Special Delivery Via Iran?

An effort apparently managed by the CIA has resulted in the capture of a major terrorism player linked directly to bin Laden: Abdul al-Hadi al-Iraqi.

WASHINGTON - The Pentagon announced Friday the capture of one of al-Qaida's most senior and most experienced operatives, an Iraqi who was trying to return to his native country when he was captured.

Bryan Whitman, a Pentagon spokesman, said the captive is Abdul al-Hadi al-Iraqi. He was transferred to Defense Department custody this week from the CIA, Whitman said, but the spokesman would not say where or when al-Iraqi was captured or by whom.

He's been in custody for a while, perhaps in a secret location, I wonder if he provided Intel for this bust. The timing of the announcements is at least curious.

Allah has much more on al-Iraqi, including his links to Iran. Allah speculates that he may have actually been captured in Iran. Could be, but I wouldn't rule out Pakistan, either.

Al Iraqi "speaks not only Arabic but Urdu, Kurdish, the Waziri tribal dialect of Pashtu and a courtly form of Persian. In the palatial salons of the gulf states he has raised millions of dollars for Al Qaeda. But dressed for the part he can easily pass for a mountain tribesman. “He’s just like any Afghan,” says Zabihullah. “He doesn’t have the arrogance and formality of other Arabs.”…" Sounds like a mastermind of evil all right. I'm reading Sir Olaf Caroe's classic out-of-print The Pathans. Olaf spent a lot of time with the Waziri tribesmen and they are far from being hillbilly rubes. During WWII, they were in contact with Nazi agents and scheming in Palestine among other places. Osama bin Laden picked the safest place to hide among this notoriously impenetrable tribal cult. Al-Iraqi must have detailed knowledge of ObL's movements before he was captured.

The left pretends AQaeda doesn't exist, or if it does, isn't a threat. Tenet came out and said they are ubiquitous in cells in the USA and he's surprised they haven't struck shopping malls. You can bet the MSM will downplay that nugget while praising GT for bashing Cheney. Hypocritical treason.
