Pelosi Got Played
Speakerette San Fran Nanny Pelosi has embarrassed the United States by misrepresenting important details of her visit to the Middle East and allowed herself to played like a strung out pole dancer in a sleazy night club not even on the main strip.
The Prime Minister's Office has strongly denied that Israel relayed a message to Syria, accepting its calls to renew peace negotiations.
In a special statement of clarification, the bureau stressed that Olmert had told Pelosi that Israel continued to regard Syria as "part of the axis of evil and a party encouraging terrorism in the entire Middle East."
According to sources at the Prime Minister's Office, "Pelosi took part of the things that were said in the meeting, and used what suited her."
Ouch! Amateur hour is over now, little Nancy, it's past time to come home. If you behave, your party may even let you go out, again. All you did was stick a feather in a terrorist's cap - you should be proud.
It's time we admit that, gender aside, Pelosi is a, in a word, moron. From reader Andrew:
Federalist #75 Alexander Hamilton
........(prior) remarks ..will apply with conclusive force against the admission of the House of Representatives to share in the formation of treaties. The fluctuating and, taking its future increase into the account, the multitudinous composition of that body, (*FORBID*) us to expect in it those qualities which are essential to the proper execution of such trust........
Clearly the founders had something Nancy does not - intelligence.

Ouch, that's gonna leave a mark. Let's see what the Democratic candidates say about Pelosi's screw up. If it's nothing then great, next time they're in the White House each and every Republican can feel free to develop their own foreign policy and thumb their noses at the President.
What goes around comes around numbnutroots. It ain't gonna be pretty either.

"Republican...foreign policy...It ain't gonna be pretty."
You got that right Buzzy.

Apparently, San Fran Nan forgot that it is the President who sets foreign policy, not a Congresscritter.
Too bad for her. Ah well, we can simply hold her up as yet ANOTHER example of why the Democrats are clueless about how the government actually works.
Wait, let me correct that - they're not clueless, they just don't give a shit. The only thing they care about is grabbing power.

how does a pole dancer get played? aren't strippers playing the mens throwing them the cash?
as for the thin substance of your post, I doubt anyone said pelosi was going to bring peace to the mid east. In other news, her visit strangely coincides with the release of the british sailors. And Syria says it spoke to Iran about this. But never would Dan post about that
Posted by: LOL | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 09:16 AM
LOL, I have noticed that your posts strangely coincide with the tides of the Gulf. Somehow I don't think Dan will post concerning this phenomenon either.

The reform party of Syria views Pelosi's actions in a much different light than our liberals.

Of course, Pelosi wouldn't understand that or for that matter, care about that.

Well, we supposedly we all voted for the Democrat Party to run foreign policy.
And then she fucks up royally on her first try.
It's great, isn't it? Reminds me of the Clinton years and the incompetent, vain boobs that ran the White House.
She's Maddy The Maid with bigger tits.

WOW! LOL just said Nancy Pelosi was like a stripper selling her body for money. WOW, libs really respect women don't they. When libs get ticked off alittle bit their true feelings about people come out for all to see. Deep down inside most lib men view women as money grubbing whores. We won't even get into what they feel about Asians, African Americans and Hispanics.

"Facts are not your friends, cons."
You lefties don't know what real facts are. Hint: making something up that you want to be true aren't facts. You citing Wiki helps prove my point.
LOL, you have NO buisness calling anyone ignorant...or mentally ill...or stupid...
Posted by: Hard Right | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 10:03 AM
Funny, no comments by the lefties over how she deliberately pandered to the Syrians. As usual it's ok when a Dem does it, but not ok when a Rep does...anything. They should rename themselves the Elitest Hypocrite party.
Posted by: Hard Right | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 10:06 AM
Thats right, flag-waving con. Put your head in the sand. There is no Bandar Bush. There is no global warming. The US is winning in Iraq. Thank God for George Bush.
Oh, and when a Rep does...anything, please let me know. And Terry Schiavo doesn't count.
Posted by: Victor | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 10:11 AM
Victor just as always you shout insults and call names but have nothing else. Your buddy Nancy went to a terrorist sponsoring nation and sold out the only nation in the region that would allow things like the "Muslim Gay and Lesbian Conference". What is it with libs that they see the mirror image of things. Is it some sort of group delirium.
And once again there Vic did you have fun not starving since the last time we talked.
Posted by: southdakotaboy | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 10:22 AM
wikipedia wasn't cited kiddo. Victor posted it just so you could learn who Bandar Bush was. It's not like the post when "[citation] check the link to see why you're so wrong cons"
No.
Even your flames are completely inept, its no wonder conservatives have spectacularly failed over the last 6 years
Posted by: LOL | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 10:23 AM
as for your alexander hamilton quote well...
http://www.gwu.edu/%7Ensarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB69/part3.html
" One example of this was a congressional delegation led by Rep. Dennis Hastert (R-IL) which met with Colombian military officials, promising to “remove conditions on assistance” and complaining about “leftist-dominated” U.S. congresses of years past that “used human rights as an excuse to aid the left in other countries.” Hastert said he would to correct this situation and expedite aid to countries allied in the war on drugs and also encouraged Colombian military officials to “bypass the U.S. executive branch and communicate directly with Congress.” "
But again, I know, it's okay if Republicans break your principles.

"wikipedia wasn't cited kiddo."
Ummmm, riiiight. The link below was cited, dumbass. He wants to pretend that relationship Bush has is somehow wrong and used Wiki as proof of the Prince's character. Therefore to criticize Nancy is hypocritical-was his point. As I said, Wiki is not a reliable source. Jeez. You lefties are incapable of basic understanding or thought. No wonder your control of Congress has been a train wreck. They really need to medicate you retards before you hurt yourselves.

it wasn't brought forward as proof, it wasn't posted as an authority on anything. Victor just left the link in case you didn't know who he was and could learn more.
By the way, instead of saying "wiki is an unreliable source", why don't you point out the factual inaccuracies in the Bandar Bush article?
Oh
Because you cant
Posted by: LOL | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 10:39 AM
It wasn't brought forward as proof? LOL, give it up. You stepped in it and now insist you didn't. Problem is everyone can see it, but you.
As for Wiki it can be edited BY ANYONE. Hence the accuracy issues. In fact, several universities no longer allow it to be used as a source. Gee, wonder why that is?
Again, why is it ok for Nancy to suck up to terrorist sponsors and supporters?

Pratfall in Damascus
Nancy Pelosi's foolish shuttle diplomacy
Thursday, April 5, 2007; Page A16
HOUSE SPEAKER Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) offered an excellent demonstration yesterday of why members of Congress should not attempt to supplant the secretary of state when traveling abroad. After a meeting with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad in Damascus, Ms. Pelosi announced that she had delivered a message from Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that "Israel was ready to engage in peace talks" with Syria. What's more, she added, Mr. Assad was ready to "resume the peace process" as well. Having announced this seeming diplomatic breakthrough, Ms. Pelosi suggested that her Kissingerian shuttle diplomacy was just getting started. "We expressed our interest in using our good offices in promoting peace between Israel and Syria," she said.
Only one problem: The Israeli prime minister entrusted Ms. Pelosi with no such message. "What was communicated to the U.S. House Speaker does not contain any change in the policies of Israel," said a statement quickly issued by the prime minister's office. In fact, Mr. Olmert told Ms. Pelosi that "a number of Senate and House members who recently visited Damascus received the impression that despite the declarations of Bashar Assad, there is no change in the position of his country regarding a possible peace process with Israel." In other words, Ms. Pelosi not only misrepresented Israel's position but was virtually alone in failing to discern that Mr. Assad's words were mere propaganda.

Hahaha. The silly cons just deny, deny. Tell us about how your WAR PRESIDENT is winning the GWOT. He is so brave. What a leader! I'm sure you wish you could vote for him yet again!
Posted by: Victor | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 11:13 AM
No. Living in denial is what the left does. You know, the people who say the terrorist threat is greatly exaggerated and that Iran and even the terrorists just want peace and to be left alone? The same loons who think they haven't had a negative impact on the WOT or helped drag out the fighting in Iraq. But Conservatives are the ones in denial. Riiiiiiiight.

The libs are swamped by reality vertigo over the fact their heroine made a fool of herself. She pissed off the Israelis. She did it thinking she was being oh-so clever. She made a real bad mistake. Real bad. This is now a haunted woman. And a haunted party because of it.
Only a woman could be so foolishly motivated by revenge to make a mistake of this magnitude.
I don't like feminists. Their movement has been set back big time by this stupid woman whose sole purpose is to bring down a fine man.
Posted by: Phoenix | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 12:19 PM
your dislike of feminists raises an interesting point, phoenix. you say pelosi has set back the 'movement'; i agree. as has rosie; streisand; and pretty much every breathy halfwit starlet in hollywood. and those are the ones they BRAG about.
and then i got to wondering: who CAN be said to be an admirable feminist?? not gloria steinem: she married some guy for his money, just so she could start 'ms'. that makes her a hooker. ditto - in a different kind of currency - ditto hillary. and, really, all the rest, as far as i can see.
phyllis schlaffy (sp?) is quite a formidable woman, but i doubt she'd appreciate being insulted with the "feminist" label. coulter is quite something: love her or hate her, but she WILL win the debate. (which is why, i suspect, they no longer even attempt to debate her. they just call her bad names and then run away.) c.hoff sommers and tammy bruce are most impressive, and i imagine *they* think of themselves as 'fems', but the entire entrenched feminist hierarchy hates their guts. so...maybe they're not **real** feminists.
so who qualifies? i got nothin' here.

SO libs, has Pelosi made things better over there, easier for our side to win.
I'm not convinced you want our side to win the GWOT, you deny it exists, but if we are to win, did she help by throwing the Israelis under the bus.
I'll let you discuss it in an adult manner.
Posted by: benrand | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 01:14 PM
Apparently Mrs. Pelosi has never passed a U.S. Civics & Government class, either in school or in university. As the above-cited quote from The Federalist Papers shows, she hasn't done much serious reading into the governing principles & rules of our Republic. Her un-Constitutional actions, spurred on by her hubris, have badly compromised the President's policy, and allowed our enemies the ability to make political hay at our expense. Just another reason why the Dhimmicrats cannot be trusted with power while the Global War on Terror-or any other war-is currently in effect. These people would put our collective Nation in jeopardy to get votes and score cheap points off the Opposition.
CAN we question their patriotism yet?

A bad post by Riehl. This follows the Drudge reporting on "heckling" McCain.
Pelosi didn't embarrassed anyone.
Blogs need to verify those stories before posting anything.
Blogs next test is what U.S. Republican Congressman Darrell Issa did in Damascus, Syria. Issa visited with President Bashar Assad a day after Pelosi.
Assad sure is a popular guy these days. Everyone wants to see him; Republican's and Dem's. Only person who doesn't...is Bush.

So after your childish post, you are allowing us to discuss in an adult manner? Sir, that leaves you out. Also, the hypocracy of allowing Repthuglican reps to go to Syria, while labeling Pelosi as a terrorist sympathizer for going speaks loudly to the incompetence and updide down world you folks seem to embrace. I know with your glorious leader free falling from relevance is disturbing to you, please remember the country is bigger than Bush. Bush has destroyed much of what we used to stand for - and you are to blame for that. You are to blame for allowing the imbecile living in our WH to squander America's brave soldiers, our reputation, and our wealth simply to worship somebody (anybody). Why is it you brave repubs want a dictator? Why can't you celebrate and enjoy our democracy? Your fathers and G'fathers probably fought to keep our country free and democratic, but because of your worship for Bush, you dishonor their sacrifices. Why on earth would your reverence for this little man inspire you to want him to remain in office forever?

Pelosi is the Alpha Witch. You do understand her position in the hierarchy, don't you? That makes all the difference in the world, Tom.

"Pelosi is the Alpha Witch. You do understand her position in the hierarchy, don't you?"
She's a democrat. Which makes her a not-Republican. Which means she does not receive the benefits of IOKIARDI. Not a Republican. Get it?
Also, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~! Why do elections have consequences?! I want my boy's wrestling coach back as Speaker so we can get Congress going again on the pedophi-- people's business."

Not to mention BUSH sets foreign policy-NOT Pelosi and he asked her not to go. She goes, sucks up to terrorism supporters, and screws Israel in process. But she's in the right in your twisted pea brain?
The ones who have destroyed what we once stood for is mentally ill leftists like you. Your kind has done everything they can to destroy this country by trying to force socialism upon it, censor free speech, erode the constitution, coddle rogue regimes, and make us lose the WOT. Yet because socialist countries like France and Germany are mad us, America is ruined? Take your Zyprexa and STFU until you are around your own kind.

"
Zif,

There's no "hierarchy thing", Phoenix. Republicans have been on a virtual Oregan Trail to Syria.
http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/04/05/africa/ME-GEN-Syria-US.php
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) arrives this week, close on the heels of another delegation led by Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA).
There's no shortage of delegations coming and going. Bush just doesn't want Democratic delegations joining the wagon train. If Dems make in-roads during the '06 season, it undermines the Republican talking point that only a guy with an (R) in front of his name can successfully deal with rogue nations. They're trying to set up the campaign banner "Congressman 'X' traveled to Syria 17 times looking to make inroads with President Assad while Candidate 'Y' did nothing."
How will Democrats ever create a plan to fix the Middle East if they're locked out of the region by Presidential mandate? Republicans have been demanding a plan to end the debacle in Iraq since '04. Democrats are on the move and it's nothing but whine, whine, whine ever since.
Posted by: Zifnab | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 02:42 PM
Nancy Pelosi is a conniving idiot without brains, but with a lot of Italian chutzpah. Stick-insect boy-Assad is a liar and a murderer of Rafiq Hariri of Lebanon.
Plus the dodo from the City on the Bay misrepresents Israel's position. But no one except delusional agitpreppies take her seriously.
The Democrats are incapable of running a foreign policy and should be kept from the Oval Office. Jimmy Carter is the biggest proof of this, but Clinton ain't far behind, as Sandy Berger tried to cover up with his botched document destruction. Clinton has a lot to hide.
And the Peter Principle has proved itself in Pelosi's case when she kept her high-IQ Jane Harmon off the Intel Cte Chair cuz Jane had brains and Nancy don't. Ditto her preference for delirium-tremens victim Murtha over Steny Hoyer for Whip.
Gresham's Law works overtime in the Dem Caucus and the Dem leadership is in a race to the bottom.
How long the MSM will applaud NP's incompetent pratfalls remains the queston. The WaPo has some residual integrity, but the NYT and LAT lag behind in this respect.

Sometimes it is best to just let them talk, no? You 30% left in the kool-aid drinking club really need to get your heads screwed on straight. Note: You still do not speak to the point that Repubs went there also. Again, I know it is hard for those of you who seek a monarchy to think in terms of elections and the consequences of those elections. Your imbecile is not doing ANYTHING except destroy YOUR country - and you cheer him on? How messed up is that? Your worship of this petulant little sissy is so beyond my understanding, I have no idea what he has done for you or me. Your country is worse off under this administration and you would prefer he become king. BTW, we are not talking about Germany, France, or any other flimsy comparison. We are talking about OUR country - RIGHT NOW. Also, please note the Clinton is still not the president.
