About That Mitt Pic
The Left is trying to make a big deal out of an image of Romney with a Mitt fan holding up a sign: see TMZ here.
As I suspected, image at right, when you enlarge the lower right portion of the image, Romney was holding a pen, apparently preparing to sign the back of the sign. Given the crowds and numerous home made signs at campaign stops, I wouldn't be surprised if Romney never even saw the front of it.
If someone wants to fault him for that, fine, but suggesting he was holding it up as some form of a position statement is probably a bit much.

Uhhh - What's the big deal? The sign is a play on the Cape Cod Orca's verbal flub. There is no need to be defensive here.

Big deal even if he did see it. It's not like the left hasn't routinely held up offensive signs of their own, most of which make this seem pretty tame by comparison.
And it should be noted where "Osama Obama" came from in the first place...it came from Ted Kennedy, who has a hard enough time remembering his OWN name, let alone a colleague in the Senate.

Oh, that makes it better? He was actually going to sign his name to it?
"It's not like the left hasn't routinely held up offensive signs of their own.."
Hey genius, it isnt the wingnut woman who is being criticized, it is the presidential candidate...

Yeah, and as I said...it's not like those on the left haven't done far worse.
Remember a certain Dem calling Bush "Hitler" just the other day? Want me to go on? The left has absolutely NO room to complain about this...not when they've done far, far worse. So get off the high horse.

Yawn...is the ball game on yet?

It's quite alright for the left to equate Bush to Hitler but for some average American who wants to vent and let off some steam by rhyming Obama, Osama and Chelsea's Momma is an abberation? It's an election and it's open season on bashing candidates. Those who cannot stand the heat should get OUT of the kitchen. Everyone has a right to speak their mind and if you're going to get didactic with Joe or Jane Q. Public, then you're as intolerant as all those who are victim of political correctness AND you are stepping on freedom of speech.

It's all Clinton's fault. Don't forget that he got a BJ in the Oval Office.
If Obama were truly American, he would change his name to an American one.
Maybe, something like "the Dukester", or "Tom Foley", or "David Vitter". That way we all would know that he represents true American values. And, then no one would ever make fun of his name.

So you're saying Romney approached the woman from behind, and at no time allowed her to turn her ass away from him, since any frontal orientation would obviously allow him to read the sign.
It's possible. I know at rallies it's quite common for supporters to turn their backs and homemade signs AWAY from the approaching candidate.

Willard chose to pose for the photo with the woman and her sign. He didn't know what the sign said? That's a fine defense. It goes hat in hand with people too stupid to know how to spell “momma” or “mama”. Thank God No Child Left Behind hasn’t damaged our schools enough yet that it’s a majority of the American people. I suppose if he becomes president he'll sign bills without reading them either.
