Fast fingers, as in, quick, let me get my fingers in my ears.
I can't hear you!! In a one on one meeting there wouldn't be a record, no cameras, etc. If she hears him out with others present, she can't pretend to not hear him out. Absolutely revolting and totally irresponsible.
WASHINGTON, Apr. 24, 2007— As the House and Senate prepare to vote this week on the final conference report on the $124 billion troop funding bill — which would also mandate that U.S. combat troops begin withdrawing from Iraq on Oct. 1 at the latest — Gen. David Petraeus is scheduled to come to the Hill tomorrow to brief lawmakers on the progress of the recent troop escalation.
ABC News has learned, however, that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., will not attend the briefing.
"She can't make the briefing tomorrow," a Democratic aide told ABC News Tuesday evening. "But she spoke with the general via phone today at some length."
A Pelosi aide said the speaker on Tuesday requested a one-on-one meeting with Petraeus but that could not be worked out. He said their phone conversation lasted 30 minutes.

NANCY is far too busy "supporting the troops" to listen to that jackhole "Petraeus" (if that's his real name.) Clearly he's a partisan shill as AssMaster BiS,' lol, legalizeddruguser, kifknobby et al will surely come and tell us.....Helloooo? Heelllooo? Is this thing on?

Can't make it??????????? Do tell, what more pressing issues could she come up with? And yet she flew half way around the world to give hugs and kisses to terror supporting countries.
She smells more and more like her tuna packing plant.

Good point, Cindi. She's not too transparent, is she?
Kind of makes you wonder what Gen. Petraeus thinks when he has to deal with flakes like her. The military doesn't take insubordination lightly, and he's used to the code of conduct of the military. Dealing with politicians must make him crazy.

Can't make it means just that. 4 years of you losers blathering about your victories, surges, progress and liberations. No one wants to listen to the bullshit any more. Surge on, patriots!

Nancy doesn't want to show up because she knows that the escalation is working and that the American people want victory. She should be tried for treason for not attending the Briefing and worshiping at the boot of masculine authority.

She should go with the Dick Cheney deferrment excuse "other priorities".

Hmmm, she didn't have any problem worshiping at the boot of BAshar al Assad's masculine authority, she just has problems believing anyone who doesn't support Islamofascism. I demand an investigation.

"She should go with the Dick Cheney deferrment excuse "other priorities"."
Or she could shoot a football player in the back and then lie about it for propaganda value.

Good point, Buzzy, just like the liberal posters here have no problem with the radical Islamists, because the radicals are doing their dirty work. It will be interesting to see the reaction of these liberals when their friends want them to pay up for services rendered. I think I'll just sit back and watch. Should be a good show.

Maybe they could give her a fake uniform to wear - like George Bush's Wizard of Oz outfits he so likes to drees up in.
Oh yeah, hear what Laura said about Iraq: "no one suffers more than their President and I do."
What world is she living in?

grandma doesn't need a briefing from the guy actually doing the work. Why would she let first hand facts get in the way of her political posturing?
Oh yea, she went on a fact finding mission with our enemies! She has all the facts she needs!
The Democratic Party -- The blind leading the deaf.

Don't forget McCain while you're bashing. He's skipping the hearing too - so he can campaign in New Hampshire. At least Pelosi actually met with the General. McCain's just skipping out, period.
You'd think the senior member of the Armed Services Committee could make the meeting, particularly since he's such a huge backer of the Surge.
"McCain’s office has confirmed that the senator isn’t attending today’s Senate briefing with Petreaus, choosing instead to campaign in New Hampshire."

Hey lighten up, the woman is clearly out of her depth. She is a clown for all to see, let her continue and don't criticize she is showing the world what a nutty group the democrats are.

I guess I`m wondering what could be more important to pelousy than the status of our troops? Maybe she`s cleaning the drapes in her jet, or drunk in her whine cellar.
