Dismissed from school as a group booed and heckled commander climate in chief at a Canadian University. Maybe Canucks aren't all so dumb, after all. (Sorry Terry) Though admittedly, these were probably libs.
The former U.S. vice-president's speech was effectively his Academy Award-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth with updated statistics, and presented by an angrier, fist-shaking Gore.
His presentation was halted at least twice as opponents to his agenda began to shout out. They called him a liar and a villain, and screamed, "What about your swimming pools?" in regards to recent allegations that the monthly electricity bill of Gore's estate rivalled a year's bill for the average American home.
Meanwhile, Bill Hobbs stays on the Gore carbon offset story and discovers Al Gore's enviro-penance isn't really all that.
The company from which Al Gore gets those "carbon offsets" (snip) spends less than a quarter of its revenue on projects that offset carbon emissions

I think students throwing shit at Karl Rove's car is more entertaining, personally - but whatever. In any case, the SURGE is WORKING. Carry on!

AlGore's New World Order isn't much different than Bush's. Sorry al Qaeda Bob, no hero there.
Has anyone noticed that the left doesn't bash Halliburton now that George Soros is a major stockholder and moved it's HQ to Dubai?

Pay no attention to the melting polar ice. Pay no attention to the international scientific community. Al Gore has a big house and a big electric bill, so global warming is nothing to worry about.
Posted by: nowinger | Wednesday, April 04, 2007 at 09:40 PM
Yeah, the surge is working. Even Bob the uneducated clown has figured it out. You must have gone to Blackfive, Bobby, to check on the surge. But it didn't help you with your hate problem. You would make a great Nazi, BrainlessBob, or should I say, you do make a great Nazi. Hate on, clown!

NoBrainer...I mean, NoWinger is really 100% genius!!: "Pay no attention to the melting polar ice. Pay no attention to the international scientific community. Al Gore has a big house and a big electric bill, so global warming is nothing to worry about." This is like, hysterical man. "Melting ice caps"! HAhahahahahah..."int'l 'scientific community'" HHahahahahahahah...Oh wait..Are you serious? OMG, I thought you was spoofing the morons who believe this non-science gibberish! Oh dear. Oh poor poor nobrainer. So easily deluded, so softly led into the morass of his peoples ignorant stew. Tragic really, tho not a big loss to the thinking world.

March 2007 Arctic sea ice extent was about 7 percent smaller than the average from 1979, the first full year satellites recorded it, to 2000.
As the world warms, the extent of sea ice surrounding both poles has concerned scientists as its melting can create a feedback loop that leads to ever more warming. Ice and snow reflect solar heat back into the atmosphere. But when more of it melts, the ocean absorbs more heat, which in turn can cause more warming.
A draft U.N climate report due on Friday said climate change at the poles could threaten indigenous populations with destruction of permafrost and cut habitat for migratory birds and mammals, with "major implications" for predators such as seals and polar bears.
You people are are dumber than dirt.

Gifted meteorologist that you are nobrainer I will still not cede the floor to your utter tom-foolery. The extent of the debunking of your fatalistic phantasy is far to vast to dig into here, so I shan't even bother trying. Please just take ur lying ("NOwinger? Please, ur a lefty tool), pasty, nasty, pudgy, shemale self on over to kos or dung or ur mother's panty drawer and let the brain-havers chat. Ninny.

OUCH!
I think the push-back against Core's minions is beginning to work.
I've been standing up to the Warming Morons every chance I get. I think others are beginning to, too.
If we keep this stinging rebuke up, we can retire the Church of Cataclysm once and for all.

The international scientific community is wrong. The American scientific communityis wrong. NASA is wrong. The US Oceanographic Institute is wrong. The climatologists are wrong. The climate models are wrong. The temperature gauges are wrong. The photographic evidence is wrong. Everyone who studies the subject is wrong. Well, okay then. You really put me in my place. I feel shamed and humiliated. Can't imagine what I was thinking believing all this science stuff when all I had to do was turn on ole Rush and he could give it to me straight, there is no global warming, and if global warming is happening, its all good. Unfuckingbelievable that the wingers would literally prefer to see the planet destroyed than admit they are wrong.
Posted by: nowinger | Wednesday, April 04, 2007 at 10:14 PM
No, nobrainer, YOU are wrong. One of the thresh-holds of successful propaganda is the ignorance of the propagandized, aka YOU. Have you ready any of the refuting works on the farce of GW? ANY? EVER? Because if you are so passionate & consumed with care about the matter I can only assume that you have studied ALL sides. So, oh sniffer-of-mommy's-bras, name ur 2 favorite ANTI-GW tracs, sources, articles or books...
Posted by: vetter | Wednesday, April 04, 2007 at 10:20 PM
Because, no-brainer, if you have not studied both sides equally you are ignorant by definition. And probably unattractive. And boring. And STINKY.
Posted by: vetter | Wednesday, April 04, 2007 at 10:22 PM
The idea that scientists across the globe from dozens of different countries and different scientific disciplines have all colluded to develop a global warming propaganda machine is insane and paranoid.
Posted by: nowinger | Wednesday, April 04, 2007 at 10:27 PM
PS, there aren't two sides, there are the great majority of scientists and some fringe loonies with PHds who make crazy, unscientific claims that real scientists don't take seriously because they are so stupid, only uneducated non scientists are fooled by what the global warming deniers have to say.
Posted by: nowinger | Wednesday, April 04, 2007 at 10:30 PM
"The idea that scientists across the globe from dozens of different countries and different scientific disciplines have all colluded to develop a global warming propaganda machine is insane and paranoid."
It's par for the course coming from a bunch who fervently claim to have unearthed an unspoken alliance between gay/lesbian pacifistic atheists and militant patriarchal religious fundamentalists.

Give them time and the wingers will go back to blaming everything on the 'jew lawyers'
Posted by: nowinger | Wednesday, April 04, 2007 at 11:10 PM
Heh, well, let's not forget their strictly matter-of-fact descriptions of George Soros as a Jew moneylender.
They sure do love that noun-as-adjective construct for some reason...
Posted by: scarshapedstar | Wednesday, April 04, 2007 at 11:13 PM
Proof positve that HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS - even in Canada - tend to have the same rational faculties as wingnuts.

I think St. McCain just hired one of those wingers to aid in his "campaign."

Wingnut- noun, a term used to describe a moron; often used with adjective leftwing but in view of clear meaning adjective is increasing considered redundant.
Moron -noun, a person of very low intelligence, for example a person who uses wingnut when referring to a conservative.

If there was ever an issue that deserved real debate, it is the question of whether a)humans are destroying the planet through their consumption and, b)if so, what can we do about it?
All we seem to be able to focus on are polarizing issues (pun acknowledged) and personalities. All are distractions.
Calm down. The earth is getting warmer. that is a fact. It is also a fact that the earth has warmed before and man has survived. And man didn't cause the previous warmings, so there is reasonable disagreement as to whether the current trend can be reversed to a significant degree by DRASTICALLY changing our behavior.
Al Gore is smart enough to understand the situation as I have described it. The fact that he continues to promote the alarmist view, which is full of now-disputed assertions, makes him a shill. He, like nearly all politicians, is motivated by self-aggrandizement and financial gain. Beware Al Gore...Your grandchildren will be embarassed by your support of his agenda in the good old days of '07.
Reasonable people can address and solve this problem. Stop shouting.

'They called him a liar and a villain, and screamed, "What about your swimming pools?" in regards to recent allegations that the monthly electricity bill of Gore's estate rivalled a year's bill for the average American home.
This led Gore to joke, "I don't even know if you guys are left- or right-wing".'
Wow!! That's really tellin' 'em Al!!...idiot. I'm so glad the eco-left has this maroon as their prophet and spiritual leader. He has about a 4yr shelf life before he starts going rancid and that time's about up!

Of course the fact that the power for the home in question comes from green sources is of no consequence. typical righties, never let the facts get in the way of a good rant.

Gore's energy didn't come from "green sources" prior to him being outed on it in August 2006.
"But according to public records, there is no evidence that Gore has signed up to use green energy in either of his large residences. When contacted Wednesday, Gore's office confirmed as much but said the Gores were looking into making the switch at both homes. Talk about inconvenient truths."
http://www.usatoday.com/printedition/news/20060810/opcom10.art.htm
Gore is a huge energy hog and his celebrity followers are too. They are elitists who want the people to bike to work while Gore, Travolta, Streistand etal. jet around the globe and allegedly hire barefoot villagers in far off lands to plant trees so they can continue to enjoy their very eco unfriendly lifestyle. Just another corporationist like Bush and Soros, concerned more with making profits than the good of the nation. I fail to understand why you lefties worship him.

Green tickets, green tickets. Get your green tickets here. 10 cents an hour, only one thin dime, a tenth part of a dollar.

What really kills me about this whole global warming thing is the fact that everyone on the left is so eager to do anything that will penalize US corporations. At the same time they are perfectly willing to give China and India a pass.
My question is how much could we reduce carbon emissions if we helped China and India get thier factories up to environmental speed with ours. I mean those guys defintely pump alot more polution into the air than we do.
Wouldn't it be better in the long run to get every one to the same place and then enforce one world wide standard? That way no matter where a corporation went it would have to follow the same guide lines. Wouldn't that make more sense?
Posted by: southdakotaboy | Thursday, April 05, 2007 at 10:11 AM
You noticed that too South Dakota? If they were really so concerned they wouldn't give them a pass, now would they? Not to mention even scientists who believe GW is manmade have publicly said Gore is significantly exaggerating. As has been stated elsewhere, GW is but one part of the liberal religion.

Yeah, trouble is, you tend to have a reihlly hard time ever, like pointing out what "asinine" statements I've made, that demonstrate, in this case (I guess), that I "KNOW" that Riehl has never had a blowjob. See how that works? This is where you point out that I've said, "I KNOW Riehl has never had a blowjob" or anything of the like.
And yet again: (a) point to me where I speculated about Riehl getting a blowjob - you know, the topic YOU initiated, and (b) what the hell does making fun of Riehl have to do with being "real interested" in Riehl's sex life? I know that menopause is making you cranky, but just try to work on the hows and whys.

"My god you're a pathetic little man aren't you Dan. Lucky for you you'll never get a chance to say it to her face."
Come on, now. Dan needs our support getting over the -er um- unpleasantness he suffered in middle school, and well high school, and of course most of college, and continuting on into middle age.

you can see it in his tightly furoughed brow. Those of us that have had the pleasure of fellatio look much more relaxed, I point to Bill Clinton as a perfect example.
