While Iran's latest attempt to deny the Holocaust is troubling - an alleged forming of an It Didn't Happen foundation they hope one day to seat in, of all places, Berlin ... it isn't actually the outcome of any ignorant debate of the Holocaust that matters most to the world today. No one can factually undo such a well-noted and frequently annotated history. It isn't the outcome of any debate we need to fear the most.
Far more troubling is the we versus them dynamic Iran's efforts have the ability to establish, not only within the Middle East, but now being packaged for export into Europe and perhaps even the West. After all, David Duke was one of the most visible attendees at Iran's recent embarrassing conference on this very theme.
Just as physical terrorists want to chip away at an enemies state of mind through on going attacks, attempting to instill fear and trepidation over time, this Holocaust business by Iran isn't about proving the Holocaust didn't happen. It's much more about creating apprehension and ambivalence around the Jewish State.
Just as our enemies hope to kill American resolve in the Middle East through a thousand cuts, Iran is now setting out to quash what exists of the world's desire to preserve Israel - a democratic state in a region of the world that sorely needs more of them, not less.
They do keep coming, our enemies - and they will until they are dealt with fully. As in any war, that basically means destroyed - the regime, not the country, of course. Don't be fooled into thinking Iran is looking to have a debate, however misguided. What we are seeing here is simply one more front in an increasingly global war.
In reality, one's support for Israel should have nothing to do with one's feelings about Jews. The core issue here should be the preservation of freedom and democracy around the world, not the mostly useless gesture of confronting the ignorant over their particular brand of hate.

"The core issue here should be the preservation of freedom and democracy around the world"
What are you, some kinda dinosaur? ;->

No, he's simply naive. We didn't win WWII by destroying regimes; we won it by destroying countries, so that the population had no more will to keep supporting the ideologies.

BS. We've also had innumerble adnavces in military technology and we don't need to fire bomb cities anymore. We can attack the power supporting structures, including infrastructure with a level of effectiveness we didn't have in WWII. There isn't a need to bomb the populations.
