Concerning the National Guard comments made by Kansas Gov. Sebelius directly on the heels of a tornado which destroyed a town. via an Albany blog reportedly listening to FM talkers Quinn and Rose this morning.
She said she would not have said these things “unless she had to,” and that she was told not to pass up an opportunity like this.
KS Governor Sebilius(sic) (D) said
1. Howard Dean called me at 5AM this morning and said we needed to “use this”.
2. [Senator] Dick [Durbin] called about two hours later and told me not to ask for federal help.
3. We had “too many” National Guard personnel
Allegedly, Sam Brownback may have some knowledge of this, given a discussion with the Kansas gov. If this firms up and is proved true, Howard Dean has to go. He doesn't hold public office. He's the responsibility of the Democrat Party. And if this is how their leadership reacts in a tragedy ... he should resign.
I know radio talker and Fox Host Sean Hannity is exploring it, his show, as well as other conservative hosts, including Mark Levin can be found on line via WABC. Bush visited, you can watch his statement via link at sidebar here. He focused on lifting people's spirits. Did Dean and the Dems do just the opposite for political gain?

OMG can this be for real? If it is it will most likely get burried by the msm. The people of Kansas need to start calling for impeachment procedings right away or at least get her under oath on charges of reckless endangerment. Howard Dean and the Democrat leadership are just plain evil.

Kansa Gov. Sebelius' "unless she had to" statement is a crock of bull. Since when is any state governer obliged to carry out the orders of the Democratic Party Committee Chairman? Sebelius is the Chief Executive of the government of the state of Kansas, not Howard Dean. She never "... had to" and she knows it!

I was listening to the Quinn & Rose show this morning on XM radio when Jim Quinn told his audience that Howard Dean called Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius early, around 5 am, one morning after the tornado had destroyed the town of Greensburg, Kansas and discussed with her what to say about the tornado and how to blame the war in Iraq and the Bush administration on a slow response to the aftermath.
He also said that she, Gov. Sebelius, called Senator Sam Brownback's office only to learn he wasn't there but then called him on his cell phone and reached him while he was in his car were she confessed to him that she had been instructed by her party leadership, (more specifically, Howard Dean) on how to politicize the tornado's destruction of Greensburg and attack the White House and the Iraq war for a seemingly slow response. She reassured the Senator that her allegations didn't blame him or Pat Roberts, also a Kansas Senator, for the lack of immediate response.
That would explain her public statements to the press that proved later to be untrue. She made statements to the effect that the Iraq war and the deployment of the national guard units to Iraq from her state has left Kansas without the equipment and man power needed to respond more quickly to the tornado's aftermath. This all turns out to be false and the governor herself has back tracked on her own claims.
Mr. Quinn also revealed that she confessed to Brownback that she couldn't pass up such an opportunity like this to attack the President whose approval ratings, in this hostile political climate, is so low.
These revelations are startling and if true should call into question the governors competence and her judgment. Quinn adamantly stressed that his source was extremely reliable and in a position that would give him direct knowledge of these revelations.

Wow. Those are some damning charges. Does Quinn have any evidence at all to back all this shit up? Or is he just shooting from the hip and hoping this will stick?

Well it is one of the oddest accusations ever made.
A Democratic Governor tells a very conservative GOP Senator that she made false charges on the advice of the Democratic Chairman. And Senator Durkin go in this action?
Pretty damn fishy! Sebilius sounds like an idiot, or she was confused by the stress. But what was in this for Durkin and Dean? They knew Bush couldn't get hurt more, while it was playing with fire for them.
Blanco got away with incredibly silly statements after Katrina. But that was no surprise since no one expected LA government to work.

SHe did not need to be prodded into making a typical demonrat comment like that. Funny, all that stuff down the road at Scott AFB, Ft Riley and Fort Leavenworth. Let's not even count thousands of farmers and construction companies in Kansas........We got 2500 buses but nobody has a license to drive........

awww, ziffy, gutless wonder that you are, ya still crack me up. so now - now that it's a liberal having done the contemptible thing - now you folks, the champions of unsubstantiated slurs, need "evidence to back up those serious charges"??
the age-old question: are liberals more GUTLESS; or more HYPOCRITICAL; or more just plain CREEPY?
as for you, o chickenshit ziff, did you ever get around to answering phoenix's question as to "your proposed response to 9-11"? you SAID you did, but - guess what! - you're a liberal, so you were lying.
gutless....hypocritical....creepy....*mendacious*....

Well, considering that the Donks are willing to surrender Iraq to the terrorists and help along the slaughter of millions of people, just for a few congressional seats......
I'd say that this is right up their alley.
