Depends on what the meaning of is is, I guess.
Some few in the comment section have tried to point out that the 'corruption' in politics has gone back to the founding of the Nation, and there has always been a level of that and personal recrimination in US politics. That is true and Mr. Sensing alludes to there being a difference in *kind* not *degree* in this today: we are seeing more than just 'more of the same' but a different formulation of it that is no longer rooted in American commonality.
