The Black Value System - in pdf it has many prudent ideas for anyone - and that's my issue with it. It isn't for everyone - but for Blacks. How seperatist can you get?

Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness”
Classic methodology on control of captives teaches that captors must keep the captive ignorant educationally, but trained sufficiently well to serve the system. Also, the captors must be able to identify the “talented tenth” of those subjugated, especially those who show promise of providing the kind of leadership that might threaten the captor’s control.

Those so identified as separated from the rest of the people by:
Killing them off directly, and/or fostering a social system that encourages them to kill off one another.

Placing them in concentration camps, and/or structuring an economic environment that induces captive youth to fill the jails and prisons.

Seducing them into a socioeconomic class system which while training them to earn more dollars, hypnotizes them into believing they are better than others and teaches them to think in terms of “we” and “they” instead of “us”.

So, while it is permissible to chase “middle-incomeness” with all our might, we must avoid the third separation method-the psychological entrapment of Black
“middleclassness”: If we avoid the snare, we will also diminish our “voluntary”
contributions to methods A and B. And more importantly, Black people no longer will be deprived of their birthright, the leadership, resourcefulness, and example of their own talented persons.

What the hell is this guy doing running for President of the US if this is his church?

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.

Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:

Commitment to God
Commitment to the Black Community
Commitment to the Black Family
Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
Disavowal of the Pursuit of "Middleclassness"
Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System
Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.

Thing is if you read this stuff closely it's about a community taking responsibility for the other members of it's community and being better people by pulling themselves up by their bootstraps. No where does it make any effort to denegrate any other race or religion. If these guys were republican you'd be having them give speeches at the RNC Convention.

I know fully well what they are talking about Dan, would you deny that there's some truth to it? What about recent history that shows how white companies advertise their products in predominantly black communities? What about standardized tests used for college admittance that are slanted towards whites and those with greater wealth? Dan just because admitting inequality exists makes you feel all weird and uncomfortable doesn't mean it's not real.

The fact is, every system has economic inequalities. Capitalism much less so than soicalism and marxism, as neither allows any real room for upward mobility. And what's wrong with companies, why you call them white is unworthy of discussion today, marketing their products and services in black communities? Should they deprive them of the same market choices as have white people?

What you fail to acknowledge, as most all liberals do, is just how many black people have left poverty and urban blight behind by advancing through our capitalist system.

I was referring to specific companies and HOW they market specific products to certain communites, ie alcohol and cigarette companies to be specific.

And actually having lived in some of these communities I have seen it first hand. As for some minorities advanving, you are correct but if you read closer they actually address that in the post you have shown. Now here's the question, are you personally responsible for everything ever said or published by every group you have been a part of in your life?

When james brown said "im black and proud" was he being racist? no. wingnuts will never get this, but minorities taking pride in their race and trying to advance a disadvantaged racial group is not the same as the Klan trying to pin down a disadvantaged group.

Racism is everywhere and in every race. The misfortune is that is exists at all. It doesn't matter what race you are you can be affected by it and being a white woman I have felt it's affects. I will not support, endorse or vote for a person who does not see the problems with the doctorines of this black supremist chuch. I can tell you that if I as a white women decided to support white supremacy I would be crucified as a racist. Let me further add that the two biggest racist organizations in this country are the NAACP and the KKK. I see no difference in the two and if that makes me a racist I will take gladly take the label. Just as Obama should take the lable, by supporting and attending this church that is exactly what he is. Shame on anyone who helps put him and racist values in the white house.
