Might be nothing, but it's from a message board dated March 2005 that, if the links mean anything, appears to be kurdish.

Now we're getting somewhere. I read on LGF that he was an Iranian plant, that all fits doesn't it. The Iranians, who hate us for our freedom, turned a South Korean toward jihad so the liberal Dems would take our guns away.

Ismail is Ishmael from the Old Testament, illegitimate son of Abraham and one of the foundations of Islam. Ax may be a different form of 'acts' as in "Ishmael Acts!", or AX may be referrence to a weapon of judgement, remembering that the murderer was spouting about the debauchery of the rich students at the university (a common Muslim criticism of the West).
Posted by: Deen | Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 05:55 PM
A couple of Kurdish>English dictionaries I've found tell me that ax is kurdish for ground/soil
In your quote, the use of "ax ax" seems odd in that case; unless doubling a word is some sort of superlative conjugation or something.
Ismail's ground or something?

Abrahim used an axe to bust up idols during the exodus. In some versions, it was Ishmael who did this, thus Ishmael's Axe. This still does not mean the kid was a muslim, recent or otherwise. He was just a nut who fell off the tree a little early.

Some one said they think this post was Kurdish and about the w virginia shooting.
that is not Kurdish, it is Turkish, they just put Xs for the Hs because they are from east Turkey. Kurdish is nothing like this. By the way, this is nothing. He makes a simple joke about what a xoce said which means HOCA as in Hoja as in teacher, and goes on ending with watermellon talk, obscure idiom I guess. Kapuz is watermellon in Turkish but in Kurdish it is Zerbes, see they are not alike. where do you get this stuff?

Well, this is sure off the topic of hate-filled rants on the blog, but I'll offer it up anyway.
I talked with my daughter who attends a large university in Virginia, and she said the whole campus was wearing Tech hoodies and purple and yellow colors today. She said they had a moment of silence at 2 P.M. and a vigil at 5. She said the professors are all talking about it and that everyone is beyond sad.
I watched the convocation today and noted that I've never seen President Bush look so haggard and sad. I also noted the four ministers who spoke: Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, and Christian. I also noticed the cadets from the ROTC department every where in their dress blues at attention for any help that might be needed. One father collapsed behind President Bush and Bush tried to help as did everyone around the man. EMT's gathered the stricken father up and helped him out. I also noted the kids leaning way down to touch Bush's hands as he left, and I wept when he reached high to grab and hold all the hands he could.
Had this happened at Columbia, they could have spit on President Bush. The students at Columbia would have waited to storm the podium until the Christian minister spoke. There would have been no ROTC cadets to give the sense of duty and honor justice in such a grave affair. And I noticed every kid that Fox had on to speak today said the cops were not to blame. The introductory speaker at the convocation begged the audience not to blame the police.
It seems as if Fox read FaceBook threads last night and got wind that the students were very upset with the reporters trying to make more of this than it was. I noticed *every* Fox reporter today had a different, more reverent attitude. I clicked off when Hannity came on tonight, so I have no idea if he was able to control his urge to talk about guns and Muslims and stupid cops and the need to make our country safer by handing out handguns to college kids.
People need to shut up the hate talk and count their blessings.

I noticed that you failed to name the university that your child attends but that you were willing to criticize a well know ivy league school in New York City.
I think the old adage "when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me" is applicable here.

I would no more name the place my child attends school than cut my heart out. Columbia has no stake in Virginia's sadness. But Columbia is the cynosure for all that is wrong on liberal college campuses and the whole world knows it.
Now you eat that and choke on it.

you realize Bernard Lewis, one Bush's advisors on the middle east, and perhaps the foremost mid-east scholar in the US is a prof at Columbia. Columbia is a fine school, and your use of the VT shooting to take a shit on it is disgusting. Especially after you criticized the "hate" in the threads. Couldn't help yourself to a little too eh? I feel bad for you.

theres an ROTC at columbia too. But gee, it's pretty obvious to anyone with a brain, that all you want to do is shit on an ivy league school. A little jealousy perhaps?

"There's an ROTC at Columbia too...."
Yep, but I would bet there is a movement afoot on the Columbia campus to get rid of it as we speak.
And LOL, I realize this is difficult for you to believe, but I wouldn't send my kids to Columbia if they gave my kids a FREE education. NYC is an ok place to visit once in a while, but no one should have to live there.

Phoenix trashes Columbia then says we should all shut up and end the hate talk. Hypocrisy, perhaps? Of course what Phoenix says about Columbia is utter BS. When Bush went to New York after 9/11, he was treated with the utmost respect.

cho's use of ismail ax may be a tough nut to crack. especially, since ismail is connected to all three major religions and literature, and ax could be anything from a weapon to gaming. while odd he choose to tag himself with it, it may simply be unexplainable. afterall, the guy was insane.

"NYC is an ok place to visit once in a while, but no one should have to live there."
The greatness of NYC was visible to the world on September 11 2001. And it's visible everyday, as NYC is the financial heart of the world.
But I guess cons like TK can't get over the bitterness. Bitter that NYC's population votes overwhelmingly against Bush, and rejects the childish, sadistic visions of the warbloggers. Sadly, that's all people like TK and the other cons can muster at the thought of NYC.
Looks like you guys broke your conservative mantra. Never forget?
Posted by: LOL | Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 03:20 PM
what the idiot liberals smugly singing columbia's praises are neglecting to mention.....one REAL good reason why columbia is viewed with scorn by anyone with a brain...
is the incident last october in which columbia hosted the guy who founded the border-watching minutemen. remember that, kiddies? yes, the tolerant, kind, loving columbia *liberal college-aged brainwashed swine*, not content with merely trying to *shout down* the unauthorized-by-the-party speaker, grew emboldened by the university's lack of response, so....in order to *silence speech they thought ought not be allowed*.....
the tolerant liberals rushed the stage.
and columbia, in classic hypocritical gutless fashion, refused to expel/suspend/discipline in any way the asswipes who did it.
THAT'S why columbia is held in such contempt, you sorry little stage-rushers. so you can take your smug "don't like new york so much anymore, huh?" bullshit and sell it to someone who's buying it. i recommend small children: everyone else - except college-age kids - can see your con coming a mile away.
Posted by: bloodrage bob | Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 03:56 PM
Don't forget Waleed Shoebat (sp?), who was supposed to give a speech against terrorism at Columbia but it was shut down by the oh-so-tolerant Columbia students.
Oh, and "Noyed"? You can kiss my ass, if for no other reason than you quote an entire damn comment just to make a snarky rejoinder.
Posted by: Raging_Dave | Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 04:19 PM
the incident to which you are referring was during an "open to the public event". It remains to be seen whether or not the incident was staged and not by anyone in the Columbia community.

Bitterness? What bitterness? You must have your tin foil hat on, LOL. You're projecting your clownishness again, I see.
Look, tool, just this one time, I'm going to clue you in on something, so listen good, little man. I grew up on the plains of W. Texas(near Abilene), and I like the wide open spaces, not city streets and buildings and crowds, and waiting in lines, and etc. I would no sooner live in Chicago, or LA, or Seattle, or Atlanta, or Miami, or even Dallas or Houston, than NYC. I don't like big cities, it has nothing to do with NYC. I like NYC about as much as I like any big city, which is not much, but just in case you don't know, I don't even think about how little shits like you vote or don't vote, nor do I think about how people in NYC vote. That's not what I think about. That's what little shits like you think other people think about. People of whom you know nothing. See how that works. You have a small little mind for a small little man.
Posted by: templar knight | Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 04:30 PM
The funny thing about all of this (for me, at least) is that while some of you might bash Columbia (or whatever it is that you're doing), you are completely overlooking Columbia's deep involvement in Military R&D, which includes data mining and speech processing initiatives (at least the component that I am familiar with). In other words: from an institutional perspective: my politics are irrelevant, your rage is irrelevant... They already have their multi-year DoD funding, and cultural (or political) activities on campus do not impact these other activities. Our politics are meaningless in the face of this fact.

Prozac may make certain people more prone to suicide-not homicidal. Citing what some sleazbag defense attorney tried to use a defense doesn't make it scientifically valid.

LOL---------You must not live in NYC. I was born and raised there and have many family members in the area. But please, most of the firefighters, police and those who worked at the twin towers did not live in the city. It is just like Washington DC. The workers leave at night and the criminals take over.
As for the Virgina killer; if we are going to all these people crazy we will never get to the core of the pathology. If we see all suicide bombers as crazy, which is what this guy was, how does it solved? I don't have the answers but labels are not the answer.

OMG...when was the last time you visited NYC? Certainly before Guiliani was the mayor because that is where your view of the city comes from.
Firefighters and Police Officers do not live in the city because they cannot afford to live in the city (if you mean Manhattan)...a lot of firefighter live in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island which are still NYC.
A lot of workers leave to go home to families in the suburbs and jersey but a lot of single folk live there and they sure know how to party. Also, you might have been more believable if you hadn't said "the criminals take over"...a more accurate characterization from what I could see would be "and then the tourists take over".
NYC is nothing like Washington and most other cities in this country. NYC is open 24/7 (i know i just visited for my cousin Vinnie's wedding. (no snippy comments please, that s his name) We had a great time!

I think he was using the language and the reference to Ishmael as an indication of how he catagorized himself.
Ishmael was the son of Abraham sent away while Abraham favored Isaac. In the Bible is claims that Ishmael would be a wild ass of a man and will turn brother against brother and be a thorn on ones side forever.
Cho probably thought of himself as the son who was cast out or shunned in whatever twisted logic he was trying to build for himself. Doesn't matter now though does it? The evil punk is dead and we should bury him in an unmarked hole somewhere then build a 7-11 over the grave. Him and his manifesto should both be thrown under building and forgotten forever.

no that shouldn't be done...the FBI profilers should pour over those documents with a magnifying glass and go over them countless times. For the sake of those who were murdered, they are entitled to some answers, some conclusions, not just a quick sweep under the rug.

This is pretty ignorant. I walked around manhattan at night as late as 2004, and it was just a bunch of tourists and yuppies it seemed like. Of course the fire/police guys don't live there, it's so expensive!
