Oh Yeah! Get Your Surge On, Libs
Hey, if they can't hang the Iraqis and our troops out to dry without a political cost, they may as well leave the nutroots high and dry. They know those "crazy liberals" are going to vote for them no matter what.
April 8 (Bloomberg) -- Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin said Democrats may be ready to compromise in the showdown with President George W. Bush over linking funding for U.S. troops in Iraq with a timetable for withdrawal.
Should Bush veto war-funding legislation that sets a limit on the U.S. military presence, Levin said the majority Democrats likely will strip out language calling for troops to start leaving Iraq in four months....
As I said at the time, who was Reid lying to, the Vet or the nutroots? Actually he's still lying to both, seems to be a habit with the Land Shark.

Could it be that even the biggest Iraq bashers in Congress agree with us that it's important to finally win in Iraq or are they finally be admitting that the majority of voters want out of Iraq in a manner that isn't surrender and the nutroots are much less important to getting themselves re elected.
I'm of the opinion that if we had Gates and Petraeus two years ago our troops would be limited to training and support by now.

"Could it be that even the biggest Iraq bashers in Congress agree with us that it's important to finally win in Iraq"
Wow. Bold stance. Maybe next we can agree that curing cancer is important, too.
So, uh, this is just a minor detail, but how exactly do we "win"?

"but how exactly do we "win"?"
Not surrendering is usually a good place to start. Kinda sets the tone.

Whew, I thought there was word that the SURGE was WORKING or something. Carry on cons, enjoy your last year of silliness. Surge on!

Yes, Purp. We could maybe take as step two the mission of the Infantry of the United States Army: To close with and destroy the enemy or his will to resist. I imagine the Marines have a very similar, if not identical, mission.

"Not surrendering is usually a good place to start."
That worked out great for all sides down at Stalingrad. When we run out of bullets, she we charge them with our bayonnets? When we run out of food, who do we get to cannabalize so we can keep fighting the good fight?

Don't worry about it, Ziffy. Most of those soldiers over there in Iraq are just a bunch of fat ass white guys, who you don't like. So don't say we, as we doesn't include you.

Don't forget, the soldiers are all black, poor and, as John Karry said, stupid.

So the failures at Walter Reed weren't the result of Republican neglect, just Republican snark? I like how you can take such a cavalier attitude towards our troops here, but manage to get your feathers all bunched up when Reid "cuts and runs from funding our troops!!1!"
What a bunch of whiny little hypocrites.

Hello again from Stamford where I'm still looking with increased desperation for my other half, Bob. It's been almost two weeks since he abandoned taking his meds for the awful disease that he contracted in Thailand; it's called Peyronie's Disease, and if untreated/unmedicated for much longer could lead to Bob's loss of one of his important appendages. If he shows up, please ask him to call home.
Thanks,
Alice

Vetter's sober again.

Yes, Mr. President, this is Walter Schlaub in our embassy in Kathmandu. I wonder if you could pick up a can of paint and brush and bring them out here. We have some paint peeling in the Bathroom and need you to touch it up. After all this is your Administration isn't it?

What side were you on at Stalingrad, Zif? I know would have been a great contributor to either one
Posted by: Fred Beloit | Monday, April 09, 2007 at 12:29 PM
Don't think about it like that, Fred. Depending on how you look at it, I just called Bush either Stalin or Hitler. This is where you break into foaming furry over my BDS.

Lovely... I can only imagine how ugly the rest of you is.

Beeyotiful, Vic.
I am a honey. To die for. :)
Zif,
Glad you got a kick out of me saying 'balls'. Doesn't take much to amuse you, evidently. ha ha ha....

What I find interesting is that this is not being covered by the msm. I mean Levin and crew had hearings right? They new Bush lied so why weren't these hearings all over the TV? Why wasn't a big press conference held when this came out.
Could it be that the Dems knew all along that Bush hadn't been lieing. Could it be that the Dems mislead the American people about this whole Iraq thing in order to win an election?
We need to start calling the Dems on this, they promised the American people hearings about the war, when are those going to happen. The Republicans should start pushing this issue. I wonder how the Dems will explain why they haven't been holding these hearings.
