Will The GOP Hold Congress?

Right Wing News polled the right side of the blogosphere on whether they think the GOP will hold the House and Senate. RWN also asked bloggers to select from a list of reasons for why the GOP has had so much difficulty this year. Check the results here. Sixty-two bloggers responded, including me.

i'll go out on a limb & say the gop will hold serve. no other reason except my memories of 2002: when the dems swore they would, in their righteous fury over bush stealing the election, smite the wicked and lay waste to the land! and the polls all agreed!

result: gop picked up seats.

then, 2004: more swearing, threats of fiery retribution, ululating calls for a blue wave to sweep the land, etc etc. ("ok, now we're really pissed this time! we super-duper mean it!!") and the polls all REALLY agreed!!!

result: they lost.

and now, 2006. am beginning to see a pattern here....
