The LOL funny of the day has to be Alec Baldwin weighing in on defeating terrorism. Okay, I admit I started laughing before I read it, but, come on, this has to be good! I'll actually read it now that I'm done chuckling. Let's see:
Funny how neo-cons want to say that everything about the Sixties was meaningless, insignificant, silly, indulgent and un-American, except the Vietnam war.
The war in Iraq has pushed a lot of buttons with this crowd, but it all seems to be wired, to some degree, to Southeast Asia. About erasing that perceived defeat (their perception).
About "getting it right."
Ut oh, Alec is off his meds again. Who in this political argument has been invoking Vietnam for the past three years?
After bashing conservatives like Bill Bennet for praising a strong woman like Jean Kirkpatrick, Baldwin unveils his secret plan for combating terrorism - beyond a diplomatic solution apparently too complex to waste his time discussing.
His solution?
There is an answer to this problem. There is a way to defeat terrorism while building new and better alliances in the Arab world. It will be an enormously complex and difficult diplomatic puzzle. But the first step might be oddly simple. Get rid of the CIA ... I think our hopes must begin there.
How brilliant. Damn, I should have thought of that, first.
Thank God our hopes aren't being protected by the likes of Alec Baldwin.

Getting rid of the CIA sounds like a poor idea - almost as bad as invading Iraq and letting it go to shit.

This moron doesn't even understand what the bulk of the CIA is about.
FWIW, I just put in a job app to the CIA for a research scientist position.

a masters in political science?
Gee, another degree program created so idiot Liberals don't have to really learn anything. I guess he didn't have the grades to make the sociology program! LOL

I don't know the facts in this matter--and don't care to investigate the answer--but I believe proof of Baldwin's room-temp IQ would be established if he has posting privileges at HuffingtonPost.
I mean, that's one handy indicator.
Cordially...

What a genius Baldwin is. Makes one glad his kind are slowly taking the government back from the bad, bad neocons.
