Arab Fighters Heading To Somalia

It's becoming much easier to predict where our next battle is going to take place. The Arabs are said to be arriving in response to a call from the Islamic COurts for world-wide Islamic support for their jihad in Somalia. They already control the southern portion of the county.

In Kismayo, a seaport captured from the government by Islamic militiamen in September, people reported seeing several foreign Arab fighters disembarking from ships this week.

Fighting that killed hundreds of people in recent days has intensified worries about a major conflict engulfing the Horn of Africa. Ethiopia has one of the largest armies in the region and its bitter rival, Eritrea, is supporting the Islamic militia.

Some Al-Qaeda fighters are already known to have sought refuge in Somalia.

Instability in the region has allowed Islamic extremists to gain a foothold, U.S. officials have warned while charging that leaders of the Islamic militia in Somalia provide refuge for al-Qaida members.

We've been preping for it for a while now. Tarawa is on station, the Germans have a Frigate in the area, we're joint training with the French, and we're getting the Djibouti military up to speed on anti-terror ops, working close with the Ethiopians, Kenyans, etc.
