It's amazing though sad when you contrast two elements currently fighting it out. On the one hand you have America, repulsed by the over-playing of images and video of mass murderer Seung-Hui Cho.
And then you have this. A radical theocratic ideology bent on destroying freedom through out the world, one that preserves and celebrates be-headings, even when done by a 12 year old boy. In a sense, radical Islam actually represents a sort of Culture of Cho.
One would think the far left of today would view radical Islam as evil based upon it's religious foundation alone. But the huggers of everything from trees to terrorists seemingly do not. And if they are incapable of distinguishing right from wrong, good from evil, there can be no guarantee that they won't one day actually become a comparable form of evil themselves.
It might cause one to wonder if the radical Left might not one day need to be purged from America with all the resolve and tactics currently reserved for terrorists. Well, it's a thought, anyway!
Have a nice day! ; )

Dan's just fantasizing.
The left does it for real, with real mass graves.

Pavlov's dogs should show up any minute now, notwithstanding LOL being the first dog to post. Good show, Dan.

"It might cause one to wonder if the radical Left might not one day need to be purged from America with all the resolve and tactics currently reserved for terrorists."
Terrorists: Fantasize about killing large numbers of Americans.
Dan Riehl: Fantasizes about killing large numbers of Americans.

There are many of these simpletons like scarshapedstar that are fully invested in a socialist leftist utopia. Where I grew up in Alameda County, my neighborhoods have completely migrated from a society of western culture people with a respect for country, church, and freedom, to a society of non-English speaking peoples and ultra-left types. My neighborhood now has over 80% non-English speaking people, who value western culture not at all, and the remaining 20% are rabid anti-Americans. We are taxed heavily for mass transit, and the buses are empty. We can't cut down a tree in our backyard. We can't remodel our house without approval from a panel. We can't sit with a neighbor and write a politician without filing with the state's FPPC commission for approval. They cancel elections frequently because they don't consider them important. The newspapers print non-stop anti-Christian, anti-Capitalism, anti-personal responsibility and wear the guise of self-righteousness such as scarshapedstar.

Personally, I don't think most Americans - particularly those living in the coastal "blue" states" - have the moral grit to purge America's enemies from her midst. We've all grown altogether to complacent and dependent upon the MSM to tell us what to think and how to act.
Folks like Cho, and those beasts (it doesn't matter what race they are, they are beasts, and beneath recognition as humans) who raped, dismembered, murdered and/or burned the bodies of Chirstopher Newsome and Channon Christian... they served their evil purpose of letting us know how truly wicked and degraded we have become as a nation.
Unless we wake up to the reality of our rejection of God and His Christ, and repent, we will certainly pay the penalty in blood and horror as American lifts up his hand against his fellow American in a bloodletting that will make the first American Civil War look like a garden party.

Here's a fun game: replace words like "American(s)," "God," and "Christ" with words like "Muslim(s)," "Allah," "Islam," and "Mohamed," for example. See if you can tell much substantive difference between seek's post and bin Laden's 1996 /fatawah/, or the video tapes his adherent's peridocially publish.
Two sides of the same deranged coin.

Idiots who cannot think for themselves, turning to God for explanation when their logical faculties are overtaxed

If I did not know anything about Cho and his crime I would still have been left with certain impressions after looking at the plays and clips of his manifesto:
First, the standards for being an "English major" in this world are very low. I do not want to single out VT either since I know this is the case elsewhere. There may be really smart English majors out there but Cho proves that this is not a necessary prerequisite. I know it is crass to focus on such a thing at a time like this but it just needs to be noted.
Secondly, I know he has a Che teeshirt in his closet or is otherwise a fan. Nobody whines that much about "rich brats" and their possessions without being a fan of Che and the gang.
Thirdly, while he is apparently not a Muslim he holds concepts like "martyr" (as defined the Islamic way in that it means dying while slaughtering innocents) in high regard.
If he was not a left-wing moonbat in his politics he certainly followed their philosophy. No wonder he sent his manifesto to NBC.

For the "L" crowd (Legalize, LOL, and Lefty Loons at Large) :
(a) In case you moonbats missed it the 30,452 previous times this has been mentioned, Christianity != Islam. They are completely, utterly, and eternally opposed to each other in what they promote and the methods used to promote their respective ideas. Unlike the Islam of OBL and Allah and Mohammed, most Christians who follow the Bible have no desire at all to kill, maim, rape, torture, or otherwise inflict pain and misery upon the unbelieving world.
(b) Not all Muslims are kill-crazy mad dogs. But a very big lot of them agree heartily with what OBL and his ilk have to say regarding the non-Muslim world, which in shorter form is "Convert to Islam... or die!"
(c) That talk about "Idiots who cannot think for themselves, turning to God for explanation when their logical faculties are overtaxed" is a page right out of Lenin's book about "religion being an opiate of the masses". Sure, whatever ye like.
Nobody (at least among Bible-believing Christians) is forcing you to accept the Gospel. Our job is to tell the world where it stands (in sin) what people have coming as a result of sin (death and eternal judgment) and how to escape that dread judgment (by believing on the name of Jesus Christ and making Him Lord of your life). OBL and the Mullahs would have other ideas regarding that which probably involve large bladed objects decapitating you.
(d) Trotting out Fred Phelps is almost a non-sequitur here: the guy has obviously been off his meds for the better part of 30 years, and has decided to take one very small part of the Bible and make a dogma out of it that does more to drive people aaway from the Gospel than bring them to it. In fact, it might be worth saying that his group is a cult.
(e) Coming back to my original point: If we are to avoid some serious evil which is coming upon this nation as a result of our negligence, and selfish cares for affluence, and an otherwise near total abandonment of God in our lives (from the schools to the churches to the household to our personal lives)... we must repent, and fall down on our faces and beg forgiveness.
The Chos and the rape and murder gangs and other sociopaths of recent years are but the very beginnings of a harvest from a wicked seed sown from some 30-40 years ago. A nation that forgets God will itself be forsaken by God: we have only to look at Europe, the very stronghold that held the darkness of the medieval ages at bay and the home of Christendom.
Today, Europe is a sorry collection of godless, socialist states that will be devoured by the tempest of Islamification started some 1400 years ago.
A similar fate awaits us, unless we repent and turn to Christ.

except theres no evidence for god, so why are we talking about cho's massacre in terms of what god wants to do. Talk about non sequiturs

I don't think we are supposed to think for ourselves.
I think, we are supposed to vote for someone who represents ourselves.
What happened in the Halls of Power, that those representatives decided to take for themselves?
Posted by: ze | Sunday, April 22, 2007 at 02:52 AM
When things get bad enough, Mr. LOL, you won't need any evidence of God, you'll call on His Name. You obviously haven't stared death in the face, yet. I used to think just like you. Certain events changed me.
Posted by: templar knight | Sunday, April 22, 2007 at 11:58 AM
And God will answer that one prayer, if you will call upon His Name:
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. -- Romans 10:13
(11) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (12)Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. (13)And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
-- Jeremiah 29:11-13

"Terrorists: Fantasize about killing large numbers of Americans.
Dan Riehl: Fantasizes about killing large numbers of Americans."
Lol lies yet again.
Terrorists fantasize about killing ALL Americans and Jews.
Dan wonders if he'll see anti-American, leftist traitors who constantly aid terrorists, reap what they have sown so that this country can be saved.
