Paul McNulty and David Margolis. Margolis is the assistant to McNulty and Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty is the problem at Justice, along with a handful of Democrat careerists the President should have fired in 2001.
Between Global Warming being pushed by the Marxists, the Leftist behavior of many Democrat members of Congress - the feckless Liberal careerists undermining everything from State to the CIA, it's times like these that make you wish we could depend on someone solid to come along and ferret out the traitors.
Okay, maybe without teh "guy" to his right.
This outa leave a mark! heh!
Is there a coup at Justice?

Oh, yeah, throw the race card in there, Ziffy. Is that all you got? Lost the argument, so go for race, huh?

I think the idea of Republicans trying to deny blacks the right ot vote is a bit of an overblown stereotype.
I agree, it is bad enough that the elections are tainted with lies, virtual bribes, personal attacks and so forth, adding in voter fraud to the mix would make our democracy even more of a joke than it already is...no matter which side is doing it.
I'm not sure voter fraud is one of the 'major' problems facing our nation though.
PS...your glorious president just found a new way to gut the endangered species act, seems that by the new 'interpretation' a species isn't endangered as long as it is thriving somwhere and its historic range is irrelevant, e.g. if you have some endangered species on your property all you have to do under the new rule is make sure you kill ALL of them, and then it will be their 'historic' habitat and not a problem.

“People who understand the history and the mission of the United States attorney and Justice Department — they are uniformly appalled, horrified,” said Atlee W. Wampler III, chairman of a national organization of former United States attorneys and a prosecutor who served in the Carter and Reagan administrations. “That the tradition of the Justice Department could have been so warped by that kind of action — any American should be disturbed.”
********
Fired San Diego U.S. attorney Carol Lam notified the Justice Department that she intended to execute search warrants on a high-ranking CIA official as part of a corruption probe the day before a Justice Department official sent an e-mail that said Lam needed to be fired, U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein said Sunday.
*********
The top FBI official for San Diego said that Lam's dismissal would jeopardize several ongoing investigations. "I guarantee politics is involved," special agent in charge Dan Dzwilewski told the paper.
*******
One of the U.S. attorneys fired by the Bush administration after Republican complaints that he neglected to prosecute voter fraud had been heralded for his expertise in that area by the Justice Department, which twice selected him to train other federal prosecutors to pursue election crimes.
David C. Iglesias, who was dismissed as U.S. attorney for New Mexico in December, was one of two chief federal prosecutors invited to teach at a "voting integrity symposium" in October 2005. The symposium was sponsored by Justice's public integrity and civil rights sections and was attended by more than 100 prosecutors from around the country, according to an account by Iglesias that a department spokesman confirmed.
*****
Mr. Iglesias said he had believed that his bosses shared his view that United States attorneys should stay above the fray. “I thought I was insulated from politics,” he said in an interview. “But now I find out that main Justice was up to its eyeballs in partisan political maneuvering.”
Since his ouster, Mr. Iglesias has received support from other federal prosecutors, who say the department failed to honor its obligation to ensure that decisions about prosecutions are free of political taint.
******
John McKay, one of the fired attorneys, says he was pressured by Republicans to bring voter fraud charges after the 2004 Washington governor’s race, which a Democrat, Christine Gregoire, won after two recounts. Republicans were trying to overturn an election result they did not like, but Mr. McKay refused to go along. “There was no evidence,” he said, “and I am not going to drag innocent people in front of a grand jury.”

I just don't get why anyone defends this stuff.
Why would any member of the public want people in power who don't respect the rule of law?
Why would anyone defend the idea of firing a us attorney because he failed to either prosecute people when there was no evidence or because he prosecuted the 'wrong' people when there was evidence?
A normal person would find this indefensible.

At the rate we are going, I am fully expecting a military coup in th next 10 years, or for a sitting POTUS to dissolve COngress and the SCOTUS and declare himself Dictator-for-Life/El Presidente.
Of course, it will be an illegal Mexican immigrant who would be that sitting POTUS when it happens.

I'm pretty sure if Dubya thought he could get away with declaring martial law in order to 'protect our freedom' he would have. I even vaguely remember right after 9/11 Bush and the cons were floating the idea of putting in some kind of a provision to allow the president to extend his term in times of crisis, but it didn't get very far. Can't deny, the cons think big.

I agree. The Dems should be flogged for flaunting the constitution, but witch hunts seem to be their chosen way of politics today.

Ha, Ha, very funny.
Someone needs to tell the decider that he is in fact not a feudal lord and that everyone in his government does not have to swear a blood oath of fealty to him.

Don't be so hard on Roy, at least he was a self-hating queen, right? If he were alive nowadays he could get a weekend cure like Haggard.

Remember when Bill Clinton had Janet Reno fire 93 federal prosecutors in one day? I do! These prosecutors serve at the decision of the President and the AG, no job security at all. Are you sure you want to change that? Really really sure?
Y'all just keep screaming in feigned outrage at the newest puff of smoke your masters email you with. It doesn't matter or maybe it will when and if you get a lefty in as President.
The way it looks right now you're running two pretty much unelectable characters in the race. Hillary is a joke, half of you don't like her and the other half is afraid to admit you don't like her. Obama is totally unelectable, most of the nation thinks he's a Muslim and even most black won't vote for "Barry". Edwards shot himself in the foot by announcing in NOLA and then shot the other foot with the anti Christian bloggers, unfortunately his foot was in his mouth at the time. He's done. Nobody can seem to remember the names of the other guys running, wonder why? (Except for Kucinich which is the only DEM with any huevos).
But honestly I secretly hope Hillary gets into office. We've learned lots from the manic left the last few years and I'm going to love crushing DEM careers for a change. I hear that Hillary can expect some serious heat over Vince Foster too. Hope you guys like being saddled with all the Republicans in office once you make your point that they can't be fired except for job performance. Be very careful what you wish for guys, it's always a double edged sword.
Two things I can predict for the future if the DEMs in in 08 is that the North American Trade Union NeoCons will be purged from the GOP and Witch Hunts for everyone on the left.
But I honestly think that in '08 you guys will come up a dollar short and a day late once again. The "blue dogs" that put Pelosi and Reid in charge in '06 aren't happy and major fracture lines are already showing. And your far left is mad as hell too. You're candidates are acting too much like the Bush they claim to hate. They won't defund the war, they talk about hearings but they won't do it, they won't impeach (never intended to BTW).

Well, well. I go away to get some island sun for a week and return to you rednecks still supporting your decider in chief, his silly lost war and the political firings of federal prosecutors. Some things never change. Well, carry on, patriots. Get ready for your next civil war or whatever it is you do with your vast amounts of free time. Surge on!

Carol Lam investigated and successfully prosecuted Duke Cunningham (the Duke-stir). When the AG realized she was about to start investigating another Republican for similar corruption she was fired.
Hmm... but yes, this is no big deal right dan

Most of the content of this site is simply beyond parody, but I did enjoy this bit:
templar knight at 05:18 PM - "And the Secretary of State in Florida was almost run down in an incident in 2004, when an unhinged Leftist attempted to do what? I take it he didn't intend to just touch her with his vehicle."
templar knight at 06:09 PM - "Numerous news accounts of the attempt to run down Katherine Harris in the 2004 election in Florida."
Personally, I'd settle for even one news account suggesting that Katherine Harris was the Secretary of State in Florida in 2004.

I was so distracted by her flashing everyone with her new boobs on Fox News, it didn't really occur to me to ask what political office she was holding. How'd that Senate race go anyway? I thought Princess Harris was gonna be a Senator for sure. Her and Macaca Allen would have made a cute pair.

Interesting site you have here sir. The comments from the WWP are most illuminating demonstrating the breath and depth of Stalinist progressivism in the US.
I do enjoy show trials and loved the Phlame show where as a scret agent almost no one in Washington knew she worked for the CIA. Wow. I wonder how many covert operatives can make that boast and still claim to be outraged at being outed. So we can look forward to the usual cast of Politboro wanna bes run their little show trials till the American public wakes up to the extent of the corrupt nature of land baron Reid and his freezer side kicks Jefferson andthe like.

You liberal reds sure are hilarious sometimes. You really don't realize just how dangerous you are to yourselves and your country. That's ok though....you just keep on marching around and twisting this great country in to the level of perversion to fit your liking. Because i'll be there smiling on the hillside when the real patriots of this country have had enough and start pushing back. Because when we've had enough and decide that the world would be better without your kind then, like St. Patrick before us, we will be sure to run all of you snakes out of the country and hopefully right in to the ocean.

Oregon boy, I was posting from memory, and she was the former Secretary of State. Hang me, I guess, for making a mistake on Katherine Harris' title. Someone still tried to run her down, which was the pertinent information.

"You really don't realize just how dangerous you are to yourselves and your country."
Don't worry, I use lots of safety caps on my bottles and I put the safety plugs on my wall sockets. But I'm touched that you think health care for veterans, equal justice under law, and political accountability are "twisted" "perversions".
Keep typing keyboard commandos! The war-effort needs you! Surge on!

Uh oh, the rednecks are talking civil war again. They dream of making America into one big, glorious trailer park with Nascar races every day. Good luck with that.

Andrew, if we ever do have a civil war it will be short and sweet. Remember we have the guns we know how to use them and most of the Army likes our side better than yours. My favorite daydream involves Noam Chompskie (sp) and his fellow travelers bing put up in front of a wall and hearing the following words: Ready...Aim...

This an email about the Nevada US Attorney that got fired - it's the firing that Republican Senator John Ensign is mad about. Wonder why?
*******
I'm a little skittish about Bogden," McNulty wrote in a Dec. 7 e-mail to Sampson. "He has been with DOJ since 1990 and, at age 50, has never had a job outside government."
Still, McNulty concluded: "I'll admit have not looked at his district's performance. Sorry to be raising this again/now; it was just on my mind last night and this morning." [my emphasis]
Posted by: Jon G | Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 01:40 PM
Wow, southdakotaboy, that's not literally insane at all.
Get help.
You need it. You're not mentally healthy.
And Dan?
Not that you disagree, but do you really want your commentors helping Dave Neiwert prove you wrong?
Posted by: brad | Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 01:57 PM
Listen you Libs rant and rave about killing Bush and Cheny all the time, hell you even make movies about it. You get to call it free speech and if the right complains you just tell us to get over it. Did I say go out and kill those people? No, what I talked about was a kind of Monty Python type event as a daydream. We don't even use firing squads anymore.
This is just another example of the Lefts double standard. When they do it and we complain we get all these reasons why it is alright to do it. When we turn it back on you, all of a sudden the same reasons to allow the behavior aren't valid any more.
There was another good example of the earlier when voter fraud was being talked about.
Posted by: southdakotaboy | Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 02:35 PM
Jeez, southdakotaboy, you're a special kind of wuss, aren't ya?
Let me clue you in, there, dropout. This:
"My favorite daydream involves Noam Chompskie (sp) and his fellow travelers bing put up in front of a wall and hearing the following words: Ready...Aim..."
That's a threat against a real person. You didn't say some folks on the left, or some liberals, folks I have seen on TV. Then, you back pedal like a punk with:
"No, what I talked about was a kind of Monty Python type event as a daydream. We don't even use firing squads anymore."
Couldn't back up fast enough, could you? Let's try an excercise, shall we?
Link to even one call for the death of Cheney or Bush, from a reputable source on the left (someone of the "stature" of Coulter, or O'Reilly, or Limbaugh), as opposed to a random anonymous commenter, if you want to have this conversation. Or, maybe, you are just imitating Dan by pulling baseless assertions and half remembered factoids out of your ass.
Posted by: Officious pedant | Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 03:50 PM
Mr. Officious pedant, there is no such thing as a reputable source on the left, how is the guy going to be able to link to one? And it's not a threat for him to say he would like to hear such a thing. He's not advocating someone doing such a thing, or threatening to do it himself. Speaking of pulling baseless assertions and half-remembered factoids out of asses, you pulled that out of your ass, didn't you?
Posted by: templar knight | Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 04:50 PM
No need for a link, cause it wouldn't matter. I don't say shit like that, southdakotaboy. Cause it'd be wrong, nevermind the hypocrisy. Disagreeing with someone doesn't give you license to kill them.
The movie wasn't made by an American, so blow me. Some morons say things like you do, but that excuses neither you nor them.
Also, killing Bush or Cheney (note the spelling, plz) would make them martyrs, which would be counterproductive for my goals. I'd be more than happy with them in jail where they belong.
And, really, the best defense you can offer is to say "it's only a fantasy"? You mean it, but don't have the balls to do it? This is supposed to make it ok?
Posted by: brad | Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 05:11 PM
This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. The whole idea of a daydream is something that is unreal but slightly funny. The left always says this is fine when its one of their supporters saying it about someone one the right. Heaven help you if you turn it back around on them. Yeah, then all hell breaks loose. Everytime you open your mouthes you prove my point.
