Dan doesn't like Daily Kos
In other news, water is wet.

I don't quite follow you're bitterness, Dan. Are you claiming that Isreal doesn't have a lobby in the US? As an American Jew, I can tell you right now, catagorically, that the Jewish people are very, very, very well represented in American Government. We have to be, or a certain segment of the population takes it into its head to slaughter us wholesale every few generations.

However, like all lobbiests, the Isreali lobby doesn't do what's best for Isreal or Jews, it does what is best for the Isreali lobby. And at the moment, that lobby is in strong support of the jack-booted Lukid party - the political wing that brought you non-stop bombings in Lebanon, the wall around the West Bank, and staunch support of America's "nuke the Middle East into a radioactive Stone Age" policy.

The Isreali lobby ultimately does a horrible job of serving the interests of the Jewish people at home and abroad.

It is rather shocking that the Jewish people here in America haven't yet awakened to the fact that todays left is going to sell them out to the muslims.
Here is an idea. We need to have a bunch of lawyers documenting all this. Then when some Kos nutjob kills a Jewish person we can sue Kos for everything he owns. Leave him without a pot to piss in. We need to start taking a page out of The Southern Poverty playbook. Those guys know how to deal with the klan. We need to deal with themuslims and Kos the same way. Take their mosques and homes.

Funny for someone who claims to be a Jew being unable to spell Israeli, i.e in the text "Isreali".

I declare this to a sock puppet. Back to nazi Kos for you.

A few questions:
How many of those bombs in Lebanon?
What were the rates of bombing in Israel before the wall and after the wall?
How many nukes has the US used in the Middle East, given that is our policy?

Idiot.

The neo Nazis, the islamofascists, and our own new left have been happily snuggling together for some time. The conservatives believe that Israel has a right to exist and Israelis have a right to live without terror, we also support the right to draw cartoons and voice opinions freely. The skinheads found out long ago that they were not welcomed by conservatives and found partners who had similar ideologies.

Liberals are anti-semites?

WASHINGTON - Former Wisconsin governor and Republican presidential hopeful Tommy Thompson told Jewish activists Monday that making money is "part of the Jewish tradition," and something that he applauded.

Speaking to an audience at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism in Washington D.C., Thompson said that, "I'm in the private sector and for the first time in my life I'm earning money. You know that's sort of part of the Jewish tradition and I do not find anything wrong with that."

Thompson later apologized for the comments that had caused a stir in the audience, saying that he had meant it as a compliment, and had only wanted to highlight the "accomplishments" of the Jewish religion.

**********

So let me get this straight, GOP candidate for President Thompson gets up in front of a Jewish audience and uses a classic stereotype about Jewish people and it is liberals who are anti-semites?

WTF are you talking about?

Thompson simply said out loud what most wingnuts believe to be true. If he has no qualms saying it in front of a Jewish audience, just think of what he says in private. And Thompson is hardly a hard core winger.

Tell you what, Dan, why don't you point to an instance of an Dem candidate saying anything remotely similar.

A few quotes from Pat Buchanan - well-knownn left-winger:

Buchanan referred to Capitol Hill as "Israeli-occupied territory."
(St. Louis Post Dispatch, 10/20/90)

During the Gulf crisis: "There are only two groups that are beating
the drums for war in the Middle East -- the Israeli defense ministry and
its 'amen corner' in the United States." ("McLaughlin Group," 8/26/90)

In a 1977 column, Buchanan said that despite Hitler's anti-Semitic and
genocidal tendencies, he was "an individual of great courage...Hitler's
success was not based on his extraordinary gifts alone. His genius was an
intuitive sense of the mushiness, the character flaws, the weakness
masquerading as morality that was in the hearts of the statesmen who stood
in his path." (The Guardian, 1/14/92)

Writing of "group fantasies of martyrdom," Buchanan challenged the
historical record that thousands of Jews were gassed to death by diesel
exhaust at Treblinka: "Diesel engines do not emit enough carbon monoxide
to kill anybody." (New Republic, 10/22/90) Buchanan's columns have run in
the Liberty Lobby's Spotlight, the German-American National PAC newsletter
and other publications that claim Nazi death camps are a Zionist
concoction.

Buchanan called for closing the U.S. Justice Department's Office of
Special Investigations, which prosecuted Nazi war criminals, because it was
"running down 70-year-old camp guards." (New York Times, 4/21/87)

Buchanan was vehement in pushing President Reagan -- despite protests
-- to visit Germany's Bitburg cemetery, where Nazi SS troops were buried.
At a White House meeting, Buchanan reportedly reminded Jewish leaders that
they were "Americans first" -- and repeatedly scrawled the phrase
"Succumbing to the pressure of the Jews" in his notebook. Buchanan was
credited with crafting Ronald Reagan's line that the SS troops buried at
Bitburg were "victims just as surely as the victims in the concentration
camps." (New York Times, 5/16/85; New Republic, 1/22/96)

After Cardinal O'Connor criticized anti-Semitism during the
controversy over construction of a convent near Auschwitz, Buchanan wrote:
"If U.S. Jewry takes the clucking appeasement of the Catholic cardinalate
as indicative of our submission, it is mistaken. When Cardinal O'Connor of
New York seeks to soothe the always irate Elie Wiesel by reassuring him
'there are many Catholics who are anti-Semitic'...he speaks for himself. Be
not afraid, Your Eminence; just step aside, there are bishops and priests
ready to assume the role of defender of the faith." (New Republic,
10/22/90)

The Buchanan '96 campaign's World Wide Web site included an article
blaming the death of White House aide Vincent Foster on the Israeli
intelligence agency, Mossad -- and alleging that Foster and Hillary
Clinton were Mossad spies. (The campaign removed the article after its
existence was reported by a Jewish on-line news service; Jewish Telegraphic
Agency, 2/21/96.)

What?

interesting. If you go to lgf and look at the VT shooting thread, the consensus seems to be that because the shooter was "Asian" he was a Muslim and on a Jihad rampage.

Btw, LGF commenters have been caught in the past planting fake diaries at Kos.

I know it's late, I know you're weary....But here we are hmm hmmmhmm... Zifnab, a Jew according to him/her self, writes "Lukid party". Isn't it the Likud party? LOL writes writes "the VT shooting thread", isn't it the VA shooting. I really don't mean to be critical (God knows I make many typos and other mistakes myself), just trying to keep or get things clear.

Erica Jong, do you really have to go back as far as 1977 to show Buchanan as anti-Jewish? That was thirty years ago. And Buchanan is more or less an irrelevance now, isn't he? Do you really think he is an influential Conservative leader? But what this thread is about isn't one or two people, it is about a good portion of Kos's and other New Left commenters. There is a thick vein of anti-semitism running through left-wing sites today. That is a sad fact.

LOL, I just figured out by VT you meant VA Tech, not Vermont. So, as Emily would say, never mind.

and in correcting minutiae, Fred commits an oversight himself. Perhaps he will learn the futility of such endeavors? These are blog comments, not term papers.

Fred's oversights do not just relegate them to spelling it would seem.

Being against Israel's policies, or Israel's prominent role in the US's foreign policy is not being anti-semitic. That just debases the term. Pat Buchanan writes for conservative publications still, still appears as a conservative pundit on TV, so obviously some conservatives think he has influence. More than blog commenters, you must admit. In the bizzarro world of warbloggers, where criminality is never committed by the state of Israel or the Republican Party, American Jews are anti-semites. Logical? Hardly.

"Pat Buchanan writes for conservative publications still, still appears as a conservative pundit on TV, so obviously some conservatives think he has influence."

Buchanan was drubbed out of the mainstream conservative movement almost a decade ago. I remember the title of the National Review story -- "Go Pat, Just Go" -- that laid out why he's not acceptable in polite company. That there are some magazines that will still publish him says more about those particular magazines than conservatives in general.

His presence on TV is also meaningless; the TV types like him because he fits their shouting heads style AND he fits their stereotypes about conservatives.

"Being against Israel's policies, or Israel's prominent role in the US's foreign policy is not being anti-semitic. "

Holding Israel to a different standard than other nations IS. And that's what most of the criticism of Israel does. Fer crissake, the French in the Ivory Coast had a more free-fire policy than Israel ever has, and the people of the Ivory Coast didn't elect a government dedicated to exterminating the French!

I think the lefts double standards about Israel speaks volumes about their anti-semitism. Recently there was a gay rally in the middle east and several gay muslims went to the west back. There they were attacted and beaten almost to death. In Israel they were accepted. That right there should place the left on Israel's side in this matter.
The UN created Israel out of British controled Palistine, the Arabs did not like this and decided to get rid of the new nation. Now you can argue that the speaches the Arab leaders gave on film and radio about driving the Jews into the sea and wiping them out was all just overblown rhetoric. However you have to then wonder at the stupidity of the Arabs saying those kinds of things to a group of people fresh from the camps and gas chambers. For most of Israels history its leaders have been people with first hand knowledge of the Holocaust. It tended to make the paranoid and to take extreme actions when people started to talk about getting rid of them. The Arabs got what they deserved for saying and doing what they did. They are the ones who need to make the sacrifices now not the Jewish people.

Pat Buchanan was a leading figure of conservative thought, a presidential candidate a number of times, and continues to appear on major political talk shows every week. That's pretty high-profile compared to anonymous postings by unknowns on blogs. I'm sure if you want through the comments on LGF or FreeRebublic, you'd find some interesting points about Jews. But hey, anything to smear a liberal.

First, drive down to a small town in red state America

Second, get out of the car and announce that you are a jew.

Third, run like hell - and keep running till you hit the tree line.

Wow Danjoinstheklan that was most likely the dumbest thing I have ever seen write today. You win the prize for todays dumbest leftard you moron.

David Duke ran as a Republican as late as 1999.

87% of American Jews voted for Democrats in 2006.

But yeah, it's the left that's anti-semitic.
