Given Harry Land Shark Reid's own statements, he's prepared to sell out our troops for perceived political gain by sponsoring a bill with the leading anti-American Senator Russ Feingold:
Washington D.C. - U.S. Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) announced today that they are introducing legislation that will effectively end the current military mission in Iraq and begin the redeployment of U.S. forces. The bill requires the President to begin safely redeploying U.S. troops from Iraq 120 days from enactment, as required by the emergency supplemental spending bill the Senate passed last week. The bill ends funding for the war, with three narrow exceptions, effective March 31, 2008.
Here is the corrupt politician from Nevada's very own words:
Speaking at the National Press Club in 2005, now-Majority Leader Harry Reid said this:
"As far as setting a timeline, as we learned in the Balkans, that's not a wise decision, because it only empowers those who don't want us there, and it doesn't work well to do that."
Reid can no longer pretend to be supporting our troops given his own logic. He's sold out to the Kos Kidz and become just another unpatriotic Democrat politician.

These so-called goatherders defeated the Soviet Union. I'm telling you that these guys can fight, as they have beaten the Soviets in the Chechen Republic and in Afghanistan. To denigrate their abilities is stupid. And the Japanese Army did not have state of the art weapons by any means.
Why don't you read about the Japanese conquest of Singapore, or Bataan, for that matter? You might learn something. Or the conquest of the ME by riders from the desert, or the fall of mighty Persia to the same riders. I know, too much trouble for you, and it might just blow your theories out of the water. Better to remain ignorant is your mantra.

Ziffy, you have reached a new level of desperation. The only people you can convince with that rant are you and your sock puppets.

If you have to go back to goatherders riding on horseback to come up with an Arab victory you've proven my point for me. They, as a class of peoples, arabs, muslims are not a significant threat to the United States. Their countries are not a threat and neither are their people. Terrorist organizations who have stated their desire to attack the U.S. and who have attacked the US are a threat to the U.S. The fact that the wingers can't or won't make the distinction is one of the core problems with your worldview. Al Quaeda was and is a threat to the US. The Iraqi sunnis and shia are not a threat to the US, never were and should have been left alone.

Confederate Yankee says:
"You unilaterally decide--and provide no evidence to support--the charge that the Sunni's massacred as a result of the twin truck bombings were "innocents."
Nearly every news account said that the police entered the homes of Sunnis simply because they were Sunnis and executed them. I didn't unilaterally decide anything. Indeed, General Khalaf, head of the Interior Ministry's National Command Center said the victims were innocent, you tool. See yesterday's New York Times. He used that very word.

I have a relatively new neighbor who 6 months ago launched a vandalism attack on my house and killed our two dogs. The reason...because he "didn't like the way I looked at him and the nice vehicle I drive makes him look poor and stupid". It was quickly apparent the cops couldn't do anything because of lack of collaborative evidence. As a result, I caught him in HIS yard one evening warned him I was going to kick his ass. He laughed and then I proceeded to do just that. I dared him to call the cops...he didn't. Instead he holes up in his house and won't come out when I'm outside at any time. However, he does periodically launch eggs at my car when in the driveway and burn up portions of my yard with Round-up in a sneak-attack mode. On all occasions when I'd see him outside he quickly retreats inside when I step out. To prevent the attacks, I had to keep vigilant despite the time it takes away from other things I could be doing...all in the name of keeping the peace.
3 months ago, I called him and told him I didn't have the stomach or the will to keep this up and I'd give him two weeks to call it off because after that I'm done and handing over the reigns back to the local cops - who couldn't do anything in the first place. He laughed out loud and replied in a sarcastic tone, "oh, okay, that will give me time to rest up!". Bad strategy so I changed my mind and my almost-daily offensive moves towards him when he'd come out continued on.
The past month things have gotten nice and quiet though. In fact last week, he actually waved from afar as he he was simply walking into his house. Not a smart-ass wave but one of "hey, I know you're still there and this thing is getting ridiculous." I waved back. Since then I haven't stepped out when he's in his yard and I have noticed from inside that he's not glaring over at our house or my car anymore. I think he's ready for a truce. He knows I'm not going anywhere nor giving up taking the war to him as long as necessary. It's his move as to whether he wants to be friends or at least establish a state of detente. But as long he stays on his side of the fence and doesn't make threatening gestures I'm happy.

Nowinger if you have been watching Europe at all you will have noticed several important but for the most part unremarked upon.
First: Ethnic European birth rate down below replacement levels.
Second: Muslim immigration into Europe rates way up.
Third: European Muslim birth rates way up.
Fourth: Muslim violence against nonmuslims way up.
Fifth: Ethnic European emmigration way up.
In fifty years or less Europe becomes Muslim. Victory by birthrate with just enough violence to speed the process up. It always helps when the opposition is willing to leave.

CF says:
"You also act as if the officers who carried out these extra-judicial killings are free and walking the street, when that is not the case at all. The IA released the police officers to avert a riot, and the Iraqi police rearrested them and two civilians in took them into custody the same day."
They didn't release them to avert a riot. They released them because, accoring to one Iraqi official, the officers were traumatized due to the loss of their own relatives and thus the killings were understandable.
Yes, the Iraqi government released cold blooded terrorists because their feelings were hurt.
We have cast our lot in Iraq with animals and butchers. The Shia are no better than the Sunnis. So why in the world are we helping them?
C'mon CY - let us in. But first, you might want to post a correction on the Drudge lie from yesterday about Michael Ware. The one you ate up with a spoon.

Dan
General Petraeus and Colonel Hunt both believe that the war is not lost even though the road ahead will continue to be difficult. I prefer their opinions over those of your posters who are taking great delight in their delusional belief that surrendering Iraq to al Qaeda (though they don't realize that's what they are advocating) will impact only on Republicans and not the entire country.
Given that your your Comments section appears to have been taken over by anonymous left wingnut, hate America, morons may I suggest that you implement a Comments policy whereby comments may be made only by those who have the courage to post under their real names. Unbelievably, one of your anonymous commenters took the side of Islamist abductors over Britsh sailors operating under a U.N. mandate. It would be interesting to see if this Islamist, or Islamist sympathizer, would post this nonsense under her real name.
In the alternative you could name your Comments section: LEFTARDS TOILET.

"They, as a class of people, Muslims, Arabs are not a significant threat...Al-Quadea was and is a threat..."
Uh, nowinger, has it not ever occurred to you that the vast majority of Al-Queda members are Muslims and Arabs? Jesus, you are the stupidest SOB I have ever encountered.

Amazing that you fall for the republican vs. democrat lie.
The shareholders in the private corporation known as the Federal Reserve run the country. Do what they want or face the consequences.
Republican vs. Democrat doesn't exist! They own the media and force you to believe this!
Wake up!

As I have documented, the stay-the-course crowd supports the Shia terrorists who currently control the Iraqi government. Those of us on the left hate Shia terrorists as much as we hate Sunni terrorists. Those on the right, for some reason, love Shia terrorists.
Want proof? Al-Hakim - the head of SCIRI - a terrorist group - sat next to Bush in the White House as an invited guest recently. The man is a terrorist of the first order. An Islamic Extremist. SCIRI is backed by Iran, a clear sponsor of state terrorism. But there he was, sitting and smiling with Bush.
And the right wing? Dead silence.
Give it up wingers. You cast your lot with the Shia terrorists and now you sink or swim with them.

mkultra
There is a difference between alleging something and documenting it. The Shias who resorted to terrorism against Saddam when he insisted that the party representing 20% of the population should govern are freedom fighters not terrorists.
If the Iraq government were run by Shia terrorists the Surge wouldn't be taking place, 600 members of the al Mahdi army would not have been arrested and al Sadr would not have fled to Iran.
You don't have a scintilla of evidence to support your claim that Maliki is an Iranian stooge.
Your belief that the Shia in Iraq have traded the boot of Saddam for the boot of the Persian mullahs is delusional or plain propaganda.

That's right, you wusses, run from opinions that your hurt your little ears... like most conservative blogs, in fact. You wimps can't handle truth interrupting your little circle jerk of Bush lovin'. Sound like a bunch of fundies who preach auto-initiated exclusion from society, you know the type, e.g., home school your kids lest they be exposed because exposure would be bad since your theories can't handle the pain of daylight.

Posted by: Terry Gain | Monday, April 02, 2007 at 11:09 PM
Suck it up, Terry. My movements smell prettier and have a more attractive form for someone who lives in the real world than any normatives conservatives can offer. If you support Bush and his executive branch, you're a quivering, spineless mass who needs a daddy to protect you. Now, run along, it's bed time for snot-nosed, tighty-whities who can't hold up on their own.
Posted by: bugaboo | Monday, April 02, 2007 at 11:17 PM
Got it logically backwards bugaboo (you just shit on the floor). Those of us in the minority who want to finish the mission are strong, independent minded, clear thinking and resolute.
Now please stay up all night and explain why it is in America's interest ( not the short term interest of the Democratic party) to surrender Iraq to al Qaeda.

"There is a difference between alleging something and documenting it. The Shias who resorted to terrorism against Saddam when he insisted that the party representing 20% of the population should govern are freedom fighters not terrorists."
You are referring to the past. That was then, this is now. The Shia are now in charge. And they run the government. And they use the government to kill innocent civilians. And we train and equip and arm them.
Quit apologizing for evil. Would you just stop it. What is your problem? Have you lost your morality?
"If the Iraq government were run by Shia terrorists the Surge wouldn't be taking place ...."
You are a fool and a tool of the Shia terrorists. The surge is directed toward the Sunni insurgency. Of course the Shia terrorists want the surge. They want us to surge against the Sunnis. So does Iran.
You are just one more apologist who posts here to defend the Shia terrorists who are backed by Iran.
What the F*ck is wrong with you? Shame on you. Shame shame shame. How do you sleep at night?

Sadly when you support democracy you run the risk of getting an AlGore or a Carter or some other Iranian stooge, Chinese stooge, or Soros butt buddy elected. I watched the far left attack John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson for supporting democracy in SoVN back in the 1960's so it's not so different to see the far left attack anyone who supports democracy in Iraq now.
The common thread is that they only attack people who support democracy and only cheer on people who oppose democratic governments. For some strange reason they can't stand it when America stands up and defends people who want to vote for their government. Let's not assume that they only attack conservatives for supporting democracy, they also attack liberals who make that same mistake. They're trashing the blue dogs right now and threw Lieberman out of the party.
Saddam had been killing hundreds of thousands of Kurds and Shi'a a year for decades, yet these azzwipes never breathed a word against him. If the US wasn't in Iraq right now they wouldn't mind the fact that the Shi'a are just as bloodthirsty as the Sunni. Iran murders men, women, and children every year for homosexuality and not being chaste and it bothers these people not a bit. Saddam invaded Kuwait and not a word but the US led coalition freed Kuwait and the screaming began.
So know them as exactly what they are.
And mkultra, we have a saying that what goes around comes around, payback is a bitch. You guys really should have been nicer to the majority Shi'a for the last 40 years or so. Personally I'd give the whole lousy place to the Kurds and let them sort things out.

"The surge is directed toward the Sunni insurgency. Of course the Shia terrorists want the surge. They want us to surge against the Sunnis. So does Iran." mkultra
Wrong. The Surge is directed at all outlaws and terrorists. It began with the arrest of 600 members of the Mahdi army. If you were correct the Surge would be exempting Shia areas of Baghdad.
Do you think Petraeus is a fool? He says that if the Surge doesn't work he will report to the CIC and seek a different mandate. He's asked for 6 months to implement the Surge. Only a fool would prefer your opinion, mkultra, over his.
Do you think surrendering Iraq to al Qaeda isn't foolish? You are clearly a fool and a tool of al Qaeda.
The vast majority of Iraqis want a democratic government and peace. I believe they will get it so long as the impatient children here don't get their way.

Terry, mkultra is probably an Islamist, and a Hussein worshipper. Apparently he has no problem with the hundreds of thousands of Shia, Kurds and Marsh Arabs murdered, raped, mutilated, tortured and gassed by Hussein. In other words, he is a Sunni terrorist, or at least in sympathy with them. Obvious by his words. Sunni terrorists were the ones who brought down the WTC. Telling.

When are peolpe on the right going to wake up to the fact that the people on the left in this country want to get rid of anyone that opposes their ideas. If these guys had their way anyone who didn't agree with them would be in a re-education camp. We need to fight these guys just like they fight us. Next time there is a anti-war rally we need to go there and disrupt it by what ever means we need to use.
They try and shout down our speakers we do the same to theirs.
They steal our college newspapers we do the same to thiers.
They vandalize our stuff we vandalize theirs.
They attack our people we come right back at them.
If we don't they are going to take over and then they will come after us and our families. We need to show them that we won't go quietly.
Posted by: southdakotaboy | Tuesday, April 03, 2007 at 10:46 AM
southdakotaboy, I doubt any of that is necessary. All we need do is publicize these meetings of the moonbat community, as photos of these kooks and their shenanigans turn off the vast majority of the American people.
Yes, we should have photographers, recorders, video cameras, cellphones, and every other means there to record and video everything that happens, and then get it out to the American people.
Trust me on this one, the media would show nothing but the people disrupting these moonbat moots, and we would come off looking like bullies. That is playing into their hands.
I know this is difficult, but patience is all we need. These kooks are their own worst enemies. All you need do is just read what some of these moonbats say right here on Dan's blog. Proves my point.

"Sunni terrorists were the ones who brought down the WTC. Telling."
Also, Saddam Hussien was the 19th hijacker. He was resurrected as the 12th Imam, and if we hadn't invaded Iraq, it would have brought about the end of the world. Thus, the Iraq War was justified. QED.
Logic!
