Least favorite? (politician)
Let me try and narrow it down. I’ll tell you who my least favorite Dem is, and it’s Hillary Clinton. Why Clinton?
She has been an unflinching supporter of George Bush’s war. She thinks she has to act like a Republican to win this election.
But this outright lie as regards Bush shouldn't have been published. Original report of the meeting archived below.
Have you met President Bush?
I met him about 10 weeks after Casey was killed, in Washington state at Fort Lewis. And what did you think of him?
He was a pretty shallow person. He offended our family several times in the meeting.
via The Reporter:
The 10 minutes of face time with the president could have given the family a chance to vent their frustrations or ask Bush some of the difficult questions they have been asking themselves, such as whether Casey's sacrifice would make the world a safer place.
But in the end, the family decided against such talk, deferring to how they believed Casey would have wanted them to act. In addition, Pat noted that Bush wasn't stumping for votes or trying to gain a political edge for the upcoming election.
"We have a lot of respect for the office of the president, and I have a new respect for him because he was sincere and he didn't have to take the time to meet with us," Pat said.
Sincerity was something Cindy had hoped to find in the meeting. Shortly after Casey died, Bush sent the family a form letter expressing his condolences, and Cindy said she felt it was an impersonal gesture.
"I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis," Cindy said after their meeting. "I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith."
The meeting didn't last long, but in their time with Bush, Cindy spoke about Casey and asked the president to make her son's sacrifice count for something. They also spoke of their faith.

As WND previously reported, it was after this first meeting with Bush last June that Cindy was less abrasive about the president, telling the Reporter of Vacaville, Calif., "I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis. I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith."

At least she doesn't have a cheesy sob-story about a pen. Geez...

Damned cyanotic response! BiS would be room temperature by now without it...Try to remember Bobbi, breath in, breath out, breath in, breath out...Oh hell, why am I helping this sub-moron? Must be my compassionate conservatism. Damn!

Cindy was doing fine blasting Bush until she showed she would also bite a Democrat who didn't obey her. That set her on the path to the Fifteen Minute Animal Shelter where the media keeps useful attack dogs. There they bark and are ignored until they momentarily fit the agenda of some reporter or commenator.

Yeah, man. Can't have our trained pets biting their masters' hands now, can we...?
