According to the Washington Post, the latest poll shows a decided shift among Black voters to Barack Obama and away from Hillary Clinton. If it continues and holds, she may not be able to beat Obama in the primaries.
If she does manage to beat him she can say hello to her new VP. And that is not going to help her throughout traditionally red states, as Obama is more Left than she. It's unclear if she'll be able to retain any significant popularity throughout the South on her own, as she packed her carpetbag for New York after leaving the White House.
The opening stages of the campaign for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination have produced a noticeable shift in sentiment among African American voters, who little more than a month ago heavily supported Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton but now favor the candidacy of Sen. Barack Obama.
Clinton, of New York, continues to lead Obama and other rivals in the Democratic contest, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll. But her once-sizable margin over the freshman senator from Illinois was sliced in half during the past month largely because of Obama's growing support among black voters.

Obama has a better chance than Hillary. Anyone want to bet she'll refuse a VP position?

"And that is not going to help her throughout traditionally red states"
*snort* Yeah, like anyone gives a flip about the Red States. The Mountain West is purple-leaning-blue. Once Nevada, Colorado, and Arizona fall, with the Midwest states of Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio coming down like a stack of bricks shortly after, no one will give two flips about the Deep South.
But keep hoping.

Hillary and Obama.
Neither one has a snowballs chance in the sunny southland.
