I remember when I posted on this incident in January.
video included: It's a murder trial many people in Savannah anticipated most of the past year: 19-year-old Jennifer Ross was shot during a Christmas Eve armed robbery last year, and died on New Year's Day.
There was a lot of nervous energy as testimony began Thursday.
During opening arguments, the state painted an ugly picture of the three defendants, while the defense laid the groundwork for their claims of mistaken identity. By the end of the day, emotions were running extremely high.

Just holding the comments door open til Hi-May wakes up & issues a denunciation.
Cordially...

Part of the problem with the story is that it doesn't mention that there is compelling evidence that Ms. Ross and her friends were in that neighborhood to buy drugs that night, not simply strolling around on Christmas Eve. THAT part of the story isn't getting the attention it deserves because she's 1) white and 2) from a prominent and wealthy family (as are her friends, particularly Ms. Sprague). It's an open secret in Savannah that this wasn't a random robbery; it was a drug buy gone bad.
Wealthy white teens with plenty of cash to spend doing what too many of their ilk are doing these days. Take a drive into your local drug market and see who the customers are. It may shock you to see that it's well-to-do teens in expensive cars making the trip in from their protective enclaves.

So what? Does that mean she deserved it? It isn't 'that bad' that she was murdered?

I want to know where that secret came from because I never heard it and I live here. Oh yeah and the last time I checked Orleans square wasnt known for its drug trafficing.

Michele is not that type of person to kill someone.

RICK Are you for real?? So someone buying or smoking a little pot makes them worthy of death. Ridiculous! A young lady not by colour, race or creed was killed. The parents, family are grieving no matter who they are. A love of a mother/father is not determined by the colour of skin or religious affiliation. A young woman is not with us (any many more) and I would feel indignant no matter the colour of her or his skin. God bless and may He keep you close in His hand. Please find strength in the power of Christ or your God. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
