(CBS) CHICAGO A bird appears to have flown into and damaged the engine of Vice President Dick Cheney's plane as it arrived in Chicago Friday morning.
As of noon, mechanics were inspecting the plane to see if repairs are necessary and if the plane can return to Washington. The plane landed safely, and no one was hurt.
Cheney arrived in Chicago to speak to a conservative think tank at the Ritz-Carlton.
In the speech, the vice president delivered a scathing report card on the Democrat-controlled Congress that marks its important 100-day milestone this weekend.

Rahgt, Phoenix, the crow's the thing. That's all they have left to hunt around Stamford, CT. The Dems up ahr dun over-hunted all the pahrtridge. (The tree huggers over-protect the deer so all the folks get Lahm disease.) So th'all got to hunt crow. Then they rustle it up and eat of it.
