Not sure if you've read of the DC Administrative Law Judge apparently being challenged in a bid for re-appointment due to bad press. It's being reported that for two years he has been carrying on a $65 Million law suit designed to punish and ultimately break a South Korean dry cleaners over one lost pair of pants.
Irony - don't get your name in the news, judge - someone might find your divorce litigation on line, too. One lost pair of pants might beat having one's dirty laundry in the news. Heh! Looks like he was trying to get back into his working wife's pants in more ways than one!
Husband filed an answer to wife's bill of complaint on May 19, 2003, and sought an award of spousal support without requesting a reservation, and made no request for equitable distribution. In his answer, husband again pled a failure to state a claim upon which relief could be granted. He also alleged that wife's grounds for divorce were fraudulent and misleading.
On May 23, 2003, husband requested pendente lite spousal support, stating that he was receiving unemployment benefits from the District of Columbia, his former employer, and
requested a lump sum of $5,000 from wife to retain counsel, and $5,000 for support and maintenance. The trial court denied the motion.
A Judge with no judgment at all. Don't we already have enough of them?

Sure hope these laundry owners have every recourse to counter sue for using the courts for harrassment. I know it can be done in family law, not sure about civil law. Anyone?

Oh they could sue his pants off, a jury would slam this slimeball down with a huge judgement which the judge would tie up in appeals etc. till the end of time. Things were so much easier when stuff like this was settled with a baseball bat.
