That's a pretty bad thing to say. What a silly, arrogant old man.
Any thoughts from the Macaca supporters?
Right. Resume your surge, heros!

Hey, PC... Up Yours!
The best? Rutgers was really cool about it. Whew. People who are able to take it and laugh. Laughter is what it's all about. And no - I do not take offense at any of it. I'm kind of relieved, actually.

Imus and his gang are like a bunch of misbehaving little 12 year old boys. VERY juvenile.

IMUS i a liberal....issue free pass.
Posted by: Darth Malice | Friday, April 06, 2007 at 09:23 AM
I didn't even know Imus was still around. Nevermind, he's on MSNBC, he isn't really still around.
Posted by: Buzzy | Friday, April 06, 2007 at 09:42 AM
So... Imus is in a ratings slump then?
Between "nappy hos" and O'Reily's little scripted meltdown with Geraldo, looks like wingnut-TV is hurting for viewership.
Surge on, or somethin'.

Imus is an equal opportunity slanderer, thats how he gets away with it, he insults everyone, jews, gays, blacks, whites, hispanics, everybody.
Posted by: nowinger | Friday, April 06, 2007 at 12:02 PM
You're right, Nowinger. That's why it's dumb to turn this into some kind of political thing. I personally can't stand the guy, but this particular episode of 'juvenile' talk was just plain funny because they clearly were being juvenile and kind of lost it on the way. Anyone who makes a big deal out of this is just looking to be offended.
Funny stuff does happen. He made fun of both black and white girls playing sports. And it was hilarious.

Imus ratings on MSNBC have doubled in the last year, but that's still avery small percentage of his radio audience nationwide which is the neighborhood of 6 to 8 million a day. And to be fair he mainly goes after dumb people, crooks and shady congressmen, oh yeah and fat people too.

Stern and Imus are both idiots. So is their audience.

Correction-devoted audience members.

I know that the former male cheerleader likes to wear his hat while talkin' tough and clearin' brush. Its part of the costume - like the flightsuit.
We are WINNING the SURGE heroEs - keep it up!!!!

I am an African-American male who watches "Imus in the Morning". What concerns me about Imus is that his response to "why" he said those things was inadequate at best. He responce, "I don't know" is tell tale. He does want to admit to something. I think it was a planned event. No way is anyone on the Imus show remembering Spike Lee's "School Days" which was misrepresented as "Do the right thing". They knew the teams were predominantly African-American women. They planned a little shock jock mania and have expected this train wreck. They are perpared. Just watch.
They will volley back with some comment about how Hip-Hop refers to black women as Hos and bitches, which is true. The thing here that is alarming is that Don Imus has no African-Americans in his studio. Atleast I haven't seen them. None of his primary on-air staff are African-American and very few African-American personalities have graced his seating. That's the problem. This country needs to wake up to that big word "INCLUSION" and none of this stuff would happen.
Just a thought from Boston

Imus comments are racist and ignorant. Nothing about what he said was funny. The comment are offensive. No not all black uses this terms. Only the black who hate themselves and black women use these terms. That is nothing to be proud of or copy. Using Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, etc. as an excuse to justify racist comments are ridicules because not all black support these people. Why should the black who don't use or support these people have to tolerate racist comments. Also there have been black leaders speaking out (Roy Innis, Armstrong, etc.) about Al, Jessie, etc but some people purposely overlook them to try to justify racist behavior.
