Dan, you're one photogenic sonofabitch. Nice job!

Heterosexually yours,

Gordon

Very well done, Dan. You got the tone just right.

Very good job, Dan. I don't think I'd seen Stark in action before, and you expressed my reaction precisely "one minute he pronounces himself as reasonable along with Kurtz, then I bust him for his childish Hannity and Colmes stunt." I was a bit shocked that he repeated the complete vulgarity on-air. In any case, it was great to see a fellow NewsBusters clearly get the upper hand. Good work. Kudos too to Howard Kurtz for a job well done.

Great job Dan. You do look good on TV...err...ditto on what Gordon said though ;)

Pretty good. However someone should have brought up Air America, and the Randi Rhodes gunshot thing.

The guy is a slimeball and its only a matter of time before he finds himself in jail for one of his loony stunts, I believe he's so far gone he could actually do violence on someone in the pursuit of his agenda (he has already gotten into some scrapes)

however one thing "a guy who looks like he beats off"?
come on mate, let's be honest here, that describes anyone who looks male :P

Maybe its out of line, but I think an Ace-style "fun facts about Mike Stark" thread might be in order here.

Like...Mike Stark is the owner of an equine bondage leather shop.

mike stark is an creepy little man.

Mike Stark thinks chocolate covered rabbit turds are a delicacy

Mike stark keeps track of his carbon footprint in a little booklet in his purse and puts pennies in a jar when he farts.

Congratulations, Mike, you managed to string words together on television without tripping over the prepositions. But that's as far as it went--when you got nothin', you got nothin'. Most of your bits were limited to variation on 'that's right' and rendering legal opinions beyond your pay-grade. You clearly weren't prepared, except for you handbags-at-six-paces thing about the Hannity sign. Intellectual laziness, what a shock from the likes a' you. So while you were gasping for air and losing your train of thought, Stark had example after example of right-wing elimination rhetoric along with a take that Howie genuinely didn't expect: the simple truth that people on the left are all for the First Amendment. More people need to hear the slime you and your right-wing goofballs giggle over in your little sewing circles. The more people who hear it, the more you suffer massive election losses. So, please, work on some basic literacy so that your blog can realize its full potential as a millstone around the necks of your politicians.

"Congratulations, Mike, you managed to string words together on television without tripping over the prepositions. But that's as far as it went--when you got nothin', you got nothin'."

And this from a "prog." no less! Way to go, Dan! You pwned him!

Cordially...

And the typical right wing smear machine jumps into action, attempting to make this about Mike Stark and "free speech". I am sure somebody at some point will point out exactly whose speech is being muzzled, but I am not holding my breath.

Meanwhile, back in the real world as KSFO, the hate speech rolls on.

Minus a few major advertisers, of course.

That Randi Rhodes is some trail-blazer, fer sure.

There is free speech to protect--especially (non-insurrectionary) political speech--but we wingnuts shouldn't get in the habit of mimicking our lessers.

Now, Barack Obama-is-a-poopyhead commentary is another matter.

Cordially...

"Congratulations, Mike"

Ummm, his name is Dan. Shows how much you pay attention I guess ;->

"I am sure somebody at some point will point out exactly whose speech is being muzzled"

Curiously, not yours it would seem. The right wing death squads must have overlooked you somehow.

Need some Steven Segal movie title riffs for Stan.

I didn't even know you were famous... just admired the blog.

Great job Dan!

The day the Left starts calling speech like Imus' skit on hanging Dick Cheney "hate speech" is the day that they can be considered serious about changing the tone of debate. However, they will surely use the Stalinist philosophy of simply banning anything they disagree with.

Wait...that's what they want to do now.

I anyone surprised by the coincidence of the Democrats attempt to reintroduce the Fairness Doctrine and (T)Hugo Chavez’ announcement that he is going to pull the plug on a station that opposes him. Socialist Birds of a feather.

Umm - were you watching the same show I saw? Stark kicked your ass - and that's with Kurtz, the closet rightwingnut, protecting you.

"Stark kicked your ass"

Bill,

There is no point in engaging in a pissing contest with the dickless. Go play somewhere else.

Stark is little more than a circus act and perhaps the poorest choice as a spokesman for civility in political debate.

Quilly: However, they will surely use the Stalinist philosophy of simply banning anything they disagree with.

Or shutting down their blog? How about threatening them with a lawsuit on frivolous copyright issues?

Oh, that's right...that is what Disney and KSFO are doing to Spocko.

Never mind.

"Congratulations, Mike"

Ummm, his name is Dan. Shows how much you pay attention I guess ;->

ha ha ha.. PA, I thought I was in the twilight zone reading that comment. I kept reading it wondering if I'd imbibed too much dark chocolate or something....

Ummm... I feel sort of funny on this brokeback thread here. Too much testosterone for this honey.

ha! I can say you looked hot, Dan, and not have to qualify it. :}

I'm just glad I was remote and these are only blog comments from the Lefties. I'd probably never be able to get the foam off of my jacket. Funny how the rabid Left always seems to be left drooling in the end. I still haven't figured out how Mike got from a radio comment on Indonesia from that guy Ted to it causing Bush to say Democrats don't support the war on terror. Looked like he got his notes mixed up and didn't have a clue.

And a special thanks to old friends like Gordon, readers like PA, Phoenix and others for being so supportive. It's appreciated, for sure.

Shorter Dan: You three losers are the only friends I have.

Dan's brain said: Or shutting down their blog? How about threatening them with a lawsuit on frivolous copyright issues?

Perhaps you missed the part Dan commented on "Fair Use"? Spocko used Fair Use imo and attempts to silnce him/her is repugnant. But there is a fair difference between going to court where you get your chance to defend yourself and being outright banned and shut down.

"...Spocko used Fair Use ***imo*** and attempts to silnce him/her is repugnant (ed.--also imo)..."

Others-----attorneys--had different opinions, it would seem. Hey, Disney's all anal about Mickey's image being used at Mom & Pop daycare centers w/o licensing agreements, so its aggressive defense should come as now suprize.

Cordially...

"are the only friends I have."

Better that than Dano McMano's only friend...who lives in the sock drawer.

Is that how to play?

Wow - your remarks (dan, gordon, and purple), crude and juvenile as they are and no doubt reminiscent of your high school years when you were the target of such jibes, caused me to check out the video of Kurtz's show again. Conclusion remains the same. Stark =1 and Riehl = 0.

I didn't think Mike did that well on Kurtz, who is always super righty-friendly anyway, but your characterization here that Mike assaulted anyone at that Allen event is ludicrous. Mike was tackled and had his head forcibly slammed into a plate glass wall. He hadn't even interrupted Allen's remarks at the event, but waited until Allen was leaving. Mike was a constituent. You may not like his message, or his tactics but he had every right to be at an Allen event in a public setting. I'm glad Mike wasn't injured in that attack, it looked as if he could have had a very serious concussion or a fractured neck, it was such a violent assault. He could have messed with Allen just by suing Allen and his goons right before he election -- did he?

Mike is a young guy and needs to learn to temper his message for best effect but that doesn't negate its accuracy. George Bush does fall back on denigrating Democrats as unpatriotic, doesn't he?

Dave you need to review the videotape. Mike cleaned your clock on the Hannity & Colmes stunt. Your assertion that he had no right to be there, at Lamont headquarters, made you look bush-league (no pun intended.) You should have checked out the facts before bringing that up. It cheapened your position to attack Mike personally. It was juvenile but NOWHERE near as despicable as the righties screaming outside the Gore's house 24/7 for weeks after the 2000 election.

I guess I missed the part where you made the impassioned plea for free-speech in support of the KSFO crowd. I didn't hear you disagree with any of their comments Kurtz broadcast today, either. If Spocko and Media Matters are distorting what KSFO broadcasters are saying, to their advertisers, why didn't you make those corrections on the Kurtz show?

Mike is that guy who was assaulted by Allen's SS? Wow - he helped in another service - he helped get rid of George Allen. Make that Stark=2 and Riehl = zero.

"Dave you need to review the videotape."

Who's Dave?

"Your assertion that he had no right to be there, at Lamont headquarters"

Actually I think the objection was to hijacking the broadcast with the sign. That was profoundly classless and tacky. Tacky, tacky, tacky. I'd be VERY interested in an official response from the Lamont camp indicating he approves of that sort of tactic...if indeed you think he does. I guess Mike doesn't respect the media's right to put out an unhacked broadcast eh?

That's OK. Really it is. Just gotta let everyone know what the rules of the game are so there will be NO OBJECTIONS when the sword cuts the other way. Level playing field, fairs fair, and all that...

You DO realize this is a double edged sword...right?

Wow - your remarks (dan, gordon, and purple), crude and juvenile as they are and no doubt reminiscent of your high school years

Sorry Bill, they actually reminded me of your site. Nice of you to pretend you're above it all. But you've got nothing. Why don't you view the video again and reach the same conclusion. It will appear that you can think.

How Mike Stark was considered credible enough to appear on Kurtz's show is a mystery.

Is that how to play?

Phoenix,

There was a game at Ace's http://ace.mu.nu/archives/212735.php to name new Steven Segal movies.

"And this from a "prog." no less! Way to go, Dan! You pwned him!"

Another day, another confused progg.

Nicely done, Dan. Don't forget to put the check request into Rove's office for "closet rightwingnut" Kurtz. Long live the VRWC!

If you say so, Gordon. How long have you been attending the Peewee Herman School of Debate? Better question, what elective classes are you taking?

Here's the edited comment, one word changed. Sloppy me!

Congratulations, Dan, you managed to string words together on television without tripping over the prepositions. But that's as far as it went--when you got nothin', you got nothin'. Most of your bits were limited to variation on 'that's right' and rendering legal opinions beyond your pay-grade. Dan: Well I tuned it and saw you and the other guy. You did very well. I think the other guy really bombed when his actions on holding up a sign on Fox news was revealed. Howard Kurtz by the way is the best thing on CNN and in the Washington Post. Not only is he the BEST media critic around anywhere he is a nice guy who is fair and always gets it right. Hard to believe he works for the Washington Post but he does. I have the utmost respect for Howard Kurtz. He really is fair and balanced. I am sorry I cant say that for Fox news or CBS or NBC or ABC or MSNBC.

"Stark kicked your ass - and that's with Kurtz, the closet rightwingnut, protecting you. "

Trust me Chuckles, I'm not debating you. This is just too powerful for me to refute.

"Trust me Chuckles, I'm not debating you."

That's funny, gordo - I certainly recognize you're not debating me. You appear to be trying, - butwho can tell - so far you come in as a D- student at Peewee's Playhouse with all that that entails. Keep trying though - maybe you'll improve.

Jesus. I just saw the video. Sparks is an even bigger douchebag than I had previously thought.

Right up there with the new pet troll/Sparks' fluffer, Bill Adkins.
/eyeroll

Well done, Dan.

Now, see? Here I am, cordial and mannered and well informed, and you guys start flinging epithets and name-calling. I've even provided constructive criticism for Gordo as to his obvious lack in debating skills. This is what I've seen as consistent behavior from the right wing sites. Eventually, when unable to deal with the education I provide, they ban me from their blog. Ankle Biting Pundit and Red State and Polipundit couldn't handle it. How about you?
