Rusty and others are kicking about the ID of a Wayne Chiang, likely associated with the LiveJournal page and, from what I can tell, not the suspect. Though he might have had motivation. Looks like he had his butt kicked two - three years ago.

SUBJECT: Assault and Battery
During the early morning hours of Saturday, October 23, 2004, officers of the Blacksburg Police Department responded to a Foxridge Apartments parking lot near the intersection of Heather Drive and Tall Oaks Drive for a report of a fight in progress. Personnel found a male assault victim lying on the ground, suffering from fight-related injuries. Suspects fled from the area prior to officers' arrival. The victim, identified as Wayne Chiang of Blacksburg, was taken by ambulance to Montgomery Regional Hospital, but was later transferred to Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Investigation into this event is currently ongoing. Anyone having information concerning this incident is asked to call Blacksburg Police at (540)961-1150.
on wanusmaximus "and so the cycling begins" don't think he means bicycling. I'm gonna guess steroids were involved with the shooter. Wayne Chiang seems like a real asshat-hope the police give him a hard time.
