Violence, Spitting Greet Tancredo At Michigan Law School

Just one more example of free speech when it comes to discussing immigration on the college campus today, I suppose.

This is pathetic.

Violence erupted at a Michigan law school Thursday when protestors tried to block a speech by Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo.

Police were called after protestors pulled a fire alarm prior to the speech on immigration policies. There were at least three violent incidents with protestors targeting student backers of the event, Tancredo, R-Littleton, said today.

"One was spit on, one was kicked, and one was punched," Tancredo said in an e-mail. "Tires were also slashed."

Michigan State University College Republicans and Young Americans for Freedom sponsored the event.

Tancredo went to Michigan State University College of Law as part of a visit to the state to talk about immigration. He leads the group that opposes legal status for illegal immigrants.

Protestors interrupted the speech with loud shouting.

I hope to hear denunciations of this chilling of free speech from the tribunes of the First Amendment commenting way below on the Iraqi government's plans to challenge or sue "news" agencies peddling unverified or mightily disputed anecdotes as stop-the-presses bulletins.

when the kind, loving, tolerant, liberal nitwits at columbia disrupted the (planned, invited) speech of the minuteman guy, they were heard squealing "he has no right to speak!!". this was of course denied, until the tape was played, and then they segued into an amusing little lie about "us crazy college kids and our passionate natures", or some such. since leftwing scum always lie, we can expect to hear something like this from the UM tantrum-throwers.

Socialists and fascists should never be confused with someone who supports free speech or even open debate. Somehow liberal avenger must think that Tancredo gave EU a big FU and have some information that he's involved in killing innocent Iraqis and shouldn't be allowed to voice his opinion. With reasoning like this should we be surprised that liberals openly support Islamofascist's constant "death to America" chant and even invite the Iranian Monkeyboy to speak at a university when he visits the UN. Oh now I see, Monkeyboy isn't American, he has freedom of speech but we shouldn't.
