In addition to an earlier shooting today in West Ambler Johnston, there has been a multiple shooting with multiple victims in Norris Hall.
Police and EMS are on the scene.
Police have one shooter in custody and as part of routine police procedure, they continue to search for a second shooter.
All people in university buildings are required to stay inside until further notice.
All entrances to campus are closed.
Update: As many as 17 treated for gun shot wounds.
Update: Two locations, appears to have been one shooting. 1 dead, 7 or 8 wounded. Suspect in custody. link
While reports vary, this is the first I've seen which points to two shootings. Maybe it was the same shooter in two different locations. But more and more reports are suggesting 1 dead with 7 - 8 injured.

CNN is reporting 20, yes 20, dead. Geez...

Va Tech is too violent.We must withdraw our police force because we know that only leads to more violence.
