Things have been tough for the military in Iraq, mostly because of political decisions, even if some may have been made by Generals, as well as Rumsfeld / Bush. America needs to eliminate its enemies in the following order:

1) Traitorous scum who breathe sedition and lend comfort and support to our enemies. This would mean the editors of the NY Times in particular, and others who profess an allegiance to the shadowy hands of the Caliphate who seek to destroy America (such as the CAIR - who should be criminalized for aiding and abetting terrorists)

2) The Sadrists and other quasi-militias seeking to ruin the stabilisation of Iraq. The only ROE for Iraq should be "lock and load, weapons free". Without regrets.

3) Within American borders, eliminate imams and radical muslims who agitate for Caliphate and against the US government, and against our Anglo-Saxon culture.

OK, and if that wasn't enough to bake your liberal noodles, then you'll REALLY love this idea:

Perhaps a government-authorized rewrite of the Koran is in order to sanitize it from all of the nastiness of 1300+ years of jihadism... I mean, it took the better part of 1500 years for "organized Christendom" to get its act together... but then again, neither the Reformers nor the Holy See, nor the Crowned heads of Europe whom they advised, had access to nuclear technology among other more conventional WMDs.

Unfortunately, such is the case with Islam which is badly in need of a reformation*. Sadly, we in the West simply cannot wait another 500-1000 years for an Islamic Murtin Luther or John Huss or Calvin or even a Thomas Acquinas to arise to the challenge. We will have to settle for re-writing the Koran as a more civilised document after we have smashed the resurgent Caliphate to dust.

And while we are at it, defund and decertify from 501(c)3 tax-exempt status all mosques, masjids, and "Islamic Community Centers" in the USA. They should pay the tax on all those Saudi oil fat-funds they receive, just like the dhimmis pay the Jizzya tax in Saudi Arabia. Also, allow no new Islamic buildings to be constructed, just like dhimmis cannot build new churches or synagogues.

After all, if the dhimmis in Allah-land have no rights, the least we can do is to return the courtesy to the Ummah within our borders.

Call us Crusaders/Templar Knights or whatever, but even with its faults, Anglo-Saxon/Western culture is by far superior to that of Mohammed (lice and fleas be upon him).

*Of course, my opinion is that following "Mission Accomplished" in 2003, we should have sent Pat Robertson at the head of an army of Fundamentalist evangelists to convert as many of the heathens to Christ as the Good Lord has called to salvation... but that would probably make the liberals wet themselves with anguish.

The -Saxon part of "Anglo-Saxon" is generally inclusive of Germans (The traditional Saxon homelands were in what is today the German Bundeslaender of Sachsen-Anhalt, and not to mention the plethora of modern German municipalities such as Hohensachsen, Luetzel-Sachsen, and much of Odinwald area - including Heidelberg and the Neckar-Rhein river basins).

As for Celtic -- I agree, Celts are no less white than other whites; but as a fractional Irish myself, I'll gladly acknowledge the contributions of the UK to helping Eire (Ireland) become an influential, if not successful nation state in the current era. Despite any disagreements over the Twenty-Six and Six, I think we might be able to agree that the Anglo-Saxon models of government and other civil institutions have had a much more far-reaching impact on Western Civilization than Rhaeto-Celtic models of governance.

Nevertheless, I would be remiss for not mentioning the fine Celtic traditions that help enshrine family as one of the foremost of our society's values.

@ Darth: From a practical standpoint, I must agree with you -- although I would like to think that if the wicked system of Islamic governance be removed, rather than destroying root and branch the people (Muslims) who are so easily agitated by it, those Muslims may begin to learn of another way to live.

This may be approached from two angles - with the "sword of the state" as is endorsed Biblically to uphold civil order, and to protect citizens from foreign aggression, and for the Christian, a sober consideration of how "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (of the flesh) but or mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds" (2 Corinthians 10:4)

If I walk in the flesh - which as a sinner I am given to doing on more occassion than I would care for - I can (and have) easily advocated nuclear hellfire for much of Allah-land... fortunately, that decision is not mine to make. In a way, I am thankful for that, because committing to a decision that would destroy as many as 100 million lives in the course of an hour would be a terrible thing to be accluntable for, were it ultimately the wrong thing to do.

Admittedly, for the 1% of the big picture I think I can see, there is a ton that I do not, and better men than I can see it and act, and later they will give an account to thier Creator and mine.

However, Christ left room for Caesar (speaking particularly of the ancient Imperator Romanus, but also interpretively of all legal civil rule) to act with diligence to provide security for his people. If Caesar (or following the modern day extension - the US Government) fails to act in a diligent manner to provide a secure realm for its citizenry, then that Caesar shall also render an account before God on the Judgment Day.

The flip side of this is this: we have been compelled to go to war (and the moonbat colony Dan has growing here will refuse to see it in these terms, being much more willing to yield American sovereignty and to hate our great nation and Western Civilization with a passion matched only by the crazed mullahs in Tehran).

In defense of our civilization, much more our nation, it is only logical to me as one who has fought in a war, to employ every means as is available to:

- destroying enemy morale
- destroying or capturing enemy assets
- destroying or reducing enemy infrastructure
- and if need be, enemy population reduction insofar as it impacts on achieving the previous three conditions.

We are no strangers to being faced with such a horrible decision to make; but in the end, it was better that Dresden suffer its reduction to rubble and starvation than to see all of Europe (and possibly much more) plunged under the darkness and the jackbooted heels of Nazism for sevarl generations or more.

It was better that Hiroshima and Nagasaki offered up thier hundreds of thousands to prevent a truly horrific bloodletting on the order of millions of Japanese and American casualties that would have been _Operation_Downfall_ : the Allied invasion plans for Japan in 1946.

In today's case, we must be very careful to identify our targets. Is it Islam? Or state sponsors of terrorism? The GWOT remains armed against the somewhat nebulous term "terrorism".

One man's terrorist is another man's "Freedom Fighter" or "Holy Warrior" (mujhadeen). Instead, we need to clearly define our opponent (Islam in general, and the mullahcrats and half-baked sheikhs who rabble-rouse Muslim youths to acts of terror). On the domestic front, enemy propaganda and resident enemy aliens must be silenced, and enemy sympathists closely monitored. The MSM should likewise be monitored and encouraged to produce positive propaganda to motivate the populace in support of the war effort, i.e. reduced consumption of oil and gas, unnecessary travel, etc.

The problem I see stems from the pervasiveness of an evil doctrine that is opposed to any peace except the sacrifice of Hebrew and Christian lives before the altars of Allah.

Let us neither deceive ourselves, nor be deceived by the MSM or claims by CAIR that there is such a thing as "moderate Islam"; the only difference is that the "moderates" are not obeying the Koran as fully as the "extremists" are, or they are playing ignorant (al-Taqqiya, or dissimulation) of evil gems like Surah 9:3-5 and Haddiths that preach enmity against unbelievers (kufaar) or the non-Islamic world (Dar-al-Harb).

Allah, and his prophet, are nothing more than a particularly disgusting and outrageous set of "antichrists" who seek to steal God's glory and replace God with themselves as the center of human worship. Needless to say, they are doing a frighteningly good job of it.

In this, Islam is unique among the many religions of man - while most religions seek to construct a path to either knowing God or becoming gods, Islam seeks to make everything "submit" to Allah. Whether they want to, or not. The Koran says that there is "no compulsion in religion", but that is conveniently obfuscated and backpeddled by the Haddiths and other Koranic verses such as Surah 9:3 which commands Muslims to "announce painful punishments to those who disbelieve"... or this little gem:

"And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah" (Surah 8:39)

The root of Islam is forced conversion (dawaah) or murder; submission, or dhmmitude. And lies (Al-Taqqiya) and dissimulation all the way around. Surely this points to the work of Satan - the father of lies (John 8:44) - of whom Jesus said:

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10, KJV)

Abundant Life... now that's a change in pace from the "sword of Islam".
