That would be enforcement as in a smuggler enforcing his desire to control the border, as opposed to allowing a US border guard to do his job and save the life of an individual attempting to sneak into the country. Now, imagine this, if the smuggler managed to get across before Congress passed the bill they are currently considering, he'd likely be legal enough within 24 hours of said passage that we'd be paying his attorney fees were he to be charged. And don't forget, if said smuggler now turns up with a bullet hole in him, we'll take care of his hospital bills and probably put the border agent in prison. Isn't America a great country?
EL PASO, Texas (AP) -- An illegal immigrant drowned in a canal Wednesday after a U.S. Border Patrol agent trying to rescue him was hit in the head with a rock thrown by a suspected human smuggler, Border Patrol officials said.
The agent, who was not identified, fired at least one shot at the suspected smuggler and another would-be immigrant, who fled back into Mexico, patrol spokesman Patrick Berry said. The agent suffered a 3-inch gash in his head, but the injury was not life-threatening.
I'll bet that Sutton is investigating this border guard at the moment and planning on how he'll send him to prison.

I admit, I'm not familiar with the visa you're refering to, but is it anything like the HB-1 visa the Republicans are using to fill their staff in California with? Because, apparently, Aussies and Cannucks are fine to import. I'm sure it has nothing to do with their skin-tone either.

Nope. Not about skin colour at all.
More like a commonality of culture and language for our Australian, Canadian, and other Anglophone friends. Also, advanced skillsets that some of these folks have is likely to give them a better shot at getting in the door.
Plus, they have much less of a tendency to smuggle drugs or traffic in humans, or rampage in the countryside against actual US citizens than the rogues among the Mexicans and the OTMs that are herding into our nation by the millions each year with anchor babies or pregnant mamacitas in tow (not surprisingly, many of these being migrant women who are gang-raped by the men with them).
Of course, if El Presidente Jorge "Arbusto" Bush and his cronies get their way, we'll simply annex Mexico and grant citizenship unilaterally to everyone from the Yukon to the Panama Canal.

I'm not disgusted in the least. I just think it's hilarious that the GOP is so far removed from its voter base, it actually needs to import campaigners from outside the country to sell itself to the American People.
One the one hand, you've got Kossacks busting a hump (and a nut) to see local yockles make it to the big time political game. On the other, you've got the Grand Old Party importing their overpaid political operatives abroad. The dicotomy is... staggering.
