Key General In Serious Accident

Oh man, just as Bush launches the surge there's this regarding a key General who was anticipated to play a leading role in the surge:

BRASILIA, Jan 10 (Reuters) - An Army General thought to be central to the planning of US President George Bush's proposed surge strategy to curtail violence in both Bagdad and Anbar Province in Iraq has been injured in what appears to be a freak accident during high level joint services meetings being held in Brazil.

The General was reported to have been engaged in high level talks with Brazilian fellow military officers when an electronic globe fell from its moorings during the passing of an unusually vigorous parade. Details of other injuries in what was said to be an extremely large and gregarious formation, sometimes referred to locally as a Conga Line, not yet available.
