Interesting. Pundita wrote a post entitled Aboard the Black Pearl with Paul Wolfowitz:
VOICEOVER: "A long, long time ago as news cycles go -- almost two years ago -- London was hit by a series of terrorist bombings. The next day, in a gesture of solidarity and sympathy with Britain, which had been pushing radical debt relief for hopelessly indebted poor countries, the G8 Ministers gathered at Gleneagles, Scotland made a stunning promise:
Enter John Loftus, who I enjoyed listening to when he was on the now defunct John Batchelor Show. So, Loftus ends up with a liberal radio deal of his own and has Pundita on to read her post during his first show, potentially leading to a regular bit.
Very cool.

That is very cool for Pundita. I always listened when Loftus was a guest on TV.
So sickening what's happening to Wolfowitz.
A little confused.....the implication might be that Britain leaked the no-story so the U.S. would have to cough up more money for debt-relief balance?
I'm beginning to think Pat Buchanan is right. What good are allies and friends anyway.

"Britain, which already carries 60% of the funding for the IDA, groused that the United States should come up with the biggest share of the replenishment funds. The U.S. Treasury didn't see it that way, and neither did President Bush or anyone else in official Washington."
So Britian says the US should front the money. The US disagrees (what with having maxed out all its credit cards in Iraq). Since the President of the US just picked the President of the World Bank, the US doesn't feel quite the same heat that the rest of the G8 pick up. Then "Wolfy" gets caught with one hand in the till and the other hand down Ali Riza's knickers.
Now, some might suggest that sleeping with a girl, then giving her two giant pay raises when you move her to a different department, might be one's own damn fault. Others might suggest that no one made Wolfwitz commit such a huge ethical breach and he's really only got himself to blame. Still others might point out that you've got to have your head pretty far up your ass to assume you can get away with pissing off the rest of the world when you head something called the "World Bank". Finally, a few might snicker at a sex scandal bringing down a Republican (bank) President.
But not our Dan. Bravely jamming a finger in each ear and singing the theme to Pirates of the Carribean at the top of his lungs, he pronounces loud and long to anyone who will listen that Paul Wolfwitz is an innocent man and it's the rest of the world that's guilty. Because, as we all know, no one cares more about 3rd World Nations, no one has been more fervently against corruption, and no one has earned the respect of the international community more than the Neo-Con Party of the United States of America.
Surge on!
