This may be the closest a secular progressive feminist ever comes to having a religious experience!
All people claiming to be good Christians who agitated for me to be fired, one question:
Who would Jesus witchhunt(sic)?
Think hard before answering, assholes.
Hoisted on her own petard, or something like that. But at least she's going down with her usual style.
And too many to mention via Memeorandum.

The cream always rises to the top...but then again, shit floats.
Whatever ;->

Hey Riehl, tell us again how George Allen won the Virginia Senate race in the 2006 election. Even funnier: Malkin broadcast your “call” on Fox News. Dumbest. Blogger. Ever.

Why are you here Jackson? Been banned off all the lefty blogs and Dan is the only one who will tolerate your presence?

That nasty little Pinay and Dan are made for each other. Macaca Wins!! Hahhaa.

BobInStamford = CarlSpackler = Artie = SockPuppets Galore!
Don't mind the troll(s)... they are like broken records, rarely coming up with anything new.
As for Asp-Mouth Amanda... I don't think Jesus witch-hunted. But He does command his followers to resist evil. And going off of some of the literary vomit she has horked up in recent months against Christians, I'd say that she probably got what she deserved, and nothing more.
She has been revealed for what she is - a foul mouthed, angry young hack of questionable journalistic talent with an agenda against anyone suggesting her radical ideas are just a wee little bit off in left field.

This whole episode was too short and very unsatifying. No wonder Marcotte is so uptight.

"Little bit off in Left field". Ha Ha...Seek made a funny :)
Seriously though...I am glad to see that vitriolic, acid-spitting, moron finally being thrown under the bus for the insane rhetoric that seems to spew forth from her mouth like locusts upon a field.
Yes, I am sure even my words seem a little bit harsh but she got exactly what she deserved.

What a waste of sweet, sweet comedy potential. Now she's just another hate filled moonbat.
Pity, that.

"But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also."
-Matthew 5:39
Posted by: Jesus | Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 09:10 AM
To the "W3bgrrl" posting as "Jesus":
You would do well to look at the context of those verses you are slinging about, for you seem to be lacking in "showing thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15).
Matthew 5:39 talks about people (Chrstians) are to deal with persecution for thier faith in the vein of not dealing evil for evil.
What I am talking about here is not revanchism - which we can agree is not a fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23), but rather "exposing the deeds of darkness" as it is written in Ephesians 5:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
(quoted from King James Version)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Much of what "Asp-Mouth" (Romans 3:13) Amanda speaks - and the tone with which she speaks is an abomination, a vile torrent of foul words that her demons probably thrive upon.
Things not meant to be repeated, but rather exposed for the wretchedness that it is.
Christians are not to resist our own persecution for sake of personal pride, but we are called to shine the light of God's word on ungodliness through our testimony and obedience to Him. In this, we may resist evil, and certain "resist the devil, for he will flee from us" (James 4:6-8), if done in Jesus's name.

Breaking spews: This just off the wires. Edwards has confessed to making an error in judgment by hiring Marc. He states: "I wish to demonstrate that I am not just your average mansion-owning jerk. I can learn through experience. I have decided to hire one from the blogging world who represents the finest traditions of moderate, logical and courteous journalism. I have decided to hire Kos." Nah. But it could happen.

Well, frankly, I'm disappointed by the whole episode. The gal had potential, I tell you, potential to showcase to America how these nitwits on the Left really think.

When the left makes a mistake in this regard they own up to it, when the right makes the same mistake they promote it.

seek - I will prayerfully meditate on your advice. I claim only to be a disciple of Christ and not an apostle.
I cannot say that I even knew of Marcotte before she was hired by Edwards' campaign and her words appeared on sites I choose to read. I was happy for those sites to shine light on her words. That she feared this light is sufficient proof that she herself does not have much faith in what she says.
I posted the verse from the Sermon on the Mount because you said we are to resist evil. If Marcotte is a persecutor of Christians, then we are certainly not to resist her out of our own pride. We agree on this. Perhaps we disagree on what "resistance" is.
I do not support John Edwards as president for many, many, many reasons. That being said, I support John Edwards hiring an army of Amanda Marcottes. I didn't know she existed until he had given her a job on his campaign. I also support the writings of these Marcottes-to-be having their presently obscure works aired in the sunlight for all to see. How does seeking to have her fired or gleefully snickering at her resignation assist in the cause of shedding light on darkness?

The Dems hate Christ there is no doubt unless he is portrayed as a socialist.
Posted by: Darth Malice | Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 11:42 AM
Although not privy to her writings I had heard of Marcotte before she got hired to Edwards. While w3 and Seek both make a good point I will have to agree that it is a GOOD thing that Marcotte was removed or resigned or whatever.
Jesus said we need to shed the light upon the darkness for the world to see, but he also threw out all of the merchants who turned the temple in to a market and defiled it. He threw them out BY FORCE. Even Jesus had his breaking point and while he was probably very calm and took the non-violent approach in his words even He displayed that sometimes the wretched need to be removed by force.
Yes, Marcotte is one of these wretched I speak of. This isn't a label that was forced on her either...she made that flag and waved it herself.

Kite -
I understand what you're saying, and I hope you will take this in the spirit of humor in which it is offered: John Edwards' campaign is no temple.
Point taken if you're referring to the political process as a temple, however.
;-)

Jesus said "Be angry, and sin not".
This is a crucial test, which I am afraid I find myself failing at times. One of those drawbacks of lugging around this fleshly carcass until the Lord calls me home, is its willingness to indulge itself.
I'd be dishonest if I didn't admit to a small amount of schadenfreude... however, if the result of her works being held to account is her dismissal, I am not saddened any; and as Templar Knight observed, had she been left on to do more damage to Edwards's campaign, I would not have shed many tears either, as more people would begin to see exactly what sort of agenda(s) Edwards would be willing to promote.
As for when should a Christian use force in his dealings or not... this is a good topic for discussion, some blog fodder I'll add on my list of stuff to chew on.
Thanks for the ideas. :)

More golden tolerance, and peaceful rhetoric from the very "civil" and un "foul-mouthed" Bill "Godbag" Dono-whore:
http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/02/13/the-daily-donohue-3/
DONOHUE: Look, just hold on here. You had your time. Look, the kid's a phony and here's why. I dealt with him earlier today on an MSNBC show, and I said we could hypothesize that there'd be a Columbia University ping-pong team made of Asians, and somebody goes out there and says "All gooks go home." So I — I asked him about my gook joke. And guess what? Andy's — Andy's sense of humor just collapsed. He found that offensive. You see what you are? You're a phony. You're a typical Ivy League little brat who thinks it's OK to dump on Catholics, but you don't like my gook joke. Now, what's wrong with a gook joke?
Remind me why we're supposed to take criticism from this puke seriously.

Would you have liked it if the hypothetical team was from Baylor and the protestor said, "All Godbags go home!"? C'mon. Be honest.

Of course he would. Libs love to indulge double standards just like anyone else, but perhaps especially so when attempting to pointing out the faults of social conservatives and others who wish to see Jesus Christ exalted as God in this world.
Legalize must be smoking some of his stock again... and digging up the dirt from 2003, I see. You libs aren't very current, are ye? Not that this isn't entirely non-relevant... but it would be nice if y'all didn't try to pass off ancient news as something that happened just hours or days ago (or somehow imply that you have found something new, at any rate).
The link you provided at http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/02/13/the-daily-donohue-3/ referenced this report from almost 3.5 years ago:
http://media.www.columbiaspectator.com/media/storage/paper865/news/2003/09/19/FootballPreview2003/Cumb-Is.Going.Down.To.Fordham.But.Not.In.Uniform-2036277.shtml?sourcedomain=www.columbiaspectator.com&MIIHost=media.collegepublisher.com
Old news.
Nothing new from your favorite whipping post, eh?
But for what it is worth... free speech is one of our central constitutional institutions. Like a great many things that are abused though, it behooves the speaker to be considerate of his or her audience, and not foolishly cast humour around like so many firebrands.
The sad thing is that convenient double standard, which the ultra-left wing "journalist" Phl Donahue massaged to safely ensconce Andy Hao away from any charge of religious bigotry, when Bill Donohue rightly compared it to the same routine if he had insulted Hao's race with a "gook" joke.
Because everyone knows that minorities, by virtue of being hyphenated and/or different skin tones than that of a northern European male, automatically receive immunity to make whatever bigoted comments they like free from all accountability.
After all, those whitey patriarchy-loving meat-eating "godbags" were so mean to everyone else for so long, right?
