Speaking of torture, Dan, perhaps the media might notice the torture a Knoxville, Tn. couple had to endure before being brutally murdered. I wish the couple had been called a name, then we might have gotten some action from the national media.

Please remember the families of Channon Christian and Christian Newsom. Their children were tortured, raped, mutilated. For no other reason than hate.

I think you're on the wrong thread dude, but my big question with the Channon Christian case is whether or not the TN prosecutor will go for the death penalty, IF they do, which they should, a trial has to happen since you can't plead guilty in a death sentence case. That would necessitate a trial, meaning, most likely the scum would all turn on each other and the public would hear the sick details of what was done.

Or, if the TN prosecutor goes for LWOP, they call all plead guilty and go straight to prison, no alocution and no facts beyond 'gang rape/torture/murder' coming out in public. It would also put them in the gen. population where their rape and killing of two white kids would likely make them big players in the prison culture.

Wouldn't that also make them targets nowinger?

Would it? The majority of prison inmates are black, I guess its possible other black criminals would be up in arms about rape and torture of two white college students. Somehow I doubt it, though. From what I understand prisons are divided very much on racial lines, black gangs, white gangs, hispanic gangs, maybe asian gangs if there are enough asians in prison. I don't see it. The Duke case and a couple other recent high profile cases opened my eyes to the shocking level of anti white sentiment in the black community.

I would think picking these animals off in prison would be quite a feather in the cap for the White supremists there.

Lets hope they end up where they belong...Death row ,then Hell.

"The speech bigots at Media Matters went after possibly the least conservative talker of them all, Don Imus. Well, they got him - now look what they get? Ha!"

Uh, Dan. Media Matters regularly posts on virtually every on-air personality, right wing or left wing, who makes statements they don't like. The fact that the hammer dropped on Imus, but NOT on Savage or O'Reily or whomever, has absolutely nothing to do with MM's reporting. On the contrary, it seems to be a complete coincidence. Limbaugh received no persecution by Clear Channel for ragging on Michael J. Fox's parkinsans. Hannity hasn't suffered for defaming Obama's church as a cult. The ONLY person who's suffered more than mild heat for racist remarks was Imus. Perhaps because he's on CBS and NBC - the evil librul stations - or perhaps because he wasn't right-wing enough to garner protection from the Scaife/Murdoch pundit carteel.

But whatever the reason, trying to pin Imus's firing on Media Matters is tantamount to pinning Rush getting fired from Friday Night Football on the Nation or the Daily Worker. I know they look like major political muscle machines, but I can assure you their might is greatly exaggerated.

nowinger, I don't live near any black people, and rarely encourter any black people, but I noticed a clear change after the Rodney King riots, and the OJ trial. Frankly, I was shocked by the reaction of the black community to the OJ verdict. Their gloating and celebrating a murderer beating the judicial system was an eye-opener for me.

"nowinger, I don't live near any black people, and rarely encourter any black people, but I noticed a clear change after the Rodney King riots, and the OJ trial."

Hahaha. "I live under a rock in my basement, but I've noticed a few things..." The sign of an informed citizen.

Imus got fired because advertisers started pulling out and the story didn't go away, though I think it was brutally stupid of them to fire him before he met w/the Rutgers students. The liberals ate one of their own, ceding the airwaves to Rush. And, surprisingly, Bill O'Reilly at least did go to bat for Imus: he hates him, but if Imus goes, he might be next.

I've become convinced that black racism is a huge problem and that until we address it and start treating ALL racism equally we're never going to get anywhere. I also think that until the black community stops blaming ALL the problems on white racism, they are never going to reach their potential and they will continue to see each new wave of immigrants come to the US and succeed while they fail. I live in a very diverse area, and I can tell you that all the corner stores and many of the small businesses around are run by Pakistanis or Indians, not a black owned business in sight.

Spare no mercy on the Media Matters thugs.

Uh, Ziffy, in case you haven't noticed, very few black people live out here on the plains. So I don't encounter many blacks, as most black people, or any people for that matter, rarely pick a FM road for a Sunday drive. Except Mexicans. Now I see Mexicans all the time, always wanting something from me, now why is that, Ziffy? Why are Mexicans always coming out to my ranch wanting something? I have an idea. Do you?

I just like how you noticed a serious change in black people after King and OJ and yet you don't actually know any black people. Kinda like me saying, "There aren't any birds in my trees, but they sure have been singing alot since last spring."

"Why are Mexicans always coming out to my ranch wanting something? I have an idea. Do you?"

For that, I would have to know what they're asking for. Perhaps you could learn some Spanish and find out for yourself. Then, maybe, you could tell them that whatever they're looking for you don't have any of, and they will go away. Communication can help answer so many vexing questions.

Unfortunately, if you choose to make observations primarily based on what you see through select media platforms and the demography of your immediate community, your take will always be limited by both. For ex. in NYS there is clearly an upriver/downriver demographic based on downriver (read: NYC) African American men (mostly poor, and undereducated) ending up in the penal system in upstate, where mostly poor and undereducated European Americans are employed to work in the prisons that hold the former community. In fact millions of dollars are spent maintaining this system. And employment rates in NYC benefit from the absence of these men, just as poorer residents in upstate communities benefit from the presence of jails. Not all of these men have committed violent crimes, some are in for repeat low level drug offenses.

As for the blacks gloating bit, there was never a consensus on the OJ trial/s. And as for blacks and potential, well, the revolution (and its leaders) was killed off in the sixties. There hasn't been one since then. Things have never been the same.

Here in South Dakota we had an influx of black people called "the lost boys of Sudan" they have fit in very well. They have been interviewed alot and have spoken on many college campuses here in South Dakota. They don't see a big problem with racism here in the USA.
This tends to be true for many people who come from Africa. They don't consider the US a racist country. It all must be a matter of perspective.

I agree, American blacks are going to stay at the end of the prosperity line unless or until they get over the cult of victimhood mentality that dominates African American leadership and many in the black community.

the advertiser bailed on Imus, dumbass, that's why he lost his job.
You losers are the minority for now and a long time to come. Get used to it.

Nowinger --- I recently read that the Prosecutor in the Newsome and Christian case intends to go after life in prison for the attackers.

Speaking of attitudes by blacks, if you ever go to Sacramento, CA, you might be surprised at the number of blacks and a pervasively hostile attitude. They made it big up there and literally get away with murder. The prosecutors work like hell to get a verdict and nine times out of ten the case is thrown out for some insane reason. The blacks have become very astute in getting money out of the system, too. Just one case so this comment won't go on forever: cops kill a black home less dude in self defense and the guys mother, who hasn't seen him for 15 (yes,15)years files a wrongful death suit against Sac city, the police dept. and the two officers. Then the father who had been charged with child abuse when the guy lived with him as a kid, suddenly emerged and filed his suit. Both won and are sitting very well for the rest of their lives. The government is loaded with them and they have bucks coming in and yes, they are very hostile toward whites. They think they own the roads, break in line at stores, and if the sales people don't comply with their demands, create a major public scene and eventually get away with the whatever. Case in point was a big (I saw her picture -- BIG) black chick leaves Sears with an armful of clothes and is accosted by the security guard. She drops some of the clothes, pulls a knife and slashes the guard a couple of times. In court, the judge surmised that she could have been taking the clothes to her car to show her sister and the guard should have taken that into consideration (?). She got off and the guard decided to drop his case of assault against her -- he was white.

Being half black (but light skinned), I shake my head in wonder.

Anybody got an idea as to how much Jackson and Sharpton got from the Imus debacle? The CEO or President made the comment: "this is the first time I have been done by two blacks in the same day." I believe he referred to an out of court settlement.

If true about the prosecutor not going after the death penalty then it would have to be because the details of the case are SO BAD they don't want them to become public knowledge, it would have to be a decision based on the race of the perps and the victims. That would be another story right there....a crime that is horrific by any standard: four man gang rape of a man and a woman, torture, kidnapping, mutilation of the corpses, etc....and the DP was NOT pursued, when its pursued in many cases for run of the mill murders. If TN doesn't pursue the death penalty America is indeed rushing down the path of destruction.
