Big Media: The Threat Within

For all of the sniping at old media by blogs, their greatest enemies seem to either lie within, or come from that place. Now Eason Jordan is making news by going after the AP and the AP has responded just as you might predict - with arrogance and denial.

Bernard Goldberg, John Stossel, those are also old media types now using new media to take on their old home. And bloggers seem to fit the bill as foot soldiers in the effort very well.

Bob at Confederate Yankee does an analysis involving the mysterious Jamal Hussein.

While Patterico does his annual evaluation of the LA Times.

Ultimately, it won't be the errors and omissions of big media pointed out by blogs that will bring them down, it will be their arrogant, or sometimes lack of response - coupled with, in many cases, their issues with biased reporting.

I love Bernie. The opening pages of "Bias" are powerful. He describes how some punk journalist made Steve Forbes look like a moron as he talked about a flat tax. Whether you like Forbes or not, your jaw drops at what the reporter/journalist does to him.

I'll go click on the links now. That means I won't be back for five hours.

Bloggers shouldn't make links. The Linkosphere just means people get lost and end up on Christian blogs where they get eaten alive. There should be warnings on those blogs:"If you are a non-believer, enter at your own risk." Or keep your mouth shut.
