The Democrats are pulling another political grandstanding stunt. Will the lead actress have her lines down? (from the Washington Post, page A1) She has been silent nearly four years. Today, the CIA officer whose unmasking fueled a political uproar and ... [Read More]

ET, I think you need to phone home. Nice of you to rant with nothing to back it up, must be the SOP of a right wing nut. Try reading the link below and maybe if you can pull your head out of your butt long enough to comprehend it you might get a few of your so called questions answered.

http://www.tatteredcoat.com/archives/2005/10/29/sand-in-the-eyes/

Maybe they oughtta call her *snicker* Valerie CLIT!!!!!

Congratulations, Dan. Until today, I thought Ann Coulter held sole claim to the title of "Most Vile Right-Wing 'Pundit'". But you've surpassed Malkin in second, and jumped into at least a tie with Ms. Man-Hands.

Way to go. I'm sure your Mom must be proud.

Something tells me Danny wouldn't tell his mom that he calls a married career CIA agent a whore and makes her out to be a prostitute.

By the way, isn't it kind of odd how a guy who envies the clitoris and believes that women get to have more sex than he does runs around accusing guys of being jealous of womanhood to the point of violence?

Curiouser and curiouser.

You're a real sack of shit, you know?

Raging Dave wrote: "Armitage is the one who leaked Plame's name. Once people had her name, they THEN discussed it with Rove and others."

Dave, old buddy, it might be a smart idea to spend a little less time raging and a little more time checking your facts. Richard Armitage was the source for the disclosure in Robert Novak's column, but that doesn't mean he was the only administration official (or even the first administration official) to give that information to reporters.

The Scooter Libby trial made it very clear that Libby, Karl Rove, and others were actively disclosing Valerie Plame's name in an attempt to punish Joseph Wilson.

Here's a direct quote from the Washington Post: "A former Time magazine reporter said in court yesterday that I. Lewis 'Scooter' Libby confided that the wife of an Iraq war critic worked at the CIA, becoming the second journalist to testify that the vice president's then-chief of staff disclosed the identity of undercover CIA officer Valerie Plame."

"Matthew Cooper, the magazine's White House reporter in the summer of 2003, told jurors in Libby's perjury trial that President Bush's top political aide, Karl Rove, was the first administration official to privately tell him that former ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV was married to a CIA officer."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/31/AR2007013100900.html

Any questions, Dave?

I'm just amazed that this thread made absolutely no reference to Al Gore or global warming, to be honest.

Clearly Matthew Cooper was lying in a plot to bring down the President.

Meanwhile, our President shows his leadership in action once again:

Rep. Waxman recalled that President Bush had promised a full internal probe. Knodell repeated that no probe took place, as far as he knew, and was not happening today. Rep. Elijah Cummings said all of this was "shocking."
Waxman said that Knodell's office's lack of action was a "breach within a breach." Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton called this a "dereliction of duty."

Rep. Waxman at one point said that he regretted not being able to put up a video of the president promising a full probe but added, "I guess we will leave that to The Daily Show."

—-

Chairman Henry Waxman:
“Right after the Novak column appeared, there was an outrage that this was disclosing a covert agent… the White House still has not initiated an investigation, am I correct in that statement?”

Dr. James Knodell
“That’s correct.”

http://www.speaker.gov/blog/?p=136

Come on now. You know the White House can't investigate because they will find out the whole scheme was hatched by Karl Rove and then they would have to fire him. It appears that the decider can't decide anything without Rove, so, no investigation.

I'm somewhat shocked they are disclosing the emails; I would have expected them to come under the National Security catch all for these guys.

I guess it's time to purge the traitors at the FEC now: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070316/ap_on_el_ge/reid_campaign_complaint I guess the loony right will have to find something else to lie about now.

Over / under time:

percent chance that the right wing loons will still trot out HarryReid-gate as an "example" of "commieleftist" hypocricy, thereby making it ok for the radical right to lie, cheat, and steal all it likes - 100%,

Wow, no mention of "swiftboating" Ole' Joe Wilson.

You guys are slipping.

I'm loving all the drama, it's so...high school.

If she was so covert, why did they both appear on the cover of Vanity Fair, and isn't that the most appropriately titled magazine for the both of them?

"If she was so covert, why did they both appear on the cover of Vanity Fair, and isn't that the most appropriately titled magazine for the both of them?"

God damn; this stupid canard again. The Vanity Fair article didn't have anything to do with her being covert. Being Joe Wilson's wife =/= Plame is a covert agent. Does this really have to be explained to you? And she wasn't on the cover.

For the last time, ARMITAGE OUTED PLAME. ARMITAGE ADMITTED HE DID! Your mentally ill desire to include Rove and Cheney to that list is pathetic and an indicator of you unstable hatred of Conservatives.

Plame sent her husband and as was recently proven, Cheney did not know who he was or of him until after he was being sent. So you want us to believe she didn't volunteer him? Bullsh--! She had a very active role in getting him sent.

You lefties support the troops? Who wanted to "Slow Bleed" our troops?Which party and it's supporters have called our soldiers terrorists, murderers, torturers, and Nazi's? The party of the left-the Dems-the party of anti-Americans and traitors.

As for Walter Reed, you want us to belive the problem existed solely on Bush's watch? Typical of the left, history didn't exist until Bush came to office. BTW, if Obama, and Kerry hadn't opposed closing down decrepit and obsolete hospitals, the money could have been put towards other hospitals-but as usual the left put politics before our soldiers.
Add to this that Clinton was in charge before Bush came to office. So the SHORTAGE og $56 BILLION in funds and equipment is CLINTON'S FAULT.
Not enough troops? Yup, we sure failed to take over Iraq and kick Saddam out of power, didn't we?

A fine job of fact-free personal attack, Mr Riehl. You're a credit to your tribe.

Hard Right appears to be on the same drug plan as Dan.

"For the last time, ARMITAGE OUTED PLAME. ARMITAGE ADMITTED HE DID! Your mentally ill desire to include Rove and Cheney to that list is pathetic and an indicator of you unstable hatred of Conservatives."

Are you too mentally ill to recognize that Armitage only "outed" Plame to Novak, AFTER her name had been tossed out there by Cheney's office?

"Plame sent her husband and as was recently proven, Cheney did not know who he was or of him until after he was being sent. So you want us to believe she didn't volunteer him? Bullsh--! She had a very active role in getting him sent."

Uh, what was "proven" at trial is that the Cheney came up with the mission and Wilson was sent at the suggestion of his wife, dumbass. Plame didn't have the authority to "send" him anywhere, yet Cheney had the clout to get the entire operation started. What also came to light at trial is that Cheney never requested the report turned in by Wilson - at least that's what Libby, the convicted perjurer claimed ....

"You lefties support the troops? Who wanted to "Slow Bleed" our troops?"

Wow, way off course. "Slow Bleed" was a term invented by Drudge and the Moonie Times, professor. You idiots use it; the Dems do not.

"As for Walter Reed, you want us to belive the problem existed solely on Bush's watch?"

Lord. Walter Reed was approved to be mothballed on Bush's watch. The WaPo story, if you bothered to read it (I know - crazy) details that conditions at WR began declining in 2003 when the Pentagon cut its budget in anticipation of the closing of the facility, and that the Pentagon failed to recognize the number of injuries that would require long-term care that would be coming into the facility as a result of the Iraq war. And last time I checked, there weren't any protracted military conflicts going on during the Clinton years, to the extent that WR and the military in general were grossly over-extended. Idiot.

"Typical of the left, history didn't exist until Bush came to office. BTW, if Obama, and Kerry hadn't opposed closing down decrepit and obsolete hospitals, the money could have been put towards other hospitals-but as usual the left put politics before our soldiers."

Wow, what a remarkably inane and unsupportable conclusion - even for a buffoon for you.

"Add to this that Clinton was in charge before Bush came to office. So the SHORTAGE og $56 BILLION in funds and equipment is CLINTON'S FAULT."

Jesus. Again, under Clinton's watch THERE WEREN'T TENS OF THOUSANDS OF SOLDIERS BEING INJURED IN COMBAT. CLINTON HASN'T BEEN OVERSEEING THE PENTAGON DURING THE IRAQ WAR. You assholes will blame Bill Clinton for EVERYTHING rather than admit fault - which would be one reason why the public has stopped listening to your barking.

"Not enough troops? Yup, we sure failed to take over Iraq and kick Saddam out of power, didn't we?"

Failed to take over Iraq? Yeah, pretty much. If the opposite is true, why are we still there? Are you even capable of proffering anything approaching a coherent / honest position?

More idiocy from Limp Wrong, thank you for being the idiot you have been proven to be.

Wow Dan! Bitter much? Do you take lessons from Coulter or she from you? Or rather, as I think, did you both attend Guckert/Gannon's alma mater, The Leadership Institute, and get your 4-hour degree in going *"over the top"?
Interestingly Dan's post, clearly argued as it is, follows the guidelines as set forth in Coulter's scholarly work "Slander: Liberal Lies about the American Right":

-"…hate is the coin of the realm for liberals."
-For liberals, "name-calling need bear no relationship to the facts."
-"…ad hominem attack is the liberal's idea of political debate."
-"Liberals don't try to win arguments, they seek to destroy their opponents…"
-Liberals are "savagely cruel bigots who hate ordinary Americans and lie for sport." .
-Liberals are "completely unhinged."

It would seem that Dan Riehl is a liberal! Who knew?

wow, you men-folk on the right sure do like to make fun of other men's sexuality. sounds a lot like transference to me. you poor guys, you should embrace your penis size (or lack thereof) or you should finally act on your impulses and go for those anuses you've been secretly coveting all of these years.

Hey Rob

First, kiss my ass.

You post a link to a fitzgerald news conference as evidence that some crime was committed. What an ignmoramus. this guy has been on a witch hunt form day one, of course he says that scooter's obstruction conviction indicates guilt on the part of other admin officials. so what?

YYY never responded to my contention that mr fitz found no evidence of any crime during his three year multi-million dollar investigation. Sure, scooter got shafted for pissing off fitzy, but nobody committed a crime by releasing VP's name. period. the rest is just partisan drivel.

Hey kaufman...you're an ass. try to educate yourself before you come back here. you'r making yyy look smart by comparison.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2007/03/meatgrinder_politics.html

So sorry ET, I thought you could read. My apologies for giving you too much credit, I won't make that mistake again.

Prosecutors bring cases they think they can win, with the White House and DOD all lined up to argue Plame didn't have legal protection, he probably thought he couldn't win.

Hey, it's the Armitage talking point in all its worthless splendor. Three problems with it, goofball righties:

1) Libby had already lied to investigators before Fitzgerald even got on the case. For Fitzgerald to discover this and not to pursue it would've been dereliction. Armitage has nothing to do with the situation that brought Libby to trial and which sends him to the cooler.

2) Every instance of telling the press about a NOC without checking to see if it's clear is covered under the Act. Armitage broke the spirit of the Act if not the letter. Later, Libby broke it also, as did Fleisher, who had immunity. This may be too hard for righties to understand, but just because a house has been robbed already doesn't mean the next robber in isn't also breaking the law.

3) Armitage was also a Bush Administration official. You want another ex-Bushie in the dock, fine. You seem to think that the good guys claim him. Nope, the bullet-headed neckless turd is yours. Keep pushing this one. If against all hope you get traction with it, it just blows up in your face like every other one.

You guys are so much fun. You're now like oh-for-fifty except for William Jefferson and his cold cash.

And Dan, Valerie Plame could kick your ass.

No kidding, she could. I could go into her being more intelligent, wealthier and fifty times more accomplished than you, but to say that a girl could grind your face into the curb is, knowing you, a better bet for humiliation.

Dan Riehl weighing in on the sexuality of another man is like Pamela Anderson discussing proper dating etiquette. Maybe it's projection? Funny how the slur of choice amongst "the he-man woman haters club" on the nether reaches of the far right is always about teh gay. Man, I've never seen so many alleged heteros freak out over the homos. Factor in the fact that your average far-right dingbat finds Ann Coulter --a barren, emaciated, middle-aged woman who still sports her high school sophomore haircut-- attractive and you lay bear the raging latent homosexuality amongst the wingnut commentariat.

Maybe if you guys had gotten laid back in the 70s and 80s, you wouldn't be so bitter about lefties like Joe Wilson having a hot blonde wife. Or is it Mark Foley you guys fantasize about?

Bordo, there are so many inconsistencies in your little rant that one really doens't know how to reply. Dude, throw those mushrooms away.

LOL, Dan, that is the funniest post I have read all day. Thanks, I needed that.

I got my money on Dan, diangone. VP is just too skinny, and lacks the muscle mass to grind anything other than some coffee beans for her cappachinos. And she may be rich and intelligent, but to have to listen to her liberal dogma all the time would cause the average man to retch. As for her accomplishments, well, what are they?

>As for her accomplishments, well, what are they?

Hmm, let's see... maybe if she was a COVERT CIA AGENT we could ask someone.

From a soldier:

...I am tired of Democrats who tell me they support me, the soldier on the ground, and then tell me the best plan to win this war is with a “phased redeployment” (liberal-speak for retreat) out of the combat zone to someplace like Okinawa.

I am tired of the Democrats whining for months on T.V., in the New York Times, and in the House and Senate that we need more troops to win the war in Iraq, and then when my Commander in Chief plans to do just that, they say that is the wrong plan, it won’t work, and we need a “new direction.”

I am tired of every Battalion Sergeant Major and Command Sergeant Major I see over here being more concerned about whether or not I am wearing my uniform in the “spot on,” most garrison-like manner; instead of asking me whether or not I am getting the equipment I need to win the fight, the support I need from my chain of command, or if the chow tastes good.

I am tired of junior and senior officers continually doubting the technical expertise of junior enlisted soldiers who are trained far better to do the jobs they are trained for than these officers believe.

I am tired of senior officers and commanders who fight this war with more of an eye on the media than on the enemy, who desperately needs killing.

I am tired of the decisions of Sergeants and Privates made in the heat of battle being scrutinized by lawyers who were not there and will never really know the state of mind of the young soldiers who were there and what is asked of them in order to survive.

I am tired of CNN claiming that they are showing “news,” with videotape sent to them by terrorists, of my comrades being shot at by snipers, but refusing to show what happens when we build a school, pave a road, hand out food and water to children, or open a water treatment plant...

robbie, the only mistake you make is to keep posting your asinine comments here. You served me up a big gulp of your kool aid with that link. I ain't drinking it. I did read it, and reject it for its obvious liberal slant, and its overall stupidity.

Piss off and have a nice day.

Keep chanting that Patrick Fitzgerald is a liberal, I am sure their are other right wing loons that will believe that insanity no matter how idiotic that claim is. As for drinking Kool-Aid you obviously have drank quite a bit of it and if it helps you to sleep at night keep at it, does not change the fact that the reason Mr Fitzgerald stated for not charging anyone with outing Ms Plame does not change. You really do need to phone home though, the rubber room misses you.

Covert CIA agent, huh? That particular profession has been the target of Leftist missles for years. I wonder what changed the Left's perception of that particular line of work.

Correction: their= they're

"I mean, there's a guy with I want to be a woman so bad, I'm going to beat the crap out of one written all over him, if you ask me."

Re: Homophobia.....Me thinks thou doest protest too much........

Now, Rob, you've accused commenters on the Right of being stupid for making spelling and contraction errors. Is it OK now for us to call you stupid, you know, using your(not you're) own logic?

"I am tired of Democrats who tell me they support me, the soldier on the ground . . . "

What the hey? Hard Right, you've got an awful lot of time to spend writing nut-job screeds on Riehl's Web site for someone who's "on the ground" in some war zone, don'tcha?

I'm gonna toss out an educated guess, and you tell me how close I am: Like Riehl, the "ground" is the computer in your mom's basement, and the "war" in which you're a "soldier" is against nothing more than a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos.

"Re: Homophobia.....Me thinks thou doest protest too much........"

You only just noticed?

oh robbie, the reason fitz didnt charge anyone with outing VP is that no one outed VP. She wasn't protected under the relevant statute, so no crime occured.

i never said fitz was a liberal. I said you referred me to a liberal blog that quoted a fitz news conference. Are you really as stupid as you appear? seriously, you are embarrassing your own side. stay away from your keyboard.

Oregon boy, don't you think Rob is stupid? He obviously doesn't know the difference between their, they're and there, and when and where the use of each is appropriate. You've also been one to criticize the other side for spelling and contraction errors. Now, tell Rob how stupid he is, or play the role of the hypocrite. Which is it going to be?

Hey Hard Right, if you're so sick of all that shit, there's always a place for you in the US Marine Corps. Sign up quick. The war's almost over! I hear they turned a corner.

LOL @ ET, I do think you need to give back your Cracker Jack law degree because you did not get your money worth. But please answer one question from me,"How does someone go through their life with their head up their own ass?" Maybe someday you will see the light of day again.

I know you have a man crush on me templar but no matter how much you beg me to slap you around again I will not do it. But you might want to look at my post 1 minute after the one that got you so excited where I corrected my blunder. But I guess your monitor was too sticky with your premature excitement to see the correction.

robbie boy,

just for fun I ran back through your posts. You seem to enjoy hurling sophomoric insults, but I have seen nothing of substance written over your name. It makes me wonder if you get some kinky pleasure out of calling people names. put down the vasaline jar, pervert. Don't you get tired of posting with one hand?

Your so-called correction was incorrect, genius. There was the appropriate form to use.

...I am sure their are other right wing loons....

Your correction-.....I am sure they're other right wing loons....

The contraction they're stands for they are. Using it in the context you used it is wrong, i.e.....I am sure they are other right wing loons....

The correct form to use would be:...I am sure there are other right wing loons...

And to have a man crush on someone would require that someone to be a man. Doesn't apply in your(not you're) case, bimbo.

You are a hoot ET, you whine about insults while making them yourself. I guess you are lucky being a hypocrite is not painfull. There is nothing of substance to Dan's site, it is too bad that right wing loons are too simpleminded to see that. It is nice to know I have another groupie though, kind of funny you claim I post nothing of substance but you wasted your time to check it. That is the difference between you and I, you aren't worth the time it would take to check on all your posts.

Oh poor templar, getting your keyboard all sticky now. Gee, you caught one error I made and that negated the half dozen of yours that I pointed out? Unlike you though I am more than willing to own up to my mistakes and not cower like others do and pretend it did not happen. I can honestly say though that I do enjoy laughing at your stupidity, have you ever thought of being a comedian?

It's bleakly funny watching Dan desperately wanting to emulate his hero Ann Coulter and call Joe Wilson a faggy fag fag faggot, but knowing that he has to maintain a veneer of 'civility' in order to keep his gig on Reliable Sources.

Haha, good one, Rob. I'm just proving what a hypocrite you are. Never point out anyone's errors again, dumb butt. You don't have the credibility.
