Wow, what poor logic. Clearly, these guys never got past high school. Simply because America no longer wants to pay for GW's failed Iraq adventure, doesnt mean that we blame the soldiers. Geez...

Why do you think the fact that these soldiers have drank the right wing Koolaid and easily spew right wing talking points validates anything? But keep feeding at that trough, at least you will always be good for entertainment value.
Posted by: Rob Kaufman | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 11:06 AM
Wally, you are one of the reasons Dems/liberals are unfit to lead the military.
Posted by: Darth Malice | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 11:11 AM
And you Darth are the reason they invented velcro lacing for shoes.
Posted by: Rob Kaufman | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 11:14 AM
Unfit? To do what? Lose a war to a ragtag militia without plumbing? Don't be surprised that you guys are irrelevant.
Posted by: Wally | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 11:14 AM
I just stuck 20 more yellow ribbons on my Excursion. Let's see what you pinko commie libs have to say about that!! NEVER FORGET!

Rob,
Let me correct this for you. "..have drank.." should be "have drunk".
"..the right wing Koolaid.." should be "the right-wing Kool Aid". "..right wing talking points.." should be "right-wing talking points". And your last sentence is a run-on.
Grade: F

ROFLMAOBMGRMS, maybe the day you learn the difference between a noun and an adjective Phoenix the adults will allow you to critigue them, until then please go play with your crayons in the corner.
Posted by: Rob Kaufman | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 12:02 PM
Oh, and before Phoenix gets her boxers in a bunch, critigue= critique
Posted by: Rob Kaufman | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 12:06 PM
PS the hyphen you want to put in right wing is not necessary, but I should have put a hyphen in Kool-Aid to be precise
Posted by: Rob Kaufman | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 12:08 PM
Rob,
You are correct about the Kool-Aid. But you are wrong about the rest. You didn't thank me. I wouldn't correct an obvious typo, so don't worry about that.
And do you really find this all funny enough to lose your spleen and whatever else you cough up in laughter? Doesn't take much to amuse you. Want some of my crayons? We kin draw pichurs of Dubyah.
Posted by: Phoenix | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 12:22 PM
No thank you Phoenix, but it is nice to see that you givem up the pretense of not being petty but have embraced it wholeheartedly. As for the rest of your rant please take offense if I do not share your view. Yes I do find you right wingers very entertaining.
Posted by: Rob Kaufman | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 12:26 PM
givem=given, I don't want Phoenix to get those boxers bunched again.
Posted by: Rob Kaufman | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 12:28 PM
Embrace the Suck.

Actually the last sentence wasn't a run-on it was a comma splice.
"Let me correct this for you" should be followed by a colon not a period and there is no reason to hyphenate "right wing". We can play this game all day.
Posted by: TheSpartan | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 12:53 PM
Oh, and you should always use three elipses not two.
Posted by: TheSpartan | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 12:54 PM
"Oh, and you should always use three elipses not two."
I think you mean "ellipses." However, three ellipses would be ... ... ... which is clearly unnecessary.
Posted by: scarshapedstar | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 12:59 PM
You are correct Scar. I should have said "you should use three periods to form ellipses, not two."

Dan, you should get rid of comments in your blog. The left-wing retardation is almost palpable.
Posted by: madne0 | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 01:47 PM
If we couldn't laugh at you sad, 28% losers, who would read this drivel??
Posted by: Wally | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 02:09 PM
I have a notion that Wally, Legalize and Carl Spackler are all sock puppets of the same leftard troll... always with the "28% irrelevant losers" line.
That aside... "Die Dolchstoß ist gekommt!"
What is really sad is that leftards like these folks will be the first in line at the airports to greet our returning soldiers with a handshake, a wad of spit in the face, and a knife in the back. And a certain devilish sneer as they lay out the welcoming mat for our would-be Conquering Heroes of Islam™ following the 2008 elections.
As if worrying about the Dhimmicrats in the Donkey Kongress stabbing our troops in the back wasn't bad enough.
Posted by: seekeronos | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 02:26 PM
You sheep are fixated on your lost Iraq adventure and the soldiers that fought it. No one is going to spit on the troops - America is just sick of paying billions for a lost war. You 28%ers are pathetic. Go put another 'Made in China' Yellow Ribbon magnet on your car.
Posted by: Wally | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 02:36 PM
Are these comments a joke? 28%ers? How is this supposed to stick it to Dan the Man. Please, try insulting us with an actual insult, not something you heard in the hallowed halls of Kos High. I give it a 1.2, the rating of a sub par effort.
The left hates the troops, and it is now starting to trickle out into the mainstream. Why lie about it? Of course, since the troops have been to war and are in Iraq, they have absolute moral authority to speak about it, according to the Chicken hawk logic of the left. How dare the left question them? You have to go to Iraq before you can question them or opine on the war. Sorry, you left your flank exposed when spouting all this chicken hawk nonsense. The firing will commence in 5, 4, 3...
Posted by: Stormy70 | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 03:08 PM
So the troops should be dictating policy?? You must be joking. Remember, 90% of these guys think we invaded Iraq in retaliation for 9/11.

Sadly, people die for your failures - otherwise it would be infinitely more fun laughing at you right-wing losers.

Poor poor seekeronos, you swallow that right wing propaganda so well. Maybe you should read this article that debunks the whole Vietnam vet spitting urban legend.
http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2005/04/30/debunking_a_spitting_image/
Please keep drinking that right wing Kool-aid, it must be quite tasty since so many of you drink it down so easily.
Posted by: Rob Kaufman | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 03:31 PM
Cons love their quaint little legends. It justifies their stupidity.

"Dan, you should get rid of comments in your blog. The left-wing retardation is almost palpable."
Well, I could. But then I wouldn't be able to watch that video above, then read the Lib comments down here and be reminded of how worthless most of today's Libs are. It'll make it easier to justify when Bush opens up the camps for this human waste. ; )

Dan,
Some of your port-side guests here have accomplished what I thought was an impossible task: make Mother Cindy Sheehan appear bright, thoughtful and articulate by comparison.
You, sir, are impresario of a web miracle.
Cordially...

Rob, Spartan,
Each one of your so-called corrections to mine have errors.
But it doesn't matter. You horrible people have won all the way around. Dan may enjoy you, but I don't, and I will go the way of most of his former loyal readers.
Give yourselves a big high-five for beating another right-wing asshole down.
AMF...

It is nice to see that you can dish it out but can't take return fire Phoenix. Would you like some cheese with that whine of yours? Have a nice life.

High-five Rob!

Ditto to you too Spartan but I wonder why scarshapedstar didn't get the credit he deserved along with us.

I've only been visiting this romper room for a few days, having been pointed here by some blogs that have actual content.* In the brief time that I've been here, phoenix, I've seen you make maybe TWO comments whose contents were anything other than variations on the standard "liberals are terrible and crude people -- that's why a refined person like me hates their gay sodomite guts".** And in those comments in which you actually included some content, you were wrong. (Remember the Great Noun-Adjective Clarification of 2007, "editor"?)
I suppose Hive Sub-Commander Riehl has to mourn the loss of another member of the collective. My impression from these last few days is that most of Riehl's audience consists of people like me, who laugh at him.
* Those high quality sites pointed here as an example of a clown show in action. How right they were.
** You're practically always a lot more gutter-level than what I put here. Doesn't bother me -- I laugh at you -- but it makes it a little hard to swallow your "O! The incivility!! Woe is me!!!" schtick.
Anyway -- ciao, baby!

No spitting, *sswipes? From your own propaganda organ, The New York Slimes:

And you might want to remember something: The oath soldiers take says against all enemies foreign and domestic. Hint: most military don't vote DemoRAT.

My, what a little hatemonger you are SDN, you must be so proud. I was speaking about the claims that Vietnam War vets were spit at. But even your own so-called evidence said that they spat at the ground near his feet, not that they spat at him. But I must thank you for showing the depths that those on the right will use to defend this debacle. Have a nice day though, you need all the help you can get.

Isn't there some question as to the truthfulness of Sparlings accusation? He's been at the center of many of these types of incidents.
Posted by: TheSpartan | Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 11:24 PM
Yeah, wow, SDN, that's a mighty damning article. Just read THESE atrocities:
=========================
“I’ve got a son who just got out of the military and another still in,” said Jackie Smith, 65, from Sunapee, N.H., whose sign read “Bush Bin Lyin.” “And I’m here because this is all I can do to try to help them.”
Tassi McKee, from Bastrop, La., who said she was a staff sergeant in the Air Force, was among a small contingent of about 20 active-duty service members who turned out. “I believe this has become a civil war, and we are being hurt and making matters worse by staying in the middle of it,” Sergeant McKee said.
She said that it was not illegal for active-duty members to attend protests but that it was strongly discouraged.
Veterans were more numerous among the crowd.
Dressed in the olive green, military-issued flight jacket that he said he wore during the invasion of Iraq while serving as a Marine sergeant, Jack Teller, 26, said he joined a caravan from Greenville, N.C., because he felt that it was his duty.
“I don’t like wearing the jacket because it reminds me that I participated in an immoral and illegal war,” said Mr. Teller, who had “Iraq Veterans Against the War” stenciled on the back of his jacket. “But it’s important to make a political statement.”
Fernando Braga, a 24-year-old Bronx native who is a member of the Army National Guard, said that he was skeptical of the war before it started. Mr. Braga said his views hardened into opposition while he served in Iraq from March 2004 through January 2005.
“My own commander told us when we arrived that if we thought we were there for any reason other than oil then we had another think coming,” he said. “I realized even commanding officers were against it but following orders.”
=========================
Here's a little tip from Rhetoric 101, SDN -- if you want to introduce some evidence, try to make sure that it doesn't pull the rug out from under your own "argument".
Look, I'm not saying that every anti-war guy LOVES all the soldiers. I just think it's stupid to try to claim, as you do, that they HATE them.
By the way, you want to hear about the one time that I got hassled, as a vet, by a civilian? It was 1995, and it came at the hands of Newt fucking Gingrich. I was finishing my degree on the GI Bill, and that scumbag took time off from boning his aides to run his idiotic gummint shutdown gambit. Screwed up the VA payments for a month or two, and since they were a pretty important part of my budget at the time, I had a hard time making rent. I guess that was Newt's way of expressing the thanks of a grateful nation.
