With all the issues in the International world, we often end up spending all of our time nd effort halfway around the world. Eventually we're going to pay a price for that. And it isn't an R or a D problem, it's been going on for years.
On Saturday Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad kicks off a four day visit with the presidents of Venezuela, Ecuador and Nicaragua, who are being sworn in within days of each other after recent election victories -- and who are sworn enemies of free market policies. Rafael Correa, a supporter of Mr Chavez and his anti-Americanism, assumes the presidency of Ecuador on Monday. Ahmadinejad will also meet with Evo Morales, the left-wing President of Bolivia who took office a year ago.

Our southern flank needs reinforcements.

Okay, hemispheres. It's set(Congress, DEA and the other agencies)up based on this because of the communists in the old days. CIA Directors getting poisoned to take them out of operations. Old games. They poison immediately.
It's stories. No one really cares, but the hemisphere we're in is protected and Iran has made an error they cannot recover from; the US is always going to destroy Iran. The Pan Islamists can just die like the terrorist garbage.

If the dems succeed in forcing a defeat on us in Iraq, you can bet we'll be hearing from Hugo much sooner rather than later, just as Carter's weakness led directly to the Soviet adventuring in Afghanistan.
This is the way of the world when dealing with commies. Nuance == weakness to them.
Chavez has already annexed Bird Island from Dominica, and its my belief he ultimately has his eyes on Curacao.

@ Purple Avenger:
Curacao he can have, free of charge, on one condition: that he allows us (the Dutchmen who currently own the place) to ship back all criminal, welfare-sucking, antisocial Curacaoans who drifted this way in years past. And that he keeps them there. Those Curacaoans with a job and who contribute to society in one way or another are free to stay here in Holland, of course.
