This guy is an ass!

How ignorant do you have to be, especially when you have involved yourself into the Duke case, to not be able to pronounce Nifong's name correctly?

Saw the interview. Shabazz exposed himself for the "HATER" he is.

That was painful, it is like watching a 2 year-old and 5 year-old argue about who would win in a fight between mighty mouse and superman

Don't agree, bryce. One mature adult exposed another mature adult as being a race baiter.

Given the celebrity status we give to coaches, here was the perfect opportunity for a coach to earn hero status. The coach of the Rutgers team could have given this thing a little thought and made the decision to do the best thing for her girls and for the country. She could have demanded that her girls rise above this with class and grace and laugh it off with knowledge that they knew Imus did not mean to single them out personally. That coach and her girls could have taken so much power away from Sharpton and Jackson and set their victim-movement back decades and shown to the world just what Bill Cosby and a few other realists have been saying: One chooses to be a victim in some cases. This was one of those cases.

Instead she chose to play the victim, we-hate-whitey card for all it was worth. She had the choice, and as a leader, she dropped the ball. Just think what a show of grace and dignity and leadership would have done to the MSM. They would have had to dig out dictionaries to find the appropriate words for the courage of rising above the moment into enlightenment of what grace is all about. She carries a heavy burden in my mind. She failed her charges as much as losing the final game did - if not more.

I don't think this had a thing to do with the Duke thing. No one could facilitate the timing like that. Imus did knock the British hostages right out of the ball park, though. What a shabby showing for all concerned.

Jackson and Sharpton are reprehensible characters, and that coach had them. She had a chance to set PC off its trajectory of ruined lives and miserable people in its wake, and she chose the low road....Victim Avenue.

Imus.... he was just being himself. Those who can laugh at what he said are those who know the full context of the man and who can appreciate that what he did was to try to fight PC in his typical in-your-face manner. Shame on him, I guess. I can laugh at the things he said because he meant no harm. But then, I'm capable of laughing at myself so tend not to look to be offended. I admire his intense, on-going efforts to help children and his unabashed efforts to get help for his charities.

I am a rare individual it seems, but for sure, I would have coached those girls into being worthy of what they are not - victims. Fie on her for not recognizing her power.

She still has a chance: She and her girls could stand up to power and speak truth: Demand Imus get his job back. That would tilt this mad, mad world back onto its axis.
.

Imus and Deidre will catch today's 3 PM flight to Turks & Caicos, spend a couple of weeks basking in the sunshine.

Clear Channel will fax Imus' agent a seven figure offer to host a new show called: "IMUS: New and Improved!".

And all will be forgotten...

Heh. I'm thinking the same thing, Micah. I sure hope so.

Phoenix - I was thinking that the best thing the Rutgers team could have done was hold a press conference and say "Don who? Sorry, but I've never heard of him. He said what? On a radio show? Well, I guess they'll let anyone on the air these days. Next question?"

But they blew that chance.

There are "nappy haired hos", and then there are "nappy haired hos", and, of course, poster child for changing the rape shield laws, Duke fiasco accuser, Crystal Gail Mangum (she chews naive affluent white boys up - or at least part of them - and then spits them out, and hangs them out to dry???), is definitely a "nappy haired ho" in her own right (and more accurately so than some)!

But for my money, the poster child for the "Will The Real
'Nappy Headed Ho' Please Stand Up" title, should go to odious New Black Panther leader Malik Shabazz, who had the "black gallantry" (which he so well represents) of calling Michelle Malkin a "political whore" to her face on yesterday's Factor, which she was Guest-Hosting.

I can just picture the split screen with Michelle on one side, and the despicable Malik Shabazz on the other, as I saw it yesterday on The Factor, and the announcer say: "Will The Real 'Nappy Headed Ho' Please Stand Up"... to the only "nappy haired ho" there, on the program!!!

Well pointed out Phoenix. This coach had the ability to show her players (girls) which at 18, 19 years old is still the case), on taking the moral high road. Instead she choose to try and make a name for herself on the back of Sharpton.

My guess, knowing how female athletes respond to negatives these girls could have given a damn what Imus had to say. They would have survived and moved on. They have been involved in sports too long, not to understand the negative and the politics involved. I would bet you, sitting with each player, she would tell you, she was not offended, a bit taken back maybe, but she has been playing the game too long, even at the age of 18, 19 not to know how it works.

Sharpton and Jackson should be ashamed using these talented young women to advance their agenda.

Someone mentioned Cynthia McKinney in the context of this discussion. Cynthia McKinney? You mean the cop slapping, foul mouthed tooting, ex-Congresswoman, who associated herself with Malik Shabazz and the New Black Panthers in her last campaign, the one she lost? No, I consider Malik Shabazz a "nappy headed race-hate ho", but I wouldn't consider Cynthia McKinney a "nappy headed ho."

She's more of a "Brillo pad-haired ho"!

I hear she's made a new carer doing commercials since her defeat. She plays the Brillo pad-haired" black cleaning lady sidekick to bald Mr. Clean.

I'm sure Democratic Party Chairman Dean can relate to that and a room-full of Republicans!

Althor :)

Thanks, Cindi. Yeah - that coach came running today when she felt the tide turning. Did you notice? She held off on letting us know if the team forgave Imus until today when someone clued her in that a serious backlash was fomenting. Cheap and lowdown she is.

R. Dave - I thought of that, too. It was my first laughing response in fact. But then I watched things escalate, and I got mad. I'm so sick of this 'get whitey' mentality I could scream. It has 'Gotcha!' all over it, and it's no good for our country. This coach was in such a devastatingly perfect position to actually do something. She had the attention of everyone! She could have nuked every race-baiter and insult-talk show host..... everyone. No one would have been left unscathed. Best, all those who dumped Imus - like Obama, who in his usual mercurial fashion, waited four days before jumping ship on Imus. He had to test which way the wind was blowing. This coach could have cleaned all their clocks. White, black.... Nailed them for the phonies they are.

I thought later, kind of on the lines of Cindi's thinking, that it would be utterly smackdown hilarious if all those girls lined up in Imus's studio for a fun time of "Let's Insult Each Other!" It really would have been funny because you know they would all have laughed themselves sick. Laugh to scorn the power of PC. Those girls would have loved it. I daresay they were uncomfortable watching Imus grovel in front of them. ugh.... There are much better lessons to be learned than how to bring out your inner-pseudo-victim.

By the way .... Fire O'Reilly and give Michelle his job. She is great! Wow.

Yeah Phoenix, I watched her back stroke. No doubt after closing her ignorant mouth and hearing what these athletes had to say.

Yes, Michelle ROCKS! I would love seeing her host her own show. Quite different seeing her in action, than reading her blog. All class.

Aye! And much better looking! Oh my God, she gives me a craving for oriental - food that is...perhaps a little sushi? Roger, are you listening?

Althor :)

Check this…. Based on the color of my skin I’m guilty of slavery. My family, not the people I look like, but my family had nine members fought in the civil war only five came back. Still the Rev Sharpton ( What church does he hold sermons at?) and Jackson say I may not be guilty of slavery but I should feel bad.
Here’s the kicker….. I nor any white person ever got a f***ing THANK YOU for the sacrifices made by us. You know it was the bloodiest war ever fought on American soil, it was white on white, but the white man did nothing for blacks…… Isn’t that funny?

Any time a person of color tells you that you need to feel bad about slavery you let them know they are direct descendants of Treasonist turn coats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
During the revolutionary war the British went down south and said if any slave fought for one year they would be granted freedom…. Blacks turned out in droves. Thousands of slaves went and fought AGAINST the Americans. THAT’S TREASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know, I know they were fighting for their freedom so that excuses the crime. Wrong… in every country through out time up till today no one excuses Treason…… There is not excuse

Some people will say well America wasn’t a country at the time…. We didn’t become a country until 1782. Well that great but every American accepts 1776 as our birth of a nation. So any crimes against America starting form July 4,1776 is a crime against America …… Including Treason.

Whites who fought against slavery, those who made it a crime to have slaves should fell bad about something that was COMPLETELY LEGAL until whites changed that, but blacks are not guilty of Treason, an act that is still punishable by death. Why? Blacks may feel bad? Oh no… the ONLY people who say all the time whites should feel bad……. We can’t have those people feel bad about THEIR indiscretions. That would be wrong….. Matter of fact many may call me a racist for pointing out the truth.

REMEMBER whites this is for when you are told to feel bad about slavery. It is not an argument to make blacks feel bad.

We ALL need to stop letting the media divide us along color lines. We need solidarity so we can fight the ones separating us.

A few moons ago the powers that be gave control of two piers along the west side of Manhattan…. Every New Yorker stood up together regardless of race, creed, or color and said WE WILL NOT HAVE THIS. The next day that came to a screeching halt. Proving to me that the power of the American people was still strong.
That is my dream… The power of the American people.

When we all stand up and tell Them (powers that be) WE will not have this anymore. I know as you and They know it will truly be a new day.

Here’s your war cry -----------
THIS IS A NEW DAY AND WE WILL NOT BE DEVIDED ANY MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quote: "...the Rev Sharpton (What church does he hold sermons at?)"

Reverend Al Sharpton, and Reverend Jesse Jackson hold services at the Church of "Eternal Black Victimization and Whining"

One intersting fact. Sure, the sugar plantations, and the cotton fields, needed manpower (much as the willing Mexican slaves rush to fill those positions today), but the "hated" European "slavers" never went into the thickets of Africa to capture slaves, but bought them in exchange for glass trinkets and other baubbles in the coasts of Guinea and other West African ports.

Sure, as businessmen they traded in "commodities" and slaves were part of it.

But those who went into the bush, raided and decimated villages in Africa, and sold their fellow men as captives to the "racist Europeans" as if they were cattle, where not the "Colotionalist Europeans", but heir fellow, sonofrabitch,
black Africans! So quit all your moaning and whining you
"nappy haired hos", and come to grip with the fact that your own people sold you into slavery; don't just blame the "white devil" broker for it!

And what is distrubingly ironic, is that such genocide, and such a slave trade, even today in the 21st century, still goes on in Africa, carried out by black men, against black men!

So, my dear Tyler Goines, be proud of General Robert E. Lee and your ancestry, America's greatest General and a Gentleman, unlike the man who prevailed against him, Ulysses S. Grant, a cad and a drunkard, and be proud of him, and of your Fathers who fought in the Civil War!

An old Spanish (they have had a lot of experience with this sort of thing) Proverb says, that "You may dress the monkey in silk, but monkey he remains." That is so deliciously appropiate when applied to race-baiting Reverend Sharpton and his ilk!

Althor

Good stuff, Tyler and Althor.

Tyler, you nailed it with the conquer & divide stuff. The medium is the message and too many people are buying into what the MSM spews out every day. But I liked your example of what New Yorkers did about the piers. I don't understand the deal, but I do understand the people. I think this nation is huge with people who will come out to stand against that crap. I bet the 2008 elections will prove it. Enough!

By the way - I think "Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara should be required reading of every kid in this country before they get a diploma. It's about the battle at Gettysburg, and Shaara writes of both sides, both points of view. It is a classic. By the time you get to the last battle, with the little drum boy drumming out the marching cadence as both sides march towards each other for the final battle........well, if you are not weeping, there is something wrong with you.
