Priceless. The illegal alien protests last year were about criminalizing ... illegal behavior. Tell me these idiots don't need to learn how to speak English - and I mean the Leftist organizers, not the actual illegal aliens.
If only we had a government that didn't waste so much of our tax dollars on pork and a host of foolish programs we don't need, they might be able to order enough tractor and trailers to solve part of the illegal alien problem the same day as the next boycott. The tactics of these Leftists reveals as much about them as anything else. They won't stop flooding the country with uneducated, unskilled workers until they drag this country down into the muck of socialism. And Jorge Bush certainly isn't going to stop them.
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Immigration activists are calling for a repeat of last year's boycott and massive marches for immigrants' rights that drew more than 1 million people to the streets in dozens of cities nationwide.
The so-called "Great American Boycott II" is being planned for May 1, organizers for the March 25 Coalition said Monday. The group is made up of immigrant rights organizations and others who frequently plan rallies around the country.
Last year's demonstrations, on May 1, temporarily shuttered businesses and schools across the country as people took to the streets in Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and other cities.
The boycott was fueled by anger over federal legislation that would have criminalized being in the country in illegally and fortified the U.S.-Mexico border. The goal was to raise awareness about immigrants' economic power.

"They won't stop flooding the country with uneducated, unskilled workers until they drag this country down into the muck of socialism."
All this time I thought they were being hired by private contractors. Apparently they're smuggled across the border by "leftists" and paid by the government.

I agree. Pork was a serious problem the last 6 years. If only a combined Republican Congress and Presidency could come and save us from all the Pork. And the wasteful spending. Why oh why will no one save us from the deficit spending and the pork. Where oh where is my dear hero Ronald Reagan when I need him most? *fap fap fap* Oh conservative talking points, I just can't quit you.

It would be fun to see how these rallys would go if they all arrived to see dozens of ICE busses lined up a block or so away. What a pity it won't happen.

That would be cool buzzy, but your right won't ever happen. Is it illegal for private citizens do dress up a few busses to look like that though? I mean with little tiny disclaimers on them saying they weren't. Something that wouldn't be visable from the street.
It would be fun just to mess with their heads.

You know what else would be cool, bussing in all the Bloods and Crips from the area to have a counter protest. Stand back and watch the fun.

Thank God we don't have any more pork now that the dems are in control, right zif? How much pork did they need to barely pass a symbolic timeline for pulling out of Iraq...a bill that will be vetoed and that they are already backtracking on.
Yes, things will be better all around with the principled dems in power.
meet the new boss. same as the old boss.

Are you a child or just a simpleton?

This is a good thing. Nothing better than reminding otherwise complacent people that a bunch of illegal immigrants are making demands on this country. Watching such a ludicrous protest does more to piss people off than to evoke sympathy.

Well Victor I'm neither, I was making a rather sarcastic remark to underline the deep tensions between the African American community and the Hispanic community. In L.A they are have a problem with the local hispanic gangs trying to ethnically cleanse mixed neighborhoods through murder and intimidation. This trend has been on the upswing. Remarkably enough this trend matches up with the upswing in illegal immigration.
I really wonder what the libs will do when this starts getting out of hand. My guess is that in typical lib fashion they will throw the weaker side under the bus, in this case the blacks, in order to try and garner the hispanic vote.

Last years boycott and protests caused great outrage against illegal immigration around here, leading to Oklahoma being on the verge of passing one of this nations strongest anti illegal pieces of legislation.
President Bush's support for amnesty for illegals cost him a huge amount of support and continues to do so. The recent publicized ICE raids are nothing except a half hearted attempt of this corporationist administration to appear like they're doing something to uphold our immigration laws while in fact doing nothing.
This will be the downfall of the GOP in 2008 if the party is stupid enough to nominate Giuliani or McCain.

SDB, most of the gangs are allready there. Little known fact is that the majority of the gangs in CA are hispanic.
This whole immigration issue is proof the left doesn't care about the plight of the poor.....unless they can vote for them. However, once they have that vote locked up-they don't care anymore. Take a look at the plight of blacks if you think otherwise.

Here is a little know fact for you. In most of the most lib cities on the west coast they have put anti-development laws on the books. These laws make it hard for minorities to become home owners. As a result they tend to move to self segregated housing developments where they are kept in poverty. So see the left can practice their racism disguised as protecting the environment

As the Edwards incident shows liberals want nothing to do with the average person or anyone they deem as poor-beyond politics.
