Here's the faq on the pledge.
It's time to send a message to the Republicans. Another thousand plus since Hugh's last post.
It's not "nearly 10,000" signatures. It's 16,000+ signatures.
The conventional wisdom was refuted and politicians surprised last time they heard from a so-called silent majority. Our MSM hardly gets anything right anymore. Witness this last bit of nonsense out of Iraq on the part of the AP, which follows up to a post from yesterday by Charles here.
We know the pols are lying when invoking a military poll. While I am not saying the MSM is lying with their polling on Iraq, the questions are very complex, emotions change - and MSM polling has a terrible reputation for accuracy as it is.
All of this is obvious --to anyone not a prisoner of the Manhattan-Beltway media machine. Those entombed in the buzz are still chatting about Green Room asides from Sunday's Meet The Press appear to be oblivious to the rightroots. But the country approved of the president's State of the Union and applauds the appointment of General Petraeus and earnestly hopes that his leadership, the reinforcements, and the new rules of engagement will stabilize Iraq and allow that country to develop into a fixture of Middle East progress.
Here's an additional method to contact your representatives. Don't be silent and don't back down - it's time to fight for what you believe in. Sign the pledge.
No surrender, no retreat. And Republicans who take that line should be attacked politically, including in the next round of primaries. Enough is enough. We already have one feckless political party in America, we don't need two.

Ooh, Dan learned a new word! Feckless. He's been tryng it out a lot lately.

I can't wait till someone tries to present this petition to any actual politician. What a laugh riot. Funnier than the time Tom DeLay posted a Steven Colbert rant on his own website in his own defense.

Tim at Balloon Juice nails the current situation:
"It’s hard to feel sorry for the GOP. They fought like hell to own this war and fought even harder to stifle adult supervision. Given how Rove’s Republicans cynically manipulated every aspect of this war for political gain it seems perfectly, inescapably appropriate to watch them suffer exactly the fate that they hoped to inflict on the hated Democrat party."

ah geez.
when you stick your hand in a blender, and realize that you are getting your hand mangled by the blades, is it 'retreat and defeat' or 'cut and run' to remove your hand from said blender?
or would you bushlicking sycophants just push it further in, up to your elbow?

"or would you bushlicking sycophants just push it further in, up to your elbow?"
Some defeatists argue that turing off the blender, or perhaps unplugging it, or yes, even the unthinkable act of pulling one's hand OUT OF IT, are acceptable ways of ending the violence done to one's hand. However, such cowardly actions clearly will only embolden the blend-o-fascists. !!!VICTORY!!! is the only solution.

"78 percent of speech viewers reacted positively"
22% hardcore moonbats sounds about right.

At the risk of pointing out the blatantly obvious, what kind of a moron sticks their hand in a blender? If a more pathetic and inept analogy has ever been uttered in the English language, I'll eat a handful of axle grease.
My God, Dan, can't you even afford any literate trolls? Do we need to hit the tipjar so you can buy you some new jesters?

"what kind of a moron sticks their hand in a blender?"
Exactly the same kind of moron who invades a foreign country with insufficient troops, no international mandate, and no plan for a successful occupation. That's actually the point.
How's that grease tasting?

Check out the thread called "Think Positively". It's a thread that begins on a charming, whimsical note, with Riehl wishing for the death of Americans whom he dislikes. You can find it here:
http://www.riehlworldview.com/carnivorous_conservative/2007/01/think_positivel.html#comment-28324580
In it, you'll find Riehl claiming that he's a vet, and then, after much shucking 'n' jiving, finally revealing that he was NEVER in the military.
What sort of pathetic worm feels the need to lie like this?
If any of you right-wingers take this lickspittle seriously, you're welcome to watch Riehl kill whatever "reputation" he might have, with his own two hands.

Gotta retract that last. I misread a passage.
