America At Risk
Democrat Senator John Kerry is in Cairo, Egypt calling for America to enter into dialog with Syria and Iran regarding the Middle East. Make no mistake, those are determined enemies and only a fool would think that dialog is going to change their clearly stated goals - to dominate the Middle East and weaken America at every turn.
That comes on the heels of Democrat Senator Bill Nelson presuming a role the Senate does not have by holding meetings with the Syrian leadership - and he is far from alone.
Nelson said he reported the information to embassy officials and will brief his congressional committees on the trip. He said he expects Senators John Kerry, Christopher Dodd and Arlen Specter to also visit Syria.
Speaker-to-be Pelosi is now talking about restructuring House oversight of the intelligence gathering function in ways which should give concerned observers tremendous pause.
The commission's Republican chairman, former New Jersey Gov. Thomas Kean, said Pelosi's plan was a helpful step. But, he added, "It depends very much who the chairman is and who the members are."
Yes, it certainly does. Remember, this is the Party that gave us the Gorelick wall. Their actions would result in more information being given to a legislature we already know we can not trust to keep secrets. Do we need to read all of our National Security secrets in the New York Times? And by scrutiny of intelligence spending, linking efforts to dollars, a party that does not appreciate the great risk to our nation from Islamo-Fascist terrorism is poised to weaken our defenses in complex ways we can not depend on the MSM to explain clearly to the American people.
Far Left Liberal Democrat Patrick Leahy, a leaker with a history all his own, is already threatening subpoenas and has repeatedly demonstrated his strong desire to undue prudent intelligence gathering steps this administration has taken for the cause of protecting America from attack.
As a result of the November election, we are entering a dangerous time in America. Perhaps not so much for what will happen today or tomorrow, but for the foolish steps which will be taken, steps that will undoubtedly leave us at greater risk in days to come.
It is imperative that concerned Americans, conservative or not, remain vigilant and hold the coming legislature to account for every step they take, most particularly if it is a step down a misguided road to disaster for America at the hands of terrorists in the years to come.

Nelson is a mush brained liberal. The Syrians will play him like a Steinway, and roll him like a Bowery drunk.

And the other mush-brained idiot: "Democrat Senator John Kerry is in Cairo, Egypt calling for America to enter into dialog with Syria and Iran "
What's with going abroad to make statements about America? Is it a Dixie-Chick Syndrome or what?
You know these foreign leaders get behind closed doors and laugh themselves to death over these fools.
