Or call it the liberal wince of the day. From Laurie David, wife of someone and producer of the Academy Award-winning mockumentary An Inconvenient Spoof Truth.
2 What was it like to work with Al Gore?
By the time I was done working with him, I was begging him to adopt me. He's like a father figure to me, one of my heroes. He's so charming and lovely and smart and funny. He makes fun of himself; he's got a great sense of humor. He's dry and he laughs at other people's jokes.
Something tells me Laurie won't mind being spanked on my blog. Here's laughing at you, joke ... does that mean you like us, too????
And you wonder why liberals want a nanny state.

"And you wonder why liberals want a nanny state."
Well, if it's between Al Gore as "Father Knows Best" and George Bush possing as the patriarch from "Deliverance", I know which one I'm picking.

Do you ever read this stuff before you post it?

Yeah, scar, I think he read it. It's about a lady who made a propaganda movie and how it made her happy and famous among the Libs. That's dark comedy. That's why he posted it. This is all surmise on my part.

Scar - all the 'daddy' references make her look like an idiot in need of some patriarchal caretaker. The metaphor for libs and the 'nanny state' is very clear.
I'd kind of like to spank her, myself.

I think she does much harm to women who wish to be valued for their intelligence. When she and her fellow tool Sheryl Crow open their pieholes, only the foul stench of unfettered stupidity oozes forth from them.
Much like it does as the verbal compost offered most of the lefty-lunatic trolls here.

The funny thing is the Dems actually think they are smart and independant.

It's that fog of liberalism we always hear about, P. ; )

New quote.
Liberalism is a mental handicap.

I understood the quoted portion. What perplexed me was Dan's commentary / word salad. I ken the point well enough "libruls r teh suk!!!!" but the overall construction is like one of those Bush speeches where certain people will hear what they want to hear "he said all the right things!" and everyone else cries a little inside.
"Here's laughing at you, joke ... does that mean you like us, too????"
I think I've seen R. Robot posts better than this one.

"I think I've seen R. Robot posts better than this one."
That's because you actually take these people seriously. The most ridiculous thing in the World to me is a celebrity trying to use the influence and goodwill they have with their fans to furthur a political agenda. I detest that in a person. In other words, "shut up and sing", asshole!

"libruls r teh suk!!!!"
More than three exclamation points is excessive.
"Here's laughing at you, joke ... does that mean you like us, too????"
Ditto on the four question marks. Plus, this sentence is crystal clear. If you want prose, go read firedoglake or another suitably smug set of assclowns who are intellectual poseurs.

Apparently "phoenix" was right - she needed a caretaker. And she went and got one, too. That's why I'm divorcing her and his wife is divorcing him.
