Boston Threat A Hoax
BOSTON (AP) -- At least seven suspicious devices planted near bridges and other spots around Boston forced the shutdown of major roads, a bridge and a stretch of the Charles River on Wednesday before authorities concluded the objects were not bombs.
"It's a hoax - and it's not funny," said Gov. Deval Patrick.
The exact nature of the objects was not disclosed. But authorities said some looked like circuit boards or had wires hanging from them.
The first device was found at a subway and bus station underneath Interstate 93, forcing the shutdown of the station and the highway.
Later, police said four calls, all around 1 p.m., reported devices at the Boston University Bridge and the Longfellow Bridge, both of which span the Charles River, at a Boston street corner and at the Tufts-New England Medical Center.
The package near the Boston University bridge was found attached to a structure beneath the span, authorities said.

It was just a Mooninite invasion. They do what they want, to whomever they want, at all times.

Well, now the real terrorists know how they can shutdown US transport systems by using the guts from old junk transistor radios.

Oops, not a hoax and ad campaign.

Mitt Romney was not scared during the entire ordeal. He knew that his holy underwear would protect him.

I didn't know that Scientologists wear holy underwear. Is it to ward off the space aliens? Someone should ask Romney.

One has to wonder: If the wires & circuit board weren't visible - is it just another interesting electronic sign hung without permission?
Now they've arrested some fool over this. I wouldn't leave any old computer parts laying around by the curb people - or else you'll become the next terrorist! Be sure your cell phone has the battery cover in place at all times, and for god's sake don't ever - never - ever tape a couple of batteries together!!!!!
Just hook me up to the Matrix now and get it over with....

The only real panic was caused by the ninnies at places like LGF who have grown so disconnected, paranoid, and creepy, that everything they see is a potential terrorist plot. Or if not a potential plot, the potential to BE a potential plot, and around and around. Their central complaint is that the rest of us aren't equally petrified to the extent that cartoon light boxes, in place in 10 cities for 2 weeks - and in Boston for 2 weeks - while maybe not ACTUAL terror plots, still invoked their own feelings of impotence. Therefore, the fiends who perpetrated this revalation must be punished because *somehow* the real terrorists might have picked up a tip as to how to proceded with their next plot. The absurdity and utter *fallaciousness* of thought is staggering.
Real terrorists couldn't have hoped for a more inane response to such a thing.

What is sooo typical about LGFs is that even now that it has been proven to be, again, nothing, they will not let go of their hysteria.
They still maintain that these little boxes with electronic cartoon images on them LOOKED LIKE BOMBS, and THEY WERE WHERE BOMBS WOULD BE, and NOW THE TERRORISTS WILL MAKE THEIR BOMBS LOOK LIKE CARTOON MARKETING CAMPAIGNS. Once I saw a photo of what the 'bombs' looked like, I was embarassed for the Boston police and fire departments.
It's also absurd the number of these nut jobs that want to see the poor slackers thrown in prison. It wasn't even legally a HOAX, since no one made any fake bomb threats. It's ridiculous.
That said, Turner should probably pay the some of the costs.
