While the Iranians are continuing their deplorable actions, parading hostages on TV, clearly the government has been busy organizing protests like the one at the British Embassy pictured at right. Obviously the government is trucking in rocks for the protesters.
Just look at how the Iranians are laughing as they attack what is considered British soil, chanting the usual death to Britain and America - nothing but stock phrases for these idiots these days.
Still, I think it's time we became a bit more compassionate in any approach to resolving this crisis. It is terribly unfair that these ass-hats must struggle with such a shortage of rocks at this critical time. And the fuel to truck them in only adds to the world's problems with Global Warming.
We need to reach out and do a real solid for these poor Iranians. A few squads of bombers could make plenty of rocks available to the Iranian population in no time at all.
If they want to scream Death to this and that, it's time we give them the benefit of perspective. Perhaps they wouldn't be so quick to call for the death of everything were they able to experience a bit of death themselves.
We should give Iran a 24 hour ultimatum, warn off foreign nationals and the press and then launch calculated strikes day after day after day until Iran relents. This is an evil regime that does not understand diplomacy; it understands strength. It is because we have shown them none that they are increasingly emboldened. It's time to stop the appeasement express.
It's time for the West to take up a chant of our own. It's a very simple one: Death to Iran.

it's an amazing constellation the minds of wingers and Islamists. "Death to Iran" huh? clever

"While the Iranians are continuing their deplorable actions, parading hostages on TV"
We torture people, Dan. How is "parading hostages on TV" anywhere remotely close to deplorable as electructing their genitals while they're being held in stress positions?

"We torture people"
Whatever was done and I am not conceding it was torture, it was done to combatants seized on the battle field. That you would morally equate that with innocvent Brits, not even Americans, kidnapped by the Iranian military displays the level of illogical moral equivalence you will stoop to to undermine the West.
Posted by: Dan Riehl | Sunday, April 01, 2007 at 06:50 PM
Well, the incident isn't about innocent Brits who were kidnapped. Two military assault teams boarded an Iranian-flaged merchant ship and were in Iranian or "disputed" waters. It is not unreasonable for the Iranians to arrest these boarding teams - I would have. However, they should have released them to the UK Embassy in Tehran by now.

noodles, even the first report from the Iranians proved that they were in Iraqi waters. No dispute, where in the world does this come from.
The allied forces are patrolling the Iraqi waters and with GPS there is no question they were in Iraqi waters. The Iranians are supplying the Iraqi Al-Quada and their own people inside Iran. It would be foolish to just let their boats approach the Iraqi coast without a search.

First off no more Irainian's allowed into Iraq any that are caught get detained. Next close the Straights of Hormuz to any and all traffic not esscorted by the US, Britain or some other allied navy.
And Zifnab I can't see how you can define what happened at Abu Grab Ass as torture. In a lot of circles what went on at that place would be considered a fun night on the town. I mean Zifnab have you ever went roaming around the internet and seen some of the stuff thats out there in the porn fetish world. How do we know that everyone invovled wasn't consenting to it. You shouldn't condem those who have diferent life styles than yours Zifnab. Those poor Iraqies probably didn't want their alternative life style exposed.

"Whatever was done and I am not conceding it was torture, it was done to combatants seized on the battle field."
They electrocuted people Dan. Then they starved, froze, and dehydrated these guys. We've got reams of photographic evidence and testimonial. And the British were just as complacent as the Americans in all this. Comparing brutal torture to making someone appear on TV in a headscarf and saying bad thinks about the Iraq occupation is about as dishonest as one can come.
The Republicans have been undermining the West for over a decade now. They've been pooh-poohing torture and genocide from Pinochet to Milosovich, from Tianamin Square to the Kremlin. Don't give me this "you're undermining the West" crap. Actually doing bad shit? That undermines the West.

We do do we. Where?

"deplorable as electructing their genitals while they're being held in stress positions?"
Please aim me at any official documentation supporting this claim. AFAIK, nobody was ever electrocuted.

I want documentation that current flowed, not that anyone was posed for a picture.

Curious given all our harsh treatment, the Gitmo prisoners have put on an average of around 20lb/each isn't it?
The one case you could legitimately whine about is the Iraqi general who died while being beaten in a sleeping bag. Yet the left rarely mentions that incident.
Posted by: Purple Avenger | Sunday, April 01, 2007 at 08:36 PM
You are mistaken James Stephenson,
Not only are these waters "disputed" but it was your good buddy Saddam himself who asserted the maritime boundaries that the Brits are now claiming. Last time I checked Saddam was still dead.
"A long-standing territorial dispute over control of the Shatt-al-Arab waterway between Iraq and Iran broke into full-scale war on Sept. 20, 1980, when Iraq invaded western Iran."
REFERENCE: http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0107644.html
Also, UK marines boarding an Iranian-flaged ship to look for automobiles that haven't paid Iraqi taxes is pretty lame. That being said, the Iranian leaders are acting like morons and they should have handed the marines over to the UK Embassy by now.
About Iran supplying alQaeda or the group calling itself alQaeda-In-Iraq; it's unlikely Shia Iran would give any weapons or funds to radical Sunni extreemists (they hate Shias and don't even consider them Moslems). I believe you are confused and should be refering to the allegation that Iran is supplying the Iraqi Shia militias. You know, the militias run by Sadr and the SCIRI/Badr-brigades (i.e., those guys who make up the majority of the Iraqi Parliment). From Laurel and Hardy: "Well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into."

Trucking in rocks? Man, that is so sad. Why don't we accomodate them with fifty B-52's loaded with rocks and drop them over Tehran?
Better. Since those called out to 'protest' don't seem to be taking it seriously, let's drop our fine anti-war protestors over Tehran. Drop Pelosi first, Sheehan second, Michael Moore third, Sean Penn...etc. They'd throw those hostages out of the country. Oh, and we'd say we're not taking our protestors back.
Hey, Zif - show us those pictures you're talking about.

Rocks? Frozen turkeys -- then we can claim it was a food relief effort gone terribly wrong.

Ah, the continued humiliation of the flat-earth patriots by 3rd world goatherders. They should sell tickets. Surge on!

One thing is for certain, any of those goatherders could kick your ass, BrainlessBob. As a matter of fact, I would pay to see you and a goatherder tangle, Bobby, or in your case, turn over and beg. Cheer on, Bobby.

Beaten, tortured, electrocuted.
The hostage soldiers in Iran are being treated like honored guests compared to the way the US treats random alleged terrorists.

PA ,
Ha Ha.... Less Nessman from WKRP, Cincinnati? Did you see that episode? I never laughed so hard in my life. Frozen turkeys...

You all stop commenting to Mr. Nuts-the-Size-of-Raisins. He gets off on it.
Poor Stamford. I feel sorry for that sucker. I bet he's had to have a prosthetic anal aperture put in since Bob's in him all the time.
Posted by: Phoenix | Sunday, April 01, 2007 at 11:51 PM
Uh, Ziffy, I'm still looking for the torture. Where's the power source for any electrocutions? That's just a bizarre pose, stupid more than anything else. And I didn't see anything else I would call torture except the guy with the bare buttocks.
And do you honestly think the US has ever fought any war, anywhere, anytime that certain people have not mistreated the enemy? And I'm talking every war the US has ever fought. Are you that stupid?
Posted by: templar knight | Monday, April 02, 2007 at 10:12 AM
Over 3000 American soldiers have sacrificed their lives to bring peace and democracy to Iraq but when Zifnab says "We"- meaning his country - he speciously refers to the conduct of a handful of renegades who thought it great fun to humiliate the enemy (and who have been punished for their misdeeds).
Not much more need be said, Zifnab. You are terminally leftarded.

Oh I get it. they are now being handed the Bible by guards wearing white gloves, are now being fed a diet fit for a King, and no longer are they being compelled to write false confessions or dress in Islamic garb. Where on earth do you get your news?
