There's a blogger local to the mall which was threatened. He has some tips for anyone following news reports. He also has a daughter scheduled to play in a concert there, soon.
Jules Crittenden takes on the whole chicken-hawk meme. If the threats we are facing were brought home to more people, I doubt they'd be so weak in the face of them. I don't believe for a minute that journos and bloggers are doing something equivalent to what our troops are doing as regards the war on terror. But I do believe there is the potential for any of us to be swept onto a battlefield here at home in the blink of an eye due to an attack by someone living with an evil ideology in their heart and mind.

Wow - you've really got yourself worked up into a lather over the 22 year old idiot who tried to trade his speakers for hand grenades.
Do you feel as silly as you look?

Absolutely certain, for Lib Avenger...if the offender had been a member of some Christian group, or proven to be associated with a conservative organization, you'd be wetting yourself with horror.

Not likely.
I'd say exactly the same as I'm saying this time:
Stupidity, youth, poverty and mental illness can be a dangerous combination.

His family has pointed out that he was raised a Christian and only converted very recently.
I guess he's a mixed Christian AND Islamic terrorist.

It was stated he converted or joined NOI seven years ago. That would make him 15 at the time. Or perhaps his brand of Islam is so evil it corrupted him in such a short period of time. Don't worry, you can always write him in prison and propose marriage or conjugal ass kissing visits, or something.

"Stupidity, youth, poverty and mental illness can be a dangerous combination."
Can someone explain to me why Haiti isn't a nation of terrorists again...
