Yeah, it's really sweet of them to go all the way out into those crazy Middle Eastern countries where they toil for ages on end to bring us the lubricant to our economy. And for what? A measly $40 billion a year in profits? A scant $400 million retirement package? When gas prices are as low as $2/gallon? You know it's true, LOL. There are a litany of unpopular laws being proposed by the Leftists in Congress as we speak. Gun control, abortion laws, new taxes, more regulations, and need I continue. The Global Warming initiative is likely to use most if not all the goodwill of the American people.

Regardless of what you think, it's the money, stupid. Most Americans will be 100% behind any global warming proposals so long as they don't cost them any money. When money starts coming out of their pocketbooks, and they have to give up the cars and trucks they have always driven, and gasoline prices start to go up due to taxes, the global warming laws will fade away as fast as George Bush's Social Security proposals.

I've seen how the political process works in the US. If one side or the other gets too far to the Left or Right, they will be cut off. Just like what happened in the last election. How does someone argue with another who actually believes that $2 a gallon for gas is expensive? The intellectual vacancy of the left is stunning. Just wanted to comment on a few things.

The President doesnt have to congressional permission to go to war with anyone. According to the constitution the Commander in Chief has the right to wage war upon any threat for 30 days before the congress can step in and cut the funding. We have been at war for 3 years and they havent done the one thing that could stop the war "cut the funding" But then again....doing so would be a repeat of Vietnam. It's not actually vietnam yet but you cut the funding and it will be.
