Okay, it isn't the Thrilla in Manila. Great image here. Hell, it isn't even the Rumble in the Jungle. Call it the Terror in the Sphere between Ace and Allah. Charles judiciously says, I ain't taking sides, but his gut sides with Ace.
While I've already made my sentiments known, I'll be perfectly candid, no one but Kerry will ever really know. And I don't know and don't care.
What I do know is that six days away from an election, for which the run up has been one long MSM assault on the GOP, the War and conservatives - for a couple of sweet, much needed days, the Right blogosphere, in some small part, helped keep the news cycle away from daily body counts from Iraq and the Dem talking points the media has opted to so unashamedly embrace.
The fight I care about is bigger than John Kerry and the blogosphere and the consequences for America couldn't be more great. Sure, it's only a House seat here, a Senator there. But if you stop to think of the damage that can be done by having a Presidency steeped in subpoenas while fighting a war the media already doesn't support ... not to mention all the other nonsense the Dems are sure to launch, including watering down the NSA and CIA if they can, the consequences become much larger then they first appear.
The fight I want to win comes November 7th - and if it can't be won, we certainly can try and deflect some damage. And if that means hammering some Liberal ass-hat who started a lot of this because he thought he deserved to be President when he lost ... then screw 'em ... if I might quote Kos. I'd hammer Kerry into the ground for anything he said if I thought it might help us win.
Being high minded and getting it right is absolutely important to blogging. But right now ain't about blogging for me. It's about something far more important than that. I'll get back to worrying about the truth on November 8th. You can't fight a MSM and have a prayer of winning when they themselves have displayed such an utter disregard for that very thing.
Right now I don't want to be better or more right than someone else. Hell, I just want to win.
