Robert Byrd: joined the Klan when he was about 20 years old, which was about 65 years ago. His West Virginian uncle, who actually raised Byrd, was an officer, as was other adult males in his family, and Byrd was taken in easily. Byrd later said that during this time in his life he had "tunnel vision". He also claimed that the KKK's anti-communist work appealed to him, and he was involved in that. He has denounced the klan since and has expressed plenty of regret for his involvement. He eventually voted for the Civil Rights Act in 1968 and today has a 100% approval rating from the NAACP.

Ann Coulter: Her grand atonement consisted of:

"C’mon, it was a joke. I would never insult gays by suggesting that they are like John Edwards. That would be mean."

She also posted a response on her website: "I'm so ashamed, I can't stop laughing!"

...I tell ya, it's six one hand, half dozen the other. Couldn't spot a difference between the two of them even if professional torturers armed with x-acto knives ordered me to.

So much outrage to read at one time. I have to go light up a fag to release some angst.

"I have to go light up a fag"

I thought that's what the comments section was for?

They call Bush Hitler everyday and no one gets upset. Apparently , to the left, and the pants wetting right, faggots are worse than Hitler.

:)~ At least you got it.

(Don't you ever tire of the literalists you have, Dan? sheesh..)

Oh my God, We have actual physical evidence that liberals equate Robert Byrd's lynching of blacks in West Virginia with Anne Coulter calling Edwards a faggot at a convention. Is that a Georgia Tech point of view?

Who did Robert Byrd lynch, exactly? That's a pretty big accusation.

Speaking of that matter. How come Pope Nazinger gets a pass for his youthful stint in the Hitler Youth?

"How come Pope Nazinger gets a pass for his youthful stint in the Hitler Youth?"

I'm not Catholic, and I don't believe in the Pope, but come on!

You know, joining Hitler Youth was a kind mandatory event. Did you think of that yourself? If it wasn't you I need to know who to slap...
