Iran: Those Are Some Nuts!
I read this Guardian item earlier and was going to let it go. But Jules picked it up and decided to apply a little logic to the issues at hand, as well as have a little fun.
Ironically, it is this very international crisis that may serve to save Ahmadinejad’s presidency, a reality that the president undoubtedly understood all too well.
What amazes me is the lack of analysis from journalists who seem to dislike America, yet can't take their eyes off of it long enough to appreciate all that's going on. Current sanctions are weak and not likely to bring Ahmightneedajob down. But then, they don't have to - the Saudis are handling that for us.
Crude Oil Falls More Than A Buck On Hope For Higher OPEC Supply
Iraq in a mess, Afghanistan unresolved, terror troubles throughout the Middle-east and oil keeps going down? Now why do you think that is? Could it be because the Sunni Saudis don't want a Shi'ite Iran growing too strong? Don't believe me?
Read this: Oops, budget surplus gone. Now we know why Cheney called on his old friends the Saudis when things started heating up. It's that thing called diplomacy idiots like Kerry insist the US doesn't do enough. Heh!
"Saudi Arabia is trying to keep a lid on crude oil at $56 in order to keep pressure on Iran's oil income, and its government budget surplus, which is based on an average oil price of $44 per barrel," said Dorsch.
And "since Iranian crude oil sells for $7 per barrel less than U.S. light crude oil, the recent drop in world crude oil prices has wiped out most of Iran's budget surplus," he said.

Yeah, they're gonna crumble, just like the EU did in 2002 'cuz the Euro was all weak and stuff.

The EU isn't crumbling...they're burning it down.

Dick Cheney is now Ahmadinejad's best friend. How ironic is that?
